Skipped: Throwing in the Noctowl!
Note: Okay, I was checking my list of Pokémon notes and I realise that I have two Pokémon who the same name given. Koli is the name given the Midnight Form Butterfree, so I changed it to 'Kurai', meaning 'Dark' in Japanese. Houndour is given the name Koli.

☁️ 🌈 — [Break Scene] — 🌈 ☁️

Having return to Olivine City for Yuna's sixth badge, we now join our heroes, as the big day arrives.

The gang were outside the Pokémon Centre and were about to head the the Gym.

"Good morning guys!" A familiar young girl voice called out.

The gang looked to the source of the voice and saw Jasmine's apprentice, running towards them.

"Janina." Brock said.

"Heya Janina." Mairin greeted.

"What's up?" Takato asked.

Janina smiled, "I came to pick you guys up." She replied.

"Oh, thank you." Yuna said.

The gang and Janina all headed to the Gym.

☁️ 🌈 — [Break Scene] — 🌈 ☁️

When the gang and Janina arrived at the Gym and went inside, the Olivine Gym Leader was waiting inside for them.

"Welcome Yuna." Jasmine greeted.

"Hello Jasmine." Yuna said.

"Are you ready for our Gym Battle?"

"You bet."

"Pikapi!" Light exclaimed out.

Jasmine smiled, "Let's get started. Janina." She looked at her apprentice.

Janina nodded, she ran to the centre of the field on the sideline, she takes out a green and red flag in her hands, "I'm ready!" She said.

Yuna takes her place on the opposite side of the field with Alain, Mairin, Takato, Brock and the Pokémon's behind her.

"Each trainer will be allowed two Pokémon, understood?" Janina explained the Olivine Gym rule, "An official Gym match between the Olivine Gym Leader, Jasmine and the Challenger, Yuna from Pallet Town for one Mineral Badge. Will now commence!" She raised both flags in the air.

Jasmine takes out a Pokéball, "Right. Magnemite!" She sent out the magnet Pokémon.

"Magn Magnemite!" It appeared, ready to battle.

"A Magnemite." Brock said. "Jasmine's first Pokémon."

"I choose you, Koli!" Yuna sent out the dark Pokémon.

"Dour!" Koli appeared, growling at the opponent Pokémon.

"Good choice. Koli is part Fire-Type, which is super effective against Steel-Type." Brock commented.

"Don't forget that Magnemite is part Electric-Type also." Alain added.

• • • • •

"Koli, Flamethrower." Yuna started the match off.

"Rarrrr!" Kurai fires a stream of flame from his mouth towards the magnet Pokémon.

"Magnemite, dodge!" Jasmine ordered.

"Magnemite!" The magnet Pokémon moves to the side to avoid the flames.

"Now Shockwave!" Jasmine commanded.

"Magnemite Magnemiteeee!" The magnet Pokémon fires blue electricity towards the dark Pokémon.

"Dourr!" Koli jumps to the side to dodge the Shockwave.

"Your Houndour is fast Yuna." Jasmine compliments.

"Thanks. Koli, Ember." Yuna said.

"Grr Dourr!" Kuraiopened his mouth and fires of bullet like flames towards the magnet Pokémon.

"Dodge them all Magnemite!" Magnemite uses its speed to dodge each of the Ember attack.

Takato gawked, "Wow. That's fast." He commented.

"That one fast Magnemite." Brock added, impressed.

"Magnemite, Electroweb!" Jasmine ordered.

"Sunny Day and Fire Spin!" Yuna countered.

The magnet Pokémon fires a electricity web towards the dark Pokémon, who fires a bright orb into the air and the field became bright. Before the Electroweb traps Koli, he spins uses Fire Spin around himself and the Fire Spin is stronger thanks to the Sunny Day.

The Electroweb was destroyed by the Fire Spin and the Fire Spin attack continues, hitting Magnemite.

"Magnemiteeeee!" The magnet Pokémon cries out in pain.

Jasmine was shocked, "Magnemite!"

"Quick Flamethrower, Koli!" Yuna said.

The dark Pokémon fires a full blast of flames towards the falling magnet Pokémon, hitting it directly.

"Magnemiteeeee!" The magnet Pokémon was sent flying backward to its trainer side, crashing into the wall behind the Gym Leader.

The Olivine Gym Leader gasped, as her Pokémon was knocked out.

"This match is over." Janina announced, she raised the green flag, "Yuna and Houndour win!"

"Alright! Koli, round one belongs to us!" Yuna cheered.

"Houndour!" Koli barked twice, happily.

"Alright!" Takato and Mairin cheered.

"Chespin!" Chespie cheered.

"Pikapi!" Light jumped up and down.

"Arf!" Zack barked twice, his tail wagging.

Jasmine takes out the magnet Pokémon Pokéball, "Great work. You deserve a long rest." She returned back her Pokémon, "Your an impressive trainer Yuna."

"Thank you." Yuna lets out a small smile.

"But it's time to move on." Jasmine said with a serious expression, "Steelix, go!"

"Steel Steelix!" The iron snake Pokémon appeared.

"Of course. A Steelix." Brock said.

"You can do it Koli!" Takato shouted out, cheering.

"Pikapi!" Light shouted out.

"Let round two, begin!" Janina declared.

"Koli, Flamethrower." Yuna started off, once again.

"Use Sandstorm Steelix!" Jasmine countered.

"Hound Dourrr!" The dark Pokémon fires a blast of flames towards Steelix.

"Steelixxx!" The iron snake Pokémon spun around and created a cyclone made out of sand.

The Flamethrower hits the cyclone sand but nothing happened, the cyclone sand protected Steelix.

"Wow, would you look at that." Brock commented, impressed.

"Using Sandstorm as a defensive move is interesting." Alain said.

Yuna was impressed herself.

"Steelix use Dig!" Jasmine commanded.

Steelix drove into the ground.

Koli growled, as he looks around the field.

"Stay calm Kurai." Yuna told her dark Pokémon.

"Steelixxx!" Steelix bursted out of the ground and charges towards the dark Pokémon.

"Koli, dodge with Double Team and cover the field!" Yuna ordered.

"Dourrr!" Koli used Double Team, avoiding the Tackle attack from Steelix and he opened his mouth, dark black smoke came from his mouth, covering the field.

Jasmine blinked, shocked.

"Fire Blast!" Yuna shouted out.

"Dourrrrr!" The dark Pokémon fires a fire kanji-like symbol from his mouth towards the iron snake Pokémon.

"Steelixxxx!" The iron snake Pokémon roared out in pain as it the was hit by the Fire Blast.

"Don't let up! Fire Fang!" Koli charges towards the iron snake Pokémon was is trying to recover, with its fang, blazing in flame, it bite Steelix hard on its body.

"Steelixxxx!" The iron snake Pokémon roared out in pain, more.

"Steelix! Hang in there and use Sandstorm to get rid of this smoke!" Jasmine ordered.

"Steelix Steel!" Steelix shook its body and stood tall and spun around, creating a Sandstorm cyclone once again.

The Smokescreen started disappearing and the field was cleared off smoke.

"Dour!" Koli growled.

"Now Rock Throw!" Jasmine continues.

"Dodge them all." Yuna countered.

Steelix summoned rocks around itself and threw them towards the dark Pokémon, who dodges them one by one.

"Rock Tomb Steelix!" Steelix roared out and slammed its tail, tombs of rocks erupted from the ground, surrounding the dark Pokémon.

Yuna eyes narrowed, "Destroy them all with Dark Pulse!" She shouted out.

Koli opened his mouth and a light purple orb surrounded in black and purple circle appeared inside it and he fires it towards all the Rock Tomb, destroying them.

"Steelix use Bind!" Steelix charged towards the dark Pokémon, to wrap it.

"Substitute!" Before Steelix could trap Kurai in its Bind attack, he replaces himself with a fake, which disappeared after being hit.

Both Steelix and Koli stared at each other, growling.

Jasmine and Yuna also stayed focus on the battle.

"Okay, Koli lets go." Yuna looked at her dark Pokémon, they have worn out the iron snake Pokémon.

"Steelix get ready." Jasmine told her iron snake Pokémon.

"Steelix." Steelix nodded, as it was panting with exhaustion but still prepared to fight.

"Hound DOURRR!" Koli howled out, loudly and he froze and began to glow.

"Arff..." Zack awed.

"No way." Takato awed.

"Koli is evolving." Mairin said.

As the light died down, revealing a newly evolved Pokémon, "Houndoom!" The newly evolved Kurai howled.

"Kurai evolved into Houndoom." Brock said.

"His big!" Mairin gawked.

"Must from all the time he held back from evolving." Alain observed. "His at least a size of an Arcanine."

"Really?" Takato looked at Zack.

Zack blinked, "Arf?"

"You might get his big when you evolved because of the Everstone you've been wearing for the past years." Alain told them as he took down notes.

"Arf! Arf!" Zack barked, loudly, he couldn't wait.

"Use Flamethrower Koli." Yuna said.

"Steelix use Sandstorm!" Jasmine commanded.

The iron snake Pokémon spun once again, creating a sandstorm cyclone and its stopped the Flamethrower.

Koli continues to fire Flamethrower, even if the sandstorm cyclone was getting closer and closer.

"Gahhh!" Takato exclaimed, panicking.

"Move!!" Mairin shouted out. "Change attack! Or something!"

Brock was trying to calm them down.

Alain rubbed his forehead, "Calm down, its part of the plan." He told them.

Takato and Mairin stops their runts and looked at Alain, "Huh?"

"Now Koli, lets switch it. Overheat!" Yuna shouted out.

Koli stops his Flamethrower attack and his body began to glow red, gathering power and he opened his mouth, releasing an Overheat attack at the sandstorm.

"What's going on?" Mairin questioned.

"Ches?" Chespie blinked.

The sandstorm cyclone began to glow red.

"Keep on Koli!" Yuna shouted out. "Turn up the heat!"

"Doooommm!" Koli fires more power into the Overheat.

"Oh! It's heating up!" Brock snapped his fingers together.

"Huh?" The kids blinked, really lost now.

"By continuing to attack the Sandstorm with Overheat, Yuna heated up the Sandstorm really fast and it created a fire cyclone buts that's not all, Steelix is trapped within it." Alain explained.

"Oh! And Steelix is part Steel-type! Which is great!"

The Sandstorm cyclone became a fire cyclone.

"Steeellixxxx!" The iron snake roared out in pain, it was trapped and the fire cyclone hits it.

"No! Steelix!" Jasmine shouted out, worriedly.

As the fire cyclone died out, revealing Steelix, who was wiggling, with swirling eyed and it collapses onto the ground.

"Steelix is unable to continue the battle." Janina announces and she raised the green flag, towards Yuna side, "The victory goes to, Houndoom and Yuna."

"Alright!" Yuna hugged her dark Pokémon.

"Houndoom!" Koli barked happily, wagging his tail and licking his trainer cheek.

Yuna laughs, "Ahaha! That tickles!" She said.

Jasmine sighs and take out a Pokéball, "Steelix, you've fought hard." She recalled back her unconscious iron snake Pokémon.

Takato, Mairin, Brock and Alain all congratulated Yuna and Koli.

"Way to you two. You were both great." Brock complimented.

"Thanks Brock." Yuna smiled.

Jasmine and Janina both walked over to the gang.

"That was a great battle Yuna. Turning that Sandstorm defense back on me into a whirlwind fire attack a brilliant idea."

"Thanks Jasmine." Yuna said, as she rubbed Kurai head, "Even if were at a slight disadvantage, for a second we manage to pull through."

Koli closed his eyes, enjoying the rub.

"Here. Here is the Mineral Badge." Jasmine held out a steel colour octagon shaped.

Yuna smiled, she gave a bowed before taking the badge, "Alright, we got the Mineral Badge!" She said, happily.

"Pi Pikachu! (Badge number 6!)" Light cheered.

Koli howled with Zack.

After the Gym Battle, the gang, Jasmine and Janina were all standing outside the Gym.

"So were are guys headed to next?" Jasmine asked.

"Mahogany Town." Alain replied.

"Then I suggest cutting through Ecruteak City, then you'll save yourself a lot of time." Janina suggested.

"Really, thanks Janina." Yuna smiled.

"Yeah." Takato said. "Thanks for the tip."

Brock looked at the sun and it was setting, "Well, we should get going." He told them.

"Take care." Jasmine told the gang.

"And come back, so we can battle too, okay?" Janina said, looking at Mairin and Takato, "I wanna test my skill against you two."

Mairin and Takato laughs and nodded, "Sure, we'll be glad too." They agreed.

"Chespin." Chespie smiled.

"Arf!" Zack barked, happily.

The gang walked off, they waved back to the Gym Leader and her apprentice. "Goodbye!" They said.

Jasmine and Janina waved back, "See ya!"

"Pika Pikaaa!" Light shouted out.

Continuing working on entering the Grand Festival and Johto League, Yuna takes one step further by winning her sixth badge. What sort of opponent will Yuna have to face next? The journey continues.
