Chapter 20: Mugs, Thugs and Sexual Harassers!
On a glorious day at the Pokémon school, just like any other, follows our favorite set of children partaking in most of everyone's favorite pastime. A Pokémon battle! After defeating a mighty Raticate at night, Bob felt the power of a knight linger in him, feeling like this was just the beginning of his winning streak, while Saki, hasn't felt anything ever since her fight with the Gumshoos. Speaking of the two newest members of the Alolan classmates at Samson's Pokémon School, the two partake in a battle between each other, a white Z-Ring user and a black Z-Ring. It took serious persuasion to finally convince Saki to get up from the back of the classroom and to battle her classmate. The way that nails the deal as Ash (who did most of the dealing) to keep his yap shut from any of his normal ridiculousness. The class kept a good distance away from the action, while rooting for each of the two in their battle.
The battle was between Saki's Mimikyu and Bob's Houndour, things seemingly were in the boy's favor, thinking that he was gonna win from Saki's assuming lack of enjoyment of a Pokémon battle.
"Let's rock Houndour! Use Sludge Bomb!"
Several slobs of explosive poison flung right at Mimikyu, who suffered a dense hit from the attack, but luckily not poisoned in the making. Saki from her personal view is that she was annoyed that Mimikyu's Shadow is ineffective to the likes of Houndour because of its Dark typing, meaning she had to try another maneuver to achieve victory.
"Akemi... Use Play Rough now."
Zooming right into the target, Houndour was sent flying from the powerful Fairy type move, but the battle sure wasn't over yet. Everyone focused in as this neck and neck battle was just about to wrap itself up.
"Let's try something with a little more firepower! Heheh!"
Mischievous snorting to his own play on words, Bob points straight ahead to knock Mimikyu down.
"Ember!"
Chards of fire gusts toward the small ghastly Pokémon, little chance that it could defend itself against a move like Ember, even Saki felt a drop of seat on her face, from the motion of battle, and the heat itself. She aimed for a direction anyway and set out to counter.
"As if! Akemi, Thunderbolt,"
The powerful electric attack cuts through the weaker attack and strikes Houndour with a massive blow, ending the battle for the boy, leaving Saki in victory.
"Huh, who knew Thunderbolt would turn things around for me? Good game I guess."
Not looking directly at Bob after consulting with sportsmanship, she pats the cushiony layers of Mimikyu's head, nuzzling to the soft touch of her hands, while the rest of the class claps in her favor.
"Yay Saki! I knew you could do it!"
Mallow of course acts the most supportive of the group just like she always has been ever since they first met.
"Nice, I'll have to remember not to take you so lightly on our first match sometime Saki,"
Kiawe lightly smiles mostly joking around if they'd ever actually have a battle.
"Looks like Akemi is becoming closer and closer to Saki every battle! Definitely something to take note of!"
Lillie claps her hands in a peaceful way, while Snowly wagged its tail to the joy that was in the air.
"Sure lookzzz like Saki's Mimikyu is the polar opposite of Jezzzie'zz no good Mimikyu, isn't it Ash?"
Rotom snapshots another picture of Akemi while in the hands of Saki, but Ash claps for the both of them.
"No doubt Rotom! But let's not forgot Bob put one time of a show too! Right-"
Turing to the boy, Ash's sudden mood smoothly halts to see Bob suddenly shut down after returning his Pokémon back into its Pokéball. His thoughts scattered in his mind, him losing to someone who he at least thought took most things with a grain of salt defiantly didn't sit well of him. He sat there, his vision kneeled to the ground, not having the sportsmanship to even look up after a lost.
"And to think... I was just gonna go places with my Pokémon..."
He takes a knee onto the ground, trying to regain his cool as he starts spewing words that negatively influenced him. His friends from the back wondered what he was saying, but Lana tilted her head with the most concern, having a closer relationship to him than the others.
"Uhh, Bibby Boo...?"
Saki finally looks upon from her quiet affection of her first Pokémon and looks at the boy who's trying not to lose it. She quickly took pity on him and slaps him with cold arms.
"Get up Bob, it's just one battle. It's nothing to cry over."
She pick her words without much thought, but Bob looks up with sudden anguish along with the bad thoughts in his head and stood back up. He never appreciated the idea of trying to cheer someone up without a sense of fantasy sprinkled on it. He hated the real world words that some people attempt to say, but he wasn't just gonna sit this one out just because it was Saki.
"Easy for you to say, Mrs. Saki,"
He begins, letting go a piece of his mind, while still trying to remain calm.
"I honestly don't know why you're still acting like that... You won didn't you?... I'm not asking for much but the least you can do is to be a bit more... Kind."
Eye contact was very still in this shot of drama, everyone remained silent, wondering what would Saki do right as he spoke. The first thing she did was placing Akemi right into the ground, and he trails him, giving him a look that could even shake the bravest of boys her age a look you cannot call "cute" or "adorable" just for laughs or cut of intimation.
"You honestly think for one second that I'm gonna drop everything just to give you a satisfying sense of grace after asking to battle you a thousand times? I could be asking for a thank you for even wasting my time on this damn battle with you. But I don't! All I'm asking now is to stop, stop your bitterness now."
Cornering now shaking Bob onto the wall of the Pokémon school, everyone closes in on what was to happen next. Saki at this point was a tad too close to him. She wants to make sure Bob was getting the message to cut the crappy attitude of his by doing something even he will remember if this sort of mishap was to happen again. But Bob actually ends up pulling something that nobody, ever saw coming.
"Umm... I see what your talking about now but... You shouldn't be standing so... So close to me."
Saki didn't even consider moving until she heard a clear cut understand message from Bob, but she had to just throw it out there. She asked,
"And why's that?"
The next second later, he leans his head in and pecks her RIGHT on the lips for a split second. Everyone literally gasp to his action, Saki froze to calculate what on earth just happened, which gave the boy the opportunity to slip out of her grasp and run for his dear life.
"Gotta barf! Bye!"
The level of anger in Saki after that sucker kiss was nothing compared to her clenching hands and quick footed sprint to catch the boy and break every bone in his body if he was ever to get away with something so violating.
"I'm gonna fucken kill yooooou! You sexual harasser!!"
She shouts as two shades of red on her face, the first shade was from anger and the other was a blushing red. What follows was an entire Goose chase between the class with a mixture of comments to even get throw Saki's head, while the combined strength of the other three girls, Ash and Sophocles weighing her down, Bob catching his breath out of shape for something so life threatening.
"Oh Arceus! She can run fast!"
"Easy for you to say!"
"Look, who's talking!"
"Don't let go! Don't let go!"
First Sophocles, than Ash, to Mallow as spoken until Saki finally rips herself from the grip of the classmates, but no longer wants to crush the bones of the boy. She instead trails off school grounds, Akemi following worriedly, wondering off somewhere in the meantime.
Mallow turns to make making a serious face 88% less scary as Saki's and grabs Bob's wrist.
"You, me, my dad's restaurant! Now!"
She spoke not even in her mellow and cheerful upset mood, but something just as serious as she was during the time Team Rocket had a quarrel with her for the first time.
Everyone soon arrived in the restaurant, pointing their attention at the boy who started this whole mess.
"How could you do something like that to Saki! After all she's been though!"
Mallow scolds at Bob for his immature stunt he pulled earlier making him even more guilty than he wanted to be.
"Okay okay! So maybe... My head wasn't in the right place doing something as mindless as... That, but I only said those things because I can't control it! It's not because I still don't like her or anything, it's because I don't take losing very well, that's all!"
Bob sighs, breaking down why he even smooched Saki, which caused Lana to huff, standing the farthest of the group with a strange pout to her face.
"Hey, is something up Lana?"
Sophocles looks up from his thinking phase, while Lana puts away the fact she might have a discoverable jealously of the concept of kissing, even in this situation alone.
"Oh no no, I'm okay! Really! But... I do have one question Bob..."
"What's that?"
"What did she taste like?"
Everyone gives Lana a weird look, as Bob blushed brighter than he did before, but Lana stayed perfectly still, serious about her question.
"You're serious Lana??"
"Yes."
"It wasn't intentional, but she tastes like a bun... With sweat-"
"OKAY!! That's not the point!!"
Mallow waves her arms in the air before the topic got out of hand.
"Mallow's right. This is getting a bit too weird, even for us."
Kiawe shuddered just the idea about sharing kissy details right in front of his friends and not someone as personal as a boyfriend or girlfriend to say.
"Too weird for us? Umm... Yeah that's right. No doubt about it."
Ash sweatdrops, wanting to admit there's always more in the future that could possibly be more weird than this, but didn't have the heart too.
"Bob, you need to be forward with her. You need to apologize for this insensitive stunt you pulled. We'll be right there to... Keep her from pulling your eyeballs off your sockets."
Kiawe concludes a plan that may (keyword) forgive Bob on this foul move of his.
"You need to tell her you aren't the best at the acceptance of losing, and you need to be accepting that Saki isn't going to simply follow your self l-centered orders."
Kiawe too breaks down the reality of Bob's position of losing, which slid from his forehead to the chin in disgust, a second later accepting what needs to be done.
"... Yes, that is best."
Splitting up seven different ways to find the girl who flicked herself away from the Pokémon school, it was no easy task to find her in an entire island. She could at the beach relaxing, she could be in serious danger trying to handle herself against the likes of Team Rocket once more. Only sticking to grounds that they've been, no leads could be confirmed on where the girl was. Bob spent at least an hour trying to pick up a lead to her location, which finally rose from the sound of a Pokémon battle just over a row of bushes in the way.
Bob latched out from the forest, finally finding the girl, who appears to be in one peace. She and Litten are currently battling against the no good numbskulls Tupper, Wrap and Zip of earlier mentioning of Team Skull. It's been a while ever since is first encounter with them, but is glad Saki is to be seen wiping the floors with their dignity, knocking back a Zubat and a Yungoose with Litten's Scratch.
"Now that's just trippy! Y'all just insane! N-No different than the rest of your friends!"
Tupper sweats behind the two who currently lost against Saki and her own Pokémon.
"Cut the slang guys, your not cool and you'll honestly never will be if you're going out in those tacky shorts and tops. Damn it! Doesn't anyone know how to dress appealing anymore??"
Saki gets even more worked up, but it wasn't as bad as before, which was still enough to push away the thugs back from once they came.
"This isn't over! You'll pay for the damages you've caused!"
Wrap yelled before they completely drove off. Bob stood there with his arms crossed and sighed.
"Well I'll be damned."
He says under his breath before approaching Saki.
"That was surely a good way give them the ol'boot now wasn't it?"
Saki glances at him before she decided to leave the scene, continuing to give him the cold shoulder. Things were picking up into a shuffled chase once more, Bob had to switch gears if he wanted to keep Saki in for at least 5 seconds.
"Saki! Saki! Come on! I want to make things right! I want to apologize for-"
"Get lost! I'm done talking to you!"
She spits the words at his direction, hoping it would weigh him down to further the distance with each other.
"Please don't go! Just listen! If you don't want to for my sake, that's fine! Just do it for the others! For Lillie, for Ash, Kiawe, Lana, do it for Mallow!"
Using the last of the names was enough to keep her in place. Even she opened her eyes on Mallow's concern for her and the attention that she's been giving her. So she turns back, hands on the hips.
"Fine. You have ten seconds, what do you want."
She impatiently waits for Bob to breathe in relief, than he spoke what was right.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for taking so lightly before... Not just that battle... But... In general you know? I always thought since you didn't have the biggest preference to battle in the community... I just thought that... I could've won that."
Saying the truth right out of ones mouth could seriously change their own opinion right on the spot. Saki was still annoyed at the fact that he didn't take his losing as he should've, but she did give him a point or two for his honesty.
"... So maybe I shouldn't have been so harsh on you like that. Losing isn't the best feeling in the world."
She admits, which brings to a smile that things were starting to come around for the class.
"You're okay, don't worry about it. Perhaps you could teach me the ways of... Sportsmanship?"
"... Whenever I feel like it."
"I'll take that. Handshake."
The light hand contact only lasted for 8 seconds, which the two traded a clean smile right after. At least until Saki strikes him with a slap right across the face, and he let her know how much it hurts.
"OWW OWW OWW OWW!!! My face!! Why did you do that??"
"That's for kissing me. Nuff said."
"WELL-... I-Okay then... I deserve that..."
