"Follow me," Combusken said running down the mountain. Riolu was to invested in his work to notice us slipping away.  "They shouldn't be too far now."

"Thanks, Combusken," Pippy said. "We'd be done for if it wasn't for you." 'Your vast knowledge on the Two Great Powers has been really helpful,' I agreed. "It's nothing, I'm just glad that I'm on the right side now. If anything I should be thanking you two," Combusken said, smiling, glancing back at Pippy and me.

"Okay, we're here," Combusken said stopping in front of an entrance to a cavern. "The Spirits are located at the back of the cavern." "Okay! Let's do this! Come on, (Y/N)!" Pippy said charging in. 'Right behind you Pippy!'

The cavern was dimly lit by soft blue gems located in the walls, floor, and ceiling. "Woah, it's beautiful here, in fact, it kind of reminds me of our first Rescue Misson in Crystal Caves." 'Yeah, it does,' I responded. 

"Sorry to ruin the moment, but we need to save the Spirits before this world is torn apart." I turned around to see Combusken behind me. I nodded. Combuken pointed to a dimmer part of the cave. "They're over there."

We walked over to the dim part of the cave. There the Spirits were knocked out, their bodies completely encased in crystal. 'When you said they were trapped in the access material, I didn't think there would be this much!' 

"Sorry, Riolu, and I want to make sure they couldn't escape and try to stop us." 'Still, I'm not giving up! We'll just have to combine our strength a do a team attack to break them free!' I started to charge up a Flamethrower while Pippy did the same with his Bubblebeam.

"Wait, that won't work, you're just wasting energy," Combusken said. "Huh? Why?" Pippy whined. "Think about it. We need the Spirits of the Soul to break the chain and you do know what the chain is made of, right?" 

"Oh yeah, right," Pippy said sadly. 'Well, then what do you propose we do? We can't just give up!' I said determinedly. "We have to help them!" Pippy added. "Hold on one second, I thinking," Combusken said deep in thought.

Suddenly the crystal the Spirits of the Soul were trapped in started glowing brightly. "Gah! What is that?" Pippy asked shielding his eyes from the light. "The Spirits," Combusken started. "They were reacting to us. While they do represent the most important part of the soul they can also feel those parts as well and if those emotions are strong enough... well, we might be able to wake them up then they can destroy the crystal from the inside out."
