Today our heroes were at Transit Town after they adventure in Ogi Isle, but they were not taking a ferry back to Olivine City yet.

Why... Because today is a special day, it is Takato and Mairin 10th Birthday.

They are taking a day off to celebrate Takato's and Mairin's birthday.

Takato was extremely happy to be ten years old at last, it meant that he can truely be a Pokémon Trainer and Zachary is his offical starter Pokémon.

Mairin was extremely happy as well, being ten years old she can be a Pokémon Trainer and Chespie is her official starter Pokémon.

Right now Takato and Mairin were playing outside with Light, Zack, Chespie, Betzalel, Eclipse and Miyuki.

While Yuna, Alain and Brock were all setting up a birthday area in the Pokémon Centre, with foods and drinks all place on the table.

"Thanks again for letting us celebrate Takato's and Mairin's birthday here Nurse Joy." Yuna thanked again.

Nurse Joy smiled, "It's no problem at all. Lots of birthday celebrations have been held here in the past." She told them.

"Oh and Nurse Joy are they all ready as well?" Yuna asked.

Nurse Joy nodded, "Yes, they are all ready for Takato and Mairin." She replied.

By lunch time, the gang and the Pokémon's were now enjoying all the food on the table; sandwiches, chickens, fried rice, cupcakes, fruits, soda's and a large birthday cake in the centre with presents around it.

[Imagine that it's has Takato and Mairin names on it and it's bigger.]

"Happy Birthday!" Yuna, Alain and Brock said, to Takato and Mairin.

Takato and Mairin laughs and looked at each other, grinning, "Happy Birthday!" They exclaimed and they both blew out the candles on the cake.

Everyone and all the Pokémon all clapped and pulled the confetti poppers, causing the confetti to fall all around the birthday kids.

Delia, Lance, Clair, Professor Oak, Professor Sycamore, Volkner, Flint and Misty all called Alain and Yuna's Holo Caster wishing Takato and Mairin a Happy Birthday and they already sent the gifts before hand.

After half way eating the foods, it was now time for Takato and Mairin to open up their birthday presents.

"My present is last." Yuna told the two kids, as she held out her PokéNav Plus, she was taking pictures of the party.

"Same here." Alain said.

Mairin and Takato nodded, the don't see their older siblings one on the table and Volkner present is payed with Alain's.

From Brock, Takato got; a Darkrai Pin and a Dark-Type Symbol Pin along with a Umbreon Plush. Mairin got; Chespin Plush Round Pouch and Chespin Plush Cushion.

From Delia, Takato got; a Umbreon transforming Cushion Soft Plush. Mairin got; a Chespin Plush.

From Lance and Clair, Takato got; a book on 'All About Dark-Type Information'. Mairin got; a book on 'All About Grass-Type Information'.

From Professor Oak and Professor Sycamore which got Takato and Mairin really excited because... It's their very own Pokédex, expect not like their older sister and brother ones, it's the Johto Region Pokédex. Both custom colour, Takato got a black colour one and Mairin got a green colour one.

From Misty, their were two Dive Ball inside the present box.

"Oh!" Both birthday kids eyes lit up, "Its a Pokéball."

"It's a Dive Ball." Alain said.

"If Misty sent us a Pokémon then..." Takato and Mairin looked at Flint's present since the same size box, they went to open it and it was a Fast Ball for Takato and a Friend Ball for Mairin, "Another Pokémon!"

"Arf?" Zack sniffed the two Pokéballs in his partner hands and he could smell one with sea-ocean like scent and the other is ice cold scent.

"Ches?" Chespie did the same with Mairin's Pokéballs, once smelt like sea-ocean and the other one is forest snow-like scent.

"Wonder what Pokémon is inside them?" Brock wondered.

"Who knows but from the Pokéball that Misty caught with is a Water-Type for sure." Yuna said.

"Come on out." The two birthday kids sent out the Pokémon from within the Dive Balls, Fast Ball and Friend Ball.

"Shellos?" The two pink and white, blue and green slug-like Pokémon blinked.

"Sneasel." The sharp claw Pokémon said.

"Snover~" The frost tree Pokémon smiled, waving at them.

"Shellos, the East and West Sea." Alain said, looking at the pink and white, blue and green sea slug Pokémon, "And Snover." He looked at the happy Pokémon.

"Wahh~" Mairin smiled, widely and waved back towards the frost tree Pokémon.

"Chespin." Chespie waved.

"Snover~~" Snover eyed smiled.

"Arf?" Zack came up to Sneasel and looked at the sharp claw Pokémon.

"Sneasel." Sneasel looked at the bite Pokémon and stared at him, it nodded.

"Arf!" Zack barked, happily.

"Hello Shellos." Takato kneed down looking at his blue and green sea slug Pokémon.

Shellos looked up, "Shellos!" It smiled.

"Shellos." The pink and white sea slug Pokémon was being held by Mairin who is thinking of a nickname for her new Pokémon.

"They are both Water-Type now but when they evolve they become Water and Ground-Type." Yuna said, taking out her Pokédex and scanned the new Pokémon.

[Shellos, the Sea Slug Pokémon. A mysterious purple fluid oozes out of its soft body when Shellos is strongly squeezed. Two kinds of Shellos, pink and blue, have been confirmed.

Note: Shellos have two different appearances; West Sea (pink and white) and East Sea (blue and green), found on the respective sides of Sinnoh's mountain range.]

[Snover, the Frost Tree Pokémon. Snover lives mainly on snowy mountains with little human contact, but they are known to approach people out of curiosity.

Type: Grass and Ice-Type.]

"Alright, that's everyone expect for Yu. Here." Alain banded the two kids small boxes. "This is from Volkner and I."

Takato and Mairin took the small boxes and opened them up, revealing a small watch-like device. "Huh? What's this?" They both asked.

"It's a Xtransceiver. It's popular in the Unova Region." Alain said.

"It's similar really similar to a Pokégear but it's a video call function, four way to be exact." Yuna explained, "Our numbers are all added in."

Meaning; Yuna, Alain, Delia, Professor Oak, Professor Sycamore, Volkner, Flint, Brock, Lance, Clair and Misty. Or Mairin, she has Mahri Ziggy, Rudy's little sister who she keeps contact with. For Takato, he has Tommy or Tomo from the Pokémon Reserve.

"Oh." Takato and Mairin place their Xtransceiver onto their wrist. "Cool!"

"There are some apps that Volkner and I bought." Alain added.

"What are they?" Mairin asked, looking at the home screen.

Takato was fiddling with the Xtransceiver, when he turned it on, the front screen was dark cloudy cover with the time and date.

"Map, Radio and a Tracking System; just in case we are separated, it's located for us to find you or you'll find us from our Holo Caster." Yuna explained. "Calculator, Memo Pad, Dowsing Machine, Roulette, Stop Watch, Kitchen Timer, Alarm Clock and Coin Toss."

From what Alain and Volkner researched about the Apps for there're more expensive because most of them you must do Challengers to obtain them.

[A/N: I gave the Xtransceiver to be able to have a home screen, so they can change it whenever they want, its like the one in the image. As you notice that the apps are the same as Pokétch App and I'm not sure if I want them to change because Xtransceiver are an item in the Unova Region.]

"Thank you, both!" Takato and Mairin both smiled, including to Volkner as well and they attached it to their right wrist, "Wow..."

"Your welcome." Alain said.

"Right, now its Yuna special present." Brock said.

"...Special present?" Both kids questioned.

Nurse Joy walked towards them with a tray in her hands and on the tray are six Pokéballs.

"These are." Yuna smiled as Nurse Joy stopped in front of the two birthday kids.

"What are these Pokéballs nee-chan?" Takato asked.

Mairin blinked, she was curious.

"Well, these six Pokéballs contains the three Starter Pokémon of Kanto and Johto Region." Yuna answered, "You two get to choose one of Kanto Starter Pokémon and Johto Starter Pokémon."

Takato and Mairin were both flabbergasted, "You mean we get our own Starter Region Pokémon? Seriously?" They asked, looking at the indigo-black haired teen.

"Yes, that's correct." Yuna smiled.

"Wohoo!" Takato and Mairin cheered, with hands in the air. "Totallyyyy awesome! Thank you nee-chan!/ Yuna!"

"So Takato, Mairin, who are you two going to choose?" Nurse Joy asked, holding the tray towards them.

Mairin happily smiled, "Thats easy. Bulbasaur and Chikorita!" She replied.

"Charmander and Totodile!" Takato grinned, replying.

Nurse Joy smiled, "Excellent choices." She then took two Pokéballs of the tray and handed them to Mairin and she repeated the same, handing two Pokéballs to Takato.

"Thank you Nurse Joy!" Mairin and Takato smiled, taking their newly Pokémon's Pokéball from the Pokémon Centre Nurse.

"Your welcome." Nurse Joy smiled, she walked back towards the front desk.

"Pika!" Light smiled, as she took a bite out of the cupcake.

"Let's continue the party." Brock called out.

"Yeah!"

Mairin released her new Bulbasaur and Chikorita from their Pokéball and greeted them with all her other Pokémon's.

Takato also released his new Charmander and Totodile from their Pokéball and greeted them with all his other Pokémon.

Everyone all continued to enjoyed their food, especially Takato, Mairin and the Pokémon's, all pigged out on the food, causing some to sweat drop and have a amused expression as the food was disappearing one by one and the plates are piling up one by one.

Yuna took plenty of photos of the party and she'll send them to get printed and sent to the house.

Overall it's was the best birthday that Takato and Mairin ever had.
