Another chapter done! And one summary is coming up first!

Before arriving at their location the gang came across a festival and decide to have some fun!

Food stalls, games, rides and performances were everywhere.

Mairin and Takato went to different rides, dragging their older brother and sister with them and had them go on some rides as well.

Brock was on the side, dancing with some performers in the open.

After some break they went to a circus tent and they met a magician named Melvin who has been doing wrong tricks for the crowd, which makes his boss on the edge of firing him.

The gang decide to help out with Yuna doing some performances to attract from people and then showed them a magic box, each of these boxes has symbols of Grass, Water and Fire on them. But inside the boxes where Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander and Utau who will help shape or float things and the trick was a success.

That got Melvin confidence back and he tried once again, only this time with more training in his magic.

Melvin has two Pokémon's known as an Exeggcute and it's evolved form; Exeggutor. He asked if Yuna was willing to battle with his Exeggutor, which she agreed.

The battle as between Yuna's Charmander and Melvin's Exeggutor. The battle lasted for a couple of minutes and Charmander came out on top with his new move of Fire Fang.

Charmander then evolved into his next stage; Charmeleon and he was still loyal to Yuna, so everything was fine at the end.

Our heroes has arrived in Mossgreen Village, it's a quiet cute place and so small it doesn't even have its own Pokémon Centre.

"Wow, what a small village." Mairin said.

"Chespin. (Its nice.)" Chespie smiled.

Brock frowned as he looked though his bag, "Erm, we have a problem." He announced.

Yuna looked at the Breeder, "Whats wrong?"

Brock pulled out a small bag with a large Red Cross on it, "I'm out of potions, antidotes and medicines." He said.

Yuna went to look thought her medicine bag, "I'm not out, but this won't last us for even a three days." She said.

Alain checked his and it was the same problem, like Yuna's.

"No medicines or potions or antidotes. Yikes, that's not good." Mairin said.

"Yeah." Takato nodded.

Brock smiled, "No worries, this village has a Pharmacy, so it's a good time to gather up our supplies." He assures the kids.

"We also might just rest here and get a bit to eat." Yuna said.

"I'm up for it." Mairin smiled.

"Let's go." Takato said.

The gang headed towards the village.

After getting food and a nice rest at the village inn, they went to the village Pharmacy.

"Excuse me, is anyone here?" Brock called out through the shop.

"Welcome." A female voice replied.

The gang saw a young woman with green hair that is pulled into two high Chinese styles buns.

"Hello, I'm Cassandra and I run this place with my Grandma. Can I help you?" Cassandra asked.

"Yes. We need some potions, antidotes and medicines for humans." Brock answered.

"Of course and Grandma please don't." Cassandra said to her grandma, knowing what she was going to asked.

The grandma, who was behind her started laughing at this.

"..." The gang didn't say anything about this.

After Brock, Yuna and Alain all brought some potions, antidotes and medicines, Cassandra asked if they are Pokémon trainers and they answered 'Yes' and she asked one of them for a Pokémon Battle.

Yuna accepted.

"Great, we can battle outback." Cassandra said.

The gang and Cassandra was outback of the Pharmacy shop.

"This Paras shall be your opponent." Cassandra announced her Pokémon.

"A Paras huh." Yuna said and pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the small like crab Pokémon with it.

[Paras, the Mushroom Pokémon. Rare mushrooms grow on its back. Red-and-yellow mushrooms known as tochukaso grow on this Pokémon's back.

Note: Tochukaso are parasitic in nature, drawing their nutrients from the host Paras's body in order to grow and exerting some command over the Pokémon's actions.]

Light smiled and walked towards the Pokémon, "Pika." She said.

"Paras!" Paras flinched and panic, "Parassss!" It quickly ran backward hiding behind it's trainer legs.

"Huh?" The gang said.

"Paras, you can't give up now." Cassandra said patting it's head.

"Erm, your Paras doesn't look like its wants to battle." Yuna said.

Light went back to her Trainer.

"Your right, you see I like for Paras to evolve into a Parasect very soon but it's to cowardly to battle." Cassandra explained.

"Too cowardly huh?" Takato said.

"Well then, that's a huge problem." Alain said.

"Your right with that. The best way for a Pokémon to evolve is by winning battles and the more battles they win the quicker they evolve." Brock explained.

"I have a question. Why do you need Paras to evolve so quickly?" Mairin asked Cassandra.

"Because its Parasect mushrooms." Cassandra replied.

"Parasect mushrooms?" The gang questioned.

Cassandra rubbed her Paras head, "You see after Para's evolve, I'll use its mushroom to help me make new medicines especially for Pokémon." She smiled, "And I'll use the new medicine to help Pokémon all over the world."

"Okay. But this might be a difficult but let's start. Korin?" Yuna looked at the smaller Pikachu.

"Chu." Korin nodded and stepped forwarded.

"Good luck Paras!" Cassandra encourages, "You can do it!"

"Look Paras is making the first move." Brock warned them.

Paras used Stun Spore attack and Korin jumped to avoid it.

"Korin use a extremely low power Thunder Shock attack." Yuna said, lowly.

"Chu..." Korin sweat dropped and scratched the side of her head, "Ppiikaaachhuuuuu." She sent a static of electricity towards the mushroom Pokémon.

The single static hit Paras and it fainted immediately.

"Oh no." Cassandra gasped.

"No way." Takato said, shocked. "And that was the lowest it could go."

"Unbelievable..." Mairin muttered.

"Chu Pikachu. (I'm so sorry.)" Korin said.

Yuna petted Korin on the head, "It's not your fault, you held back a lot."

"Pikapi. (That's right.)" Light assures her adopted daughter.

Korin nodded, "Chu..."

Cassandra sighs, "How will Paras ever gain any experience." She questioned herself.

"Yuna, try a Water-type Pokémon. Paras has an advantage of them." Alain suggested.

"Good idea. Paras is a Grass and Bug-type Pokémon." Brock agreed.

Yuna nodded, "Let's try. Squirtle, I need your help." She called out her tiny turtle Pokémon.

"Squirtle. (I'm here.)" He said.

"Squirtle we need to help that Paras over here. So we need a to go low power." Yuna said.

"Pikapi Pikachu Chu. (Be careful, it's not easy.)" Korin warned her friend.

"Squirtle." Squirtle nodded.

Cassandra smiled, "Hey, that Squirtle is a Water-type. Maybe you can win this. Come on, Paras try again." She encouraged her mushroom Pokémon again.

"Paras..." It nodded unsurely.

"Squirtle use Water Gun, but as a sprinkle attack." Yuna said.

"Squir..." Squirtle looked back at his trainer and nodded with a sweat, "Squirrrrrrr." He spurt a tiny bit amount on Paras.

"Paras..." Once the water hit it, once again Paras fainted.

Chespie gawked, "Chespin! (Unbelievable!)"

Takato and Mairin face faulted along with the Pokémon's, "Seriously!"

Brock and Alain couldn't help but sweat dropped that this.

"Argh, not again." Yuna face palmed herself again, 'No offence, but this is pathetic,' she thought, 'of all the weak Pokémon I have seen in the past, this Paras is the weakest. Plan C.'

"Squirtle. (Unbelievable.)" Squirtle gasped and stared at the fainted Pokémon, "Squirtle Squir. (And that was just a drop almost.)"

Zack barked, "(See what Korin mean by not easy?)"

The tiny turtle Pokémon nodded, with a large sweat dropped.

"No offence to the Pokémon but, what a weak Pokémon." Alain said, quietly.

Brock nodded, "We tried and Yuna's Pokémon held back, they were only using 10% of their strength." He said.

"Time out Cassandra, this is getting us nowhere even if my Pokémon uses the weakest power of attack they could, it won't work." Yuna explained, "First, we need to put your Paras into shape, before we continue battling."

"The young lady is right," Cassandra's Grandma said, appearing, "I've seen how much this young lady Pokémon had to hold back. Your Paras needs to build up confidence Cassandra."

"That right. We need to build up confidence and by doing that Paras need to we can train Paras in its attacks it's already know, then it'll gain some self-confidence and want to battle." Yuna theorised.

"It's worth a shot." Alain said.

"What attack does Paras know anyway?" Brock asked.

"Um... It knows Scratch, Slash, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Absorb and Fury Cutter." Cassandra listed off.

"Those are fine moves but is okay if we teach it Energy Ball because one of my Pokémon is actually learning it too." Yuna questioned.

Cassandra nodded, "Of course. Are you ready to do this Paras?" She asked her Pokémon.

"Paras! (I'm ready!)" It said with a determined expression.

Yuna smiled, "Great. Bulbasaur, come on out." She called out her seed Pokémon.

"Bulbasaur." He said.

"We're going to train, Bulbasaur I need your help to help this Paras here to attack and built up confidence and after that you can teach Paras how to use Energy Ball because your almost done with your one." Yuna instructed. "Cassandra you should help with Paras attacks."

Cassandra nodded, "Okay."

Bulbasaur nodded and walked towards Paras who flinched a bit but stood there, he jesters towards a tree and talked to it.

"The rest is up to Cassandra and Bulbasaur." Brock said.

And so the gang stood on the side walking the Pokémon train, expect for Yuna who went to a different area and trained her other Pokémon there with Alain.

"Charmeleon use Ember, Squirtle use Bubble Beam, Korin use Electro Ball and Light break them with Agility and Iron Tail!" Yuna commanded.

Charmeleon launched Ember attacks, Squirtle blew out Bubble Beam, Korin gatherer electricity into her tail and threw the Electro Ball, finally Light who was in the centre, she used speed and break each of the attacks with her Iron Tail.

The scattering attacks chased fireworks and sparkles in the air.

Alain watched amazed by that, "You know if this was a Pokémon Contest you'll get big scores." He joked.

Yuna turned around and smiled, "Thats true but I'm testing their attack powers." She said. "How was it?"

Light thought, "Pikachu Pika Pikachu Pi. (There all powerful but not at mine, Nuria, Tsubasa or Kamui's strength level yet.)" She explained, "Pika Pikachu Pikachu. (They are getting there, fast.)"

"Oh, that's great." Yuna smiled, "Now, Charmeleon, Alain is going to teach you Flame Burst and Squirtle you'll be learning Water Pulse from me and Korin, Light is going to help teach you Wild Charge."

The Pokémon nodded and went to their teachers of today.

Charmeleon teacher would be his 'adopted mother' and 'father' Nuria and Alain's Charizard.

[A/N: There are going to be Pokémon couples. I'll post it up at the end or before of the start of the Indigo League. I already have a few couples written down.]

Cassandra's Grandma watched in amazement and impressed with the Pokémon and trainer, "In all my years I have never seen such loyalty between Pokémon and trainer." She observed. "Even that Charmeleon is listening to her orders."

Mairin blinked, "What do you mean by that?" She asked, wondering.

"Ches?" Chespie said.

"You all may not know this, but the evolutionary lines of the Fire-type especially Charmander's has a habit of not listen to their trainers once they evolve into Charmeleon their second stage of evolution." Cassandra's Grandma explained, "They are known for their disobedience, due to the lack of respect towards their trainers but this young lady have gained her Charmeleon's respect."

"Really? Big brother didn't have any problem when his Charmander evolved into Charmeleon?" Mairin questioned.

"Yeah, same with nee-chan. This her seconded one." Takato added.

"Umm, your brother is a strong trainer and he have both the love and respect from the Pokémon like the young lady over there." Cassandra's Grandma theorised. She can tell has well because of his aura saying it all. "Also I'm surprise that this Charmeleon is actually listening to someone that's not his trainer."

Brock chuckled, "Ah, I might be able to answer that. Alain's Charizard is the adopted father of that Charmeleon and Yuna's Charizard is the adopted mother. They rescued this Charmeleon when it was a Charmander from his previous trainer that was abusing all his Pokémon." He explained, then sourly remember the past.

Cassandra's Grandma scowled, "Selfish arrogant youngsters these days I tell you." She shook her head, "Well never have respect from a Charmeleon or any other Pokémon in the world by abusing them."

Takato, Mairin and Brock nodded, agreeing with that.

Back with Paras, Bulbasaur and Cassandra, they were able to do Slash, Scratch and finally Fury Cutter on the logs, cutting them up.

Paras was also gaining confidence and skills from the practice attacks.

The last result was Energy Ball and the guide and instructions from the seed Pokémon, Paras was able to do it, destroying a small log.

"You did it!" Cassandra said, happily.

"Paras! (I did!)" Paras cheered.

"Bulbasaur. (Excellent work.)" Bulbasaur praised.

The gang arrived back with Cassandra's Grandma and they saw the result of all the training.

"Nice work you guys!" Mairin said.

"Great job on the Energy Ball." Takato said.

Yuna petted her Bulbasaur head, "Excellent work on helping Paras Bulbasaur, thank you." She smiled.

Bulbasaur smiled, "Bulba Bulbasaur. (Your welcome and it was no problem.)" He said.

Cassandra's Grandma nodded, "A nice work Cassandra."

Cassandra shook her head, "Its was all thanks to Yuna's Bulbasaur guidance that Paras was able to learn Energy Ball." She said.

"No, it was your encouragement for Paras as well Cassandra. You continued to encouraged your Pokémon and never giving up on it." Alain said.

Brock nodded, "Thats true. We watched and saw you never doubting Paras one bit." He said. "Paras was so scared and no confidence but you never give up."

Cassandra blushed a bit at the praises, she got.

"Paras Paras Paras. (Thank you Cassandra for never giving up on me.)" Paras smiled at its trainer.

Yuna smiled, "So you ready for a battle?" She asked Paras.

Paras nodded with a determined face, "Paras! (I am!)" It said.

Cassandra smiled, "We are."

Yuna nodded, "Bulbasaur shall be your opponent." She smirked, slightly, "Let's see the result."

Cassandra nodded.

Both trainers stood on each side of the field and the others stood on the side, ready to see the battle.

"This is it." Alain said.

"Yeah, to see all the training results." Brock said.

Takato and Mairin watched silently.

"Paras use Spun Spore!" Cassandra ordered.

Paras released the Spun Spore attack.

"Dodge it and use Razor Leaf." Yuna said.

Bulbasaur moves to the side, avoiding the spore attack and fired leaves at the mushroom Pokémon.

"Use Slash to cut them and Fury Cutter." Cassandra said.

Paras pincers slashes the Razor Leaf attack and then ran towards the seed Pokemon ready to attack again.

"Oh ho, not bad." Cassandra's Grandma complimented.

"Nice. Bulbasaur use Vine Whip." Yuna said.

"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur vine came out and he sent towards Paras who was coming towards him and Whip it back to its trainers side.

Cassandra gasped, "Paras! Are you okay?" She asked.

Paras shook off and nodded, determined to win.

"Great. Use Energy Ball!" Cassandra shouted out.

"Energy Ball as well." Yuna called out.

Both Pokémon charged up an greenish orb with power building inside of it and both of them fired it at each other causing both attacks to colloid and exploded.

"Yikes!" Takato yelped.

"Wow." Mairin gasped.

Everyone stayed quiet for a second before a glow was shown and it was from Paras.

Brock gasped, "Paras is evolving!" He said.

Everyone watched as Paras grew larger and changed its shape, as the light died down a newly evolved Parasect stood its place.

"Parasect!" It said.

"Paras evolved into Parasect!" Cassandra smiled happily.

"Congratulations." Yuna said and pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the newly evolved Pokémon.

[Parasect, the Mushroom Pokémon. The evolved form of Paras. It battles using poison spears that spread from the mushroom canopy on its back.]

Cassandra cheered and went to hugged her new evovled Paras, "Thank you very much Yuna and everyone! I can't thank you all enough and now I can make my medicine!" She expressed all her happiness out.

"Bulbasaur Bulba (Congratulations on evolving.)" Bulbasaur smiled.

"Parasect!" Parasect smiled.

Everyone else congratulated Cassandra's Parasect and her Grandma was pleased and proud.

"We should get going now." Alain said.

"I can tell you young lady and young man that you both will a great Pokémon trainer. Take care." Cassandra's Grandma said.

Alain and Yuna nodded.

"Thank you very much." Yuna smiled.

"Bye!" Mairin and Takato waved.

Their Pokémon called out saying 'goodbye' as well.

Cassandra and her Grandma waved goodbye as the gang departed to their next area.

And so helping out their new friend Paras gain some confidence and to evolved into a Parasect, our heroes are on the road once again as they headed off to Cinnabar Island where Yuna will earn her next Gym badge.
