May's POV

It had been about three years since My journey with Ash Ketchum. And I still havnt seen him. Ive been waiting for him, But I feel like Arceus Had other plans.

I knew I should have Told him my feelings while I had the chance, And now I'm suffering the consequences.

I'm Facing off another challenger At the Grand festival. And I was having a hard time keeping my focus. But the judges hadnt noticed. 

My mind was on Ash Ketchum. My first and Only crush.

Two days before the Grand festival

Ash's POV

I smiled as I stepped off of a Plane. I was in one of my favorite regions.... Hoenn. I was here for the Grand festival. And to see someone I could never stop thinking about.

Her beautiful Sapphire Eyes, and radiant Smile. was all I could think about for the past three years. 

And I finally decided to come back. I smiled as I walked to the Pokecenter.

I walked over to the VideoPhone. and Dialed a number I could never forget. 

Someone picked up from the other side. I smiled "Hey Norman long time no see"

His eyes widened "A-Ash??" 

I nodded and Pikachu Laughed. He smiled "So you finally return huh?"

I nodded "Yeah actually I need you to do something for me"

He looked at me expectantly. I smiled and looked at Pikachu "I need you to not tell May Im here. I'm going to do something at the Grand Festival."

Norman Smiled and began to laugh "Ash you crack me up. Of course I wont tell her."

I smiled "Thanks Norman. I gotta go set some things up So I'll Call you later"

He Cleared his throat "Umm Ash do you know where the Grand festival even is?"

I sweatdropped as I remembered. "Umm NO IDEA"

He laughed "You never change, Its in Fortree City this year."

I sighed in relief "Thanks Norman I dont know what I'd do without you."

He smiled "Youd probably Forget your own head"

I sweatdropped again and laughed "Well I'll see you at Fortree city then"

He nodded and hung up.

I slowly shook my head at my own Ignorance. I looked at Pikachu who was trying not to Die of laughter. I sighed again and walked over to the door. Time to Book it to Fortree city.

One Day before the Grand Festival

May's POV 

I looked at my dad Norman. Hes been acting weird for the past day and I want to know why, "Dad What are you hiding?"

He jumped slightly "Uhh I'm not hiding anything honey! I promise!!"

I slightly narrowed my eyes and placed my hands on my hips. I could tell he was lying. "Dad If you dont tell me I'll let Blazekin use flamethrower on you."

His eyes widened but then hardened "I'm not hiding anything stop worrying."

I was kinda surprised His attitude did a one eighty. It was definitely a sign He was hiding something but I decided to just leave it be. "Whatever dad I gotta go get ready"

I walked away and toward the Pokemon center. 

I walked in and Nurse Joy looked at me. When I saw her face I knew something was up. "Hey Nurse Joy!" 

She jumped slightly Just like Dad did.

I looked around and noticed a Backpack laying on a chair behind the Nurses Desk. I started to recognize the Backpack but Nurse Joy spoke up "What can I do for you May?"

I snapped out of the trance and looked at her "Do you have my Pokeblock Kit ready?"

She nodded and pulled it out from under the desk.

I took it from her and started to walk out until I realized something. The Pokeblock kit was full.

I tilted my head slightly. and looked at the Pinkish Purple Pokeblock. and realized something They were my own creation. My Purple surprise!

I was at a loss I thought I was the only one who knew the recipe. I shook it off and walked back to the Gym.

THE DAY OF THE FESTIVAL 

Ash's POV

I walked into Fortree City and smiled Im glad I stopped by Petalburg city. I wonder what her face looked like when She saw my small present.

I laughed softly and so did Pikachu.

"Well Buddy Its the day." I looked at the Outfit in my arms and smiled "She wont know what hit her"

I walked to the Festival grounds and straight to the Judges room.

I knocked a few times and heard someone say come in. I opened the door and smiled. Mr. Contesta looked at me and smiled as well. "Welcome back Ash Ketchum"

I laughed "Its good to be back"

The judge I could never remember except for his ONE line smiled "REMARKABLE"

I sweatdropped Thats why I never remembered his name.

"Well Mr Contesta I'm going to get ready for the Festival."

He nodded "Good luck Ash"

I walked out and to the changing rooms. I changed into a simple Black coat that reached the ground. with a pair of Fingerless gloves. and a Black Japanese Style Straw hat.

I Walked out and smiled as i heard the announcer kick off the competition.

PRESENT TIME

May's POV

I looked at my Final Challenger. I kid in a Long black coat with a Black straw hat going by the name 'Satoshi' 

I wasnt focusing because of how Easy this year's Challengers were to beat. But I was thrown for a loop when this kid sent out a Sceptile.

I decided to focus and I sent out Blazekin. Right before the battle started I saw Satoshi Unclip His hat but leave it on.

The ref started the battle and I started. "Blazekin Ues Blaze Kick!"

Blazekin Flew at breakneck speed toward Sceptile, Which was courtesy of my Speed training.

But I gasped when Sceptile Disappeared and reappeared behind Blazekin before Dealing a Powerful Leaf Blade attack. which sent Blazekin into the outer wall. 

I looked up at my points and gasped 'My points just got cut in half by one attack??' 

I rubbed my eyes and realized Blazekin seemed to have seen a ghost. Thats when I realized Satoshi's Hat was blown off during the last attack.

My eyes couldnt believe who was standing in front of me.

My eyes started to water up as He smiled and raised his hand. "I FORFEIT"

I covered my mouth with my hand in shock. I was beginning to cry.

He walked over to me and embraced me. He was so warm, and I felt safe in his arms. Ash Ketchum's Arms.....

"Hello May" 

I started to cry "A-Ash..... Its You.." 

He drew back and smiled Then Pikachu jumped onto my head from behind me. I smiled as Tears streamed down my face.

The stadium seemed to be in suspense until Ash leaned in closer to me and Planted his lips onto mine. His touch was so warm It made me melt.

After what seemed like forever He let go of the kiss. And i took My opportunity and Tackled him to the floor.

"Ash I MISSED you."

I was crying again. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him "I know and Im sorry."

I shook my head "No need, You are here now Thats what matters."

He laughed "Well Mayflower, Do you want to receive your trophy?"

I shook my head "No I just want to be with you"
