Chapter Five : Happy birthday May!

No ones p.o.v.

Ash, Wally, and Serena were walking towards Mays house to suprise her for her birthday.

"Wow I can't wait to suprise May!" Ash said holding his water gun in his hand while Serena had water ballons and Wally had a latter.

"Me either! Though I do feel bad for doing this to May on her birthday." Serena said holding the ballons close to her.

"Well my mom said that Mays party is water theme so surprising her with this is not that bad." Wally said coughing

"Wally are you ok?" Ash asked turn back slightly.

"Yea I'm fine it's nothing more than just a little cold."

"Oh, well I hope you feel better." Serena said walking close to him.

"Thanks Serena!" Wally laughs

"Hey there's Mays mom."

"Hi guys! Ok so May is still asleep right now so be care going up the stairs. Wally I will show you where to set up at!" Mrs. Maple says helping Wally out while Ash and Serena tip toe upstairs.

Ash and Serena made their way up stairs quietly. When they reached May door they opened it. On the other side of the room Wally was opening up her window holding a hose.

Ash whispered the count down.

"Three"

"Two"

"One!"

"MUDKIP USE WATER GUN!" "AZURILL USE BUBBLES!" "WAILORD USE HYDRO PUMP!"

They screamed as they unleashed the 'water pokemon' on to May."

"AHHHHHHH COLD CHILD COLD COLD!!!!" May screamed jumping up from bed.

"Ahahahahahhhhhhhhahhhh!" Everyone started laughing.

"Oh very funny guys!" May shout.

"Come on May its time to get dressed even though it's your birthday you still have to go to school!" Mays mother shouted from the ground.

"Ok mom!" May shouted back to her. May helped Wally get into the room and closed the window.

Time skip

No p.o.v.

"See ya sis." Max said as they dropped off the twins and him.

"Bye guys! Have a good birthday May!" They said together giving her a hug.

"Thanks guys! Be good Max." May said her friends and her were heading towards her classroom.

Time skip!

"Happy Birthday May!" Her classmates said as she walked through the door.

Her thanked everyone on her way to her seat. As she thanked everyone she noticed Drew was in her seat.

"Um Drew I think you have the wrong seat."

Drew just smirked. He stood up and gave her a beautiful red rose that had no thorns on it.

"I know I just wanted to say happy birthday to you because it's not a 'happy' birthday unless I say it. " He said giving her a wink and placing the rose in her hand.

"Umm thanks ...... I guess." 'Not really.'

"Don't mention it ." He said with a flick of his hair sitting down in the seat right nexted to her.

"Alright cla- ahhhhhhhhahh-" Mrs. Iris said coming from the window to her desk only to slip on the graded papers neatly stacked on her desk. She fell to the ground and the paper went with her.

"So I graded all the papers from yesterday all of you pasted." Mrs. Iris said standing up from the floor.

"Also I brings to my attention that today is Miss May Maples birthday today so let's sing happy birthday to her." Bring May up to the front of her class for all to see.

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear May,  Happy Birthday to you!" The class shouted to her.

She was happy and embarrassed at the same time. She looked around at the smiling faces that sang to her. Wally was standing on a chair and Serena was holding him so he didn't fall. While Sid was jumping on the desk like a mad man singing to her. Drew was sitting at his desk smiling sing greatly to her.

However,  the only person she notice that wasn't singing was Brianna. Instead she was giving het a hateful stare and she didn't even know why.

As soon as everyone was done singing she headed for her seat. Her face looked brighter than any sun in the universe.

As soon as she sat down and Mrs. Iris started the kessin her felt a tap on her shoulder she looked over to see Drew holding a note in his hand. She quickly took the note and opened it.

'So how does it feel to have the whole class sing Happy Birthday to you like your in kindergarten.'

May stole a glance at him. He was teasing her.

'You'll get to find out for yourself when you get up there.' She wrote quickly handing him the note back.

'Well at least I know when to call in a sick day.'

'Then we'll sing it the nexted day.'

'Then I'll skip the week.'

'Then maybe will go to your home and sing it for you!'

'Stalker' May blushed when she read it.

'I am not a stalker!'

'Sure your not.' She looked over at Drew who had a smirk on his face.

'Im being serious!'

"May Maple and Drew Hayden you both have detention for passing notes in my class!"

They both looked up at Mrs. Iris to see her fuming with anger.

'uh oh.' They thought as they looked at the teacher blushing.

Time skip lunch time

"So May I hear you have detention from Mrs. Iris." Rafe said

"What, no, not my May!" Sid said with tears in the eyes.

"Yea Drew and I both did. " May replied

"What why?" Kelly asked

(A/N Kelly is the girl who introduced pokeblocks to May. You good you got ok. Just to make sure)

"We were passing notes in class." May blushed

'The nerve of that guy getting my May in trouble.'

"Well I got to get going bye May!" Kelly said walking off.

"Us to, bye May!" Rafe said

"Bye May!" Sid said winking to her as her walking into a support beam. May did a nervous chuckle and a sweet drop as Sid waved it off.

'Hmmm ...' May sat there in her thoughts.

Time skip detention time

"You to will sit here and think about what you have done."

"Yes Ma'am." They said as they sat on opposite side of the room May faced the wall while Drew faced it the window with a hand on his cheek.

"Iris I need a little help with something mind helping me out." Cilan said as he came through the door.

"Of course!" Mrs. Iris said walking out of the room.

After moments and moments of slowly growing tension in the air Drew decided to break the silence.

"May." Drew said still looking out the window.

"Yes Drew." May turned her head a little to see him.

"Got any plans for your birthday like a party."

"I don't know. My mom usually does something like a party our get together."

"Its get late do you have a ride home."

"Not really. My dad works late a the Petalburg Gym and my mom doesn't like to drive."

"If you want I can walk you home. I'll even let you hold my hand. "

May fully turned her head towards him. She blushed at him.

"That's if your scared of the dark." He turned his head to her showing a big smirk.

"As if!"  May face instantly turned sour at his remark. She turned her head away from him.

'The nerve of him!' May thought.

May continue to get mad at him until she realizes he was kinda cute. And she loved how his eyes and hair matched perfectly. Soon she realized what she was thinking.

'No that's impossible I don't have feeling for Drew ...... or do I?'

"May."  Drew said as he snapped her out of her thoughts.

"Um yes?"

"Seriously though a lady should not walk home alone I will walk you too your house."

May smiled "Thank you Drew."

Time skip

Drews p.o.v.

'Geez I don't know what I was thinking when I said I would walk her home.' Drew looked in his bag to see the wrapped gift he was going to give her.

We walked in silence, but was a nice silence.

A while back we came across a few weird looking people that stared at us. May tensed up a bit so I took her hand. We've been walking like that ever since.

"Well here we are. " May said turning towards him. "Thanks for the walk home Drew."

"No problem." I flipped my hair for effect.

"I'll see you tomorrow ok? And this time try and not get us dentition this time." She said putting a hand on the handle.

"Hold on May." I said as I tossed a medium box to her.

"What for me?"

"Well it is your birthday after all."

May opened it to find a new headband, a roselia plushie, and a wish maker that had a dragonair on it (A/N the wish maker is in Jirachi Wish Maker. It looks like this).

"Drew its great, thank you!"

'I knew that.'

"See you tomorrow."  I said nonchalantly as I walked away.

"Bye Drew!"

No p.o.v.

May opened the door and-

"SUPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"

May jump 3 feet into the air. Very suprised.

"You guys." May says as she runs and hugs everyone, then gets ready for the party.
