After crossing the Grassland, our heroes find themselves in the Safari Zone or is it?

Mairin looked around, "Wow, is this the Safari Zone?" She asked.

Yuna shook her head, "No, this place isn't the Safari Zone." She pulled out her PokéNav Plus and pushed some buttons till she found what she was looking for, "Here." She show the rest of the gang.

Mairin blinked, "Let's see."

"Oh, this is a Pokémon Reserve area." Brock read, "Catching wild Pokémon is forbidden here."

Alain nodded, "That's not all, we need to find the Ranger Station. I've read that the Rangers here gets upset, whenever humans like us enter here." He explained.

"That makes sense. If someone wondered into your backyard without permission, it's annoying and upsetting." Takato nodded.

"It is." A female voice said from behind the gang.

The gang turned around seeing an Officer Jenny with a rifle in her hand and she was wearing a Chansey hat.

"I'm Ranger Jenny and I'm glad to know that you know this area is forbidden for catching Pokémon." Ranger Jenny smiled. "Follow me, I'll take you all to the Station."

They arrived at the Ranger Station.

There was a huge map on screen.

"This map helps me watch over the Pokémon Reserve, when Poachers or trainers enter the area, a red dot light will appear on here." Ranger Jenny explain.

Takato nodded, its handy.

Just then a boy around Takato and Mairin age entered the Station, holding a Growlithe. He has spiky medium blue hair and black eyes, he also some sort of birthmark on both his cheeks,

"I'm here Ranger Jenny." The boy said and notice the gang, "Your not all poachers, are you?

Ranger Jenny shook her head, "Don't worry Tomo, they're not." She said, "This is Yuna and her little brother Takato, Alain and his little sister Mairin and finally Brock. Everyone this is Tommy who I call Tomo for short."

"Nice to meet you." The gang greeted.

Tomo nodded, shyly back.

While Tomo began playing with Growlithe, he was curious of Zack and Chespie, never seen their kind before.

"Well, I've taken care of Tomo ever since he was a baby. You see, his parents were looking at the area seems like they were exploring in their helicopter, but..." Ranger Jenny expression became sad, "Something when wrong with the helicopter and it crashed into one of the tall trees, I immediately went to the area and managed to get Tomo and his parents out before the helicopter exploded." She sighs, "Tomo's parents were critically injured from the crash and was immediately taken to the hospital. Good news is that they are alive, but ever since that day to this day, they are in a coma."

The gang looked sad, hearing how young Tomo was close to losing his parents.

Suddenly a red radar dot light appeared on the map, blinking.

Ranger Jenny became alarmed, "Poachers are here. I must leave at once." She said, getting up from her seat.

"Wait." Takato called out.

"Can we come? We want to help you." Yuna said.

Ranger Jenny nodded, "Of course, hop in." She said.

Ranger Jenny, Tomo and the gang entered the jeep to see what all the commotion was all about.

The cause of the red dot to appear on the map was no other than a evil origination in the Kanto Region.

Team Rocket.

Team Rocket was in the Pokémon Reserve area and they are planning to capture all the Pokémon known as Kangaskhan.

There was group of Kangaskhan together, it was easy picking to them.

"If we capture all of those Kangaskhan, we'll get a big promotion from the Boss." James said, eyeing all the Kangaskhan.

"Hurry, we must act quick." Jessie said.

Meowth smirked, "Everything is all set."

When Ranger Jenny, Tomo and the gang arrived at the location, they were amazed; seeing some rare Pokémon.

"Incredible." Brock said, "Its a herd of Kangaskhan."

Yuna pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.

[Kangaskhan, the Parent Pokémon. The Kangaskhan is a rare Pokémon which raises its children in its pocket. They will attack viciously and without warning if they feel their young are threatened in any way.]

"You see, the Kangaskhan are the reason why Poachers keeps coming here." Ranger Jenny explained, she looked around seeing no sign of trouble, "Right now, everything seems to be alright."

BANG!! A loud noise was heard in the sky.

The Kangaskhan herd heard the loud noise and started to panic.

Light spotted something or someone, "Pika Pikapi. (Team Rocket.)" She pointed.

"Not those three again." Takato face palm.

"Ranger Jenny can't we do something?" Brock asked.

"I don't think that's a good idea." Alain spoke up, "The Kangaskhan are already in a panic state."

Ranger Jenny nodded, "That's right. If I go after Team Rocket in my jeep, the Kangaskhan may start charging." She explained.

BANG! Another one was heard.

The Kangaskhan got even more panicking and then they went charging.

"Uh oh." Yuna said.

"Hold on!" Ranger Jenny said, she started her jeep and went to full speed, avoiding the stampede in time.

"Ches Chespin!" Chespie exclaimed.

They looked and was shocked that all the Kangaskhan was caught in a net.

They were about to help the captured Kangaskhan when they heard a loud charging noise from the trees.

Tomo looked towards the trees, "Sounds like she's coming." He said.

"I agree." Ranger Jenny nodded.

"Who's she?" Takato and Mairin questioned.

The question was answered when they saw another Kangaskhan, but this Kangaskhan was a big bigger than the others.

The Kangaskhan was heading towards the others, were Team Rocket red jeep in front of them.

"Holy Arceus! That's some fighting aura." Yuna sensed.

"Will that Kangaskhan be alright?" Brock asked.

"She will. There is nothing to worry about. That Kangaskhan is a real fighter." Ranger Jenny replied.

When the Kangaskhan saw her kind capture in a net, her expression was furious.

Jessie smirked, "We'll just capture this one first." She tossed a Pokéball at the non-capture Kangaskhan.

The Kangaskhan saw a Pokéball heading her way, she pulled her fist back and punched it away, then her right fist glowed white and she hit Team Rocket jeep, sending all the Pokéballs away.

"That's a Dynamic Punch." Alain said.

Kangaskhan immediately cut the net with her teeth, freeing the other Kangaskhan.

"Uh oh..." Team Rocket paled as they are surrounded.

All the Kangaskhan charged in with a Mega Punch, sending Team Rocket flying away.

"Arf arrrff aarf. (There they go again.)" Zack sighs.

The bigger Kangaskhan relieved and went back to roaming the area.

Back at the Ranger Station, the gang was quiet amazed what they had witness.

"Man, that Kangaskhan sure packed a powerful punch." Brock complimented.

"Totally." Takato agreed.

"I'll say. To be honest even I never seen anything like that from a Kangaskhan." Alain said.

"Has that Kangaskhan always been like that?" Yuna asked, curious.

"Yes she has. Even as a baby she's a fighter." Ranger Jenny replied.

"Is her child a fighter as well?" Mairin asked, if the mother was like that, than maybe the baby as well.

"Well... I haven't seen her child fighter yet, but she is very independent for a baby." Ranger Jenny chuckled a bit, "She's never afraid to leave her mother's pouch or meeting new Pokémon."

"Sounds like a curious and adventurous child." Yuna said.

Ranger Jenny giggled, "That's right."

Just then they all heard a squeak coming from outside the Station, when they took a look outside; it was a baby Kangaskhan.

"Awww~~ How cute~" Mairin gushed.

Takato rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah." Girls and their cuteness things.

"What's a baby Kangaskhan doing here and away from her mother?" Yuna asked.

"That's the child of the Kangaskhan that fights, this little is the one I was talking about. She likes to wonder around the area." Ranger Jenny answered.

Yuna nodded, then she felt something tugging her boot and she looked down seeing the baby Kangaskhan, raising her arms up at her. On instinct, Yuna bent down and picked up the baby Kangaskhan who laughed being picked up.

"Dawwee~" Mairin cooed. "I'll say it again. She's so cute~"

Yuna nodded agreeing and hugging the baby Kangaskhan who giggled.

Ranger Jenny and Tomo were amazing and surprised by this; they never seen a baby Kangaskhan bond with a human before.

"Amazing, that's a first." Tomo stated.

"Indeed." Ranger Jenny agreed.

Just then a red dot light appeared on the radar map once again.

Alain raised an eyebrow, "Looks like Team Rocket is back."

Brock nodded, "True, those guys don't know how to give up." He said.

"Let's go." Ranger Jenny said.

The gang immediately got into the jeep again, Yuna took the baby Kangaskhan with her because her mother might be there as well.

When they got there, they found and witness Team Rocket but this time they build a giant robotic Kangaskhan to attack the Kangaskhan.

Alain eyes narrowed and saw a needle on the Kangaskhan body, "Those looks like tranquilizers, Team Rocket must've made them to put the Kangaskhan to sleep." He said, then looked at the Kangaskhan fallen asleep, "Strong dose for them as well."

"That's it!" Yuna growled, she gently pass the baby Kangaskhan to Alain and got out of the jeep with a angry face.

Takato sweat a bit, "Oh boy."

"There hell to play." Mairin said with a awkward laugh.

"This is not a nice Yuna." Brock stated, bluntly.

That's right. This was an angry Yuna, who you should never mess with.

"Thalassa, I need your help." Yuna called out her atrocious Pokémon.

"Grrrr!" Yuna's aqua Gyarados roared as she appear on the field, sensing her trainers anger.

Team Rocket froze and turned to look at the sound and they paled seeing a Gyarados.

"Thalassa Aqua Tail!" Yuna ordered.

Thalassa roared as her tail released a tornado of water towards the robotic Kangaskhan, it hit causing it to stumble.

"AHHHH!" Team Rocket screamed out as the robotic Kangaskhan fell to the side.

"Hyper Beam!" Yuna final order.

Thalassa roared once more, as she began to gather energy inside her mouth, an orangish colour started to appear.

"Uh oh..." Team Rocket paled and then tried to get the robotic Kangaskhan to move, but it wasn't working.

"Come on James!" Meowth shouted, panicking.

"GET THIS THING MOVING!" Jessie screeched, struggling.

James was panicking, "I'm trying my best!" He tried all buttons and controls but nothing still.

The atrocious Pokémon released the energy of the Hyper Beam and it struck Team Rocket machine, causing it to explode.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF ONCE AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted, blasting off.

Yuna sighs, "Great job." She praised her Pokémon.

Thalassa eyed smile.

Alain had his Metang used Psychic to removed all the sleeping darts from the Kangaskhan.

The Kangaskhan was all safe once again and awake.

Ranger Jenny was grateful to them, "Thank you Yuna and now all these Kangaskhan are safe." She said.

Yuna shook her head, "Its fine." She said.

The bigger Kangaskhan which likes to fight, began to roar.

Yuna jolt a bit, Thalassa roared softly as her body was curled around Yuna.

Kangaskhan roared once more and then pointed to Yuna and Thalassa.

"I see." Alain smiled.

"See what?" Mairin asked.

"That Kangaskhan what's to have a battle with Yuna's Thalassa." Brock answered.

"That's right." Alain said.

Yuna blinked, "Oh." She turned towards the Kangaskhan, "Is that right?"

Kangaskhan nodded and than roared.

Thalassa roared back in response, accepting the battle.

"The battle is on." Takato said.

As everyone including the Kangaskhan herd, was on the side long, waiting to see which Pokémon will win this battle.

Yuna gave Thalassa permission of battling on her own will against the Kangaskhan she's up against and she stood on the side with the baby Kangaskhan in her arms again.

The battle started when Zack barked loudly, announcing the battle to begin.

Kangaskhan roared as she charged at Thalassa with her fist glowing.

Thalassa lend backwards, dodging the Dynamic Punch and then she charged forwards with her tail glowing.

The Kangaskhan saw the Iron Tail aiming at her and charged towards it with her Focus Punch attack.

Both attack hit and it caused a strong shockwave and they both glared and growled at each other.

Takato held his hat, "Woah!" He gasped.

"What a shockwave." Brock said, awed.

Yuna nodded, "Kangaskhan isn't going down without a fight." She said.

"True. That Kangaskhan is quiet a fighter, she'll be a great teacher in the future." Alain complimented.

Yuna blinked and thought, 'That's not a bad idea." Some of her Pokémon wouldn't mind at all and Kamui would like to have another sparring partner.

The baby Kangaskhan squealed loudly and she cheered for her mother, she hope to be strong like her.

Ranger Jenny and Tomo was amazed by the battle that continued.

Both Pokémon roared and growled at each and Kangaskhan was panting heavily, seems she's starting to feel quiet exhausted.

Kangaskhan had used quiet a lot of Fighting-type moves; Dynamic Punch, Focus Punch, Fire Punch and Focus Blast.

Thalassa countered and attacked with; Dragon Rage, Dragon Pulse, Iron Tail and Ice Fang.

Thalassa growled as she launched a Hydro Pump attack, hitting the parent Pokémon directly and send her sliding back.

Kangaskhan tried to fight it but she was feeling exhausted badly and soon she collapsed.

The battle was over and the winner was Thalassa.

The baby Kangaskhan jumped out of Yuna's arm and ran towards her mother and looked at her, seeing if she is okay.

Kangaskhan opened her eyes and smiled at her child tiredly, telling her she's alright and she looked towards Thalassa and thanked her for the great battle.

Thalassa roared softly, telling her she had a great battle as well.

"That absolutely amazing!" Takato exclaimed, he pumped his fist in the arm.

Zack barked agreeing as well.

"Pikapi Pikachu Pika. (You don't see a great battle like this everyday.)" Light gave a thumbs up.

Mairin nodded quickly, "Awesome battle." She said.

Yuna smiled, "Great job to the both of you." She said.

Kangaskhan and Thalassa smiled.

After returning Thalassa back to her Pokéball, Yuna smiled at the Kangaskhan, "Kangaskhan, I have to say that you pack quiet a powerful punches." She gave the parent Pokémon a thumbs up.

"I agree." Alain said.

"Kangaskhan." Kangaskhan smiled and nodded happily.

Ranger Jenny walked towards Yuna, "Yuna I have a request to ask you."

"A request?" Yuna questioned. "Sure."

Ranger Jenny looked at the fighting Kangaskhan for a second before turned back to the indigo-black hair girl, "I would like you to take this Kangaskhan with you."

"E-eh? B-but I can do that." Yuna said quickly and quickly corrected herself, "I mean it's illegal to catch Pokémon here."

"Its true. But this Kangaskhan should be with a trainer not in the wild, you the truth is that ever since this Kangaskhan was a baby she likes to pick fights with other Pokémon in the wild and as an adult her love of fighting has cause problems here." Ranger Jenny explained.

Brock nodded understanding that is a problem.

Ranger Jenny looked at Yuna, "So Yuna, please look after her and give her as many battles as she would want." She said.

Yuna looked at Kangaskhan who smiled, she smiled back, "Okay. I promise." She agreed.

Kangaskhan gave a happily growl and her child squealed happily, she place her into her pouch.

The other wild Kangaskhan and the baby all roared out happily, happy to see their friend going out to battle different Pokémon in the world.

Kangaskhan roared back happily, but sad at the same time, she's leaving her home area.

"Pikapi Pikachu Pika. (Welcome to the family.)" Light said.

Yuna nodded and caught them in a Pokéball.

"Aw, how lucky." Mairin said.

"Pretty much. Kangaskhan are extremely rare Pokémon." Alain said.

"Let's go back." Tomo smiled.

When they arrived back, the phone in the Station began to ring.

RING RING! RING RING! RING RIN- CLACK!

Ranger Jenny picked up the phone, "Hello, Ranger Jenny speaking." She answered.

On the other line.... CHATTER CHATTER ...

The gang and Tomo blinked with a question mark above their heads.

"Really! I see... Yes, that's great news." Ranger Jenny smiled, happily, "Yes of course, I'll tell him right now." She put the phone away, "Tomo!"

Tomo blinked, "Yes?"

"I got great news, your parents are awake." Ranger Jenny said.

The gang smiled, happy that his parents are finally awake.

Tomo began to have tears and stuttered out words, "T-there a-a-awak-e." He said.

"Yes, there just being looked over by the Doctor and Nurses, checking if there is any problems." Ranger Jenny said.

Tomo began to let out tears and hugged Growlithe.

Mairin beamed at him, "Tomo your not alone anymore!"

"Well he never was." Alain said.

"True. Ranger Jenny and Growlithe been with you." Takato agreed.

"Let's get you packed up to meet your parents." Yuna suggested.

Tomo nodded and rubbed his eyes, "Yeah."

Brock helped Tomo packed up his things up to meet his parents, after twenty minutes it's was time for the gang to go and continue on their journey.

Tomo wanted them to meet his parents but they politely declined and told him they'll meet again someday, he was sad but agreed and he gladly accepted Takato's PokéGear number, to call. He also wished Yuna good luck on her battles and upcoming events.

Yuna smiled, "Thanks."

Hearing about a family who woke up after years, they gang leaves their new friend knowing that Tomo will be fine now. The gang continues on, eager for more new adventures and more new Pokémon.
