The Whirl Cup Competition, six continuous days of Water Pokémon battling out for the premier title of Water Pokémon Alpha Omega. After winning the opening battle, Yuna and Misty will face each other in the second round. Who will emerges victorious and advance to the third round?

"The second battle of today Whirl Cup is Yuna against Misty, what is certain to be an exciting match."

"You better watch out Yuna because I got even stronger now." Misty said.

"You better watch out Misty because I ain't going to lose." Yuna said.

"So, does anyone know what Pokémon Misty and nee-chan is going to be using?" Takato asked.

"Nope." Mairin shook her head.

"Oh well."

"Though, I can't wait for those two to go head to head because I never got to watch the gym battle between them before." Brock commented.

"That's right. Brock was gathering and stocking up supplies when we entered Cerulean City. So he never got a chance to see." Alain said.

"Pikachu." Light said.

"Pika." Rhys said.

"Raichu."

"Arf!"

"Chespin."

"Togephrii."

"Squirtle!" Yuffie cheered, waving in her new transformation form.

"Here are the rules of the match. Each trainer is allowed to use two Pokémon, the first trainer to knock out both opposing Pokémon is the winner." The referee explained the rules.

"Well, I know who I'm starting with. Let's the games begin!" Misty sent the frog Pokémon.

"Politoed!" The toad Pokémon clapped it's hands together.

"Lets go, Leta!" Yuna sent out her Shiny Corsola.

"Corsola!" Leta appeared on the platform with a sparkle.

Everyone awed in surprise as a Shiny Water Pokémon is on the field.

"Yuna will be battling with her Shiny Corsola, while Misty puts Politoed to the test."

"Ready..." The referee raised both flags in the air, "And, begin!"

"Politoed use Bubble attack." Misty started off.

"Politoedddd!" The frog Pokémon fires Bubble attack towards the shiny coral Pokémon.

"Blizzard Leta." Yuna countered.

"Corsolaaaaaa!" Leta opens her mouth and blew cold snowy wind towards the incoming Bubble attack, freezing them and they fell into the water.

"Corsola has frozen the Bubble attack."

"That's was a brilliant defense strategy, but were not beaten yet! Politoed use Bounce!" Politoed bounces into the air and struck one leg out, ready to kick.

"And Misty fights back."

"Leta, freeze the field." Leta jumps backwards, dodging the Bounce attack and froze the entire water with an Ice Beam.

"Unbelievable! Yuna has her Shiny Corsola freeze the entire water!"

"Oh my." Maya said, gasping at the now frozen field.

"It's cold now..." Flint shivered.

"Raichu."

"Pika."

Both Raichu and Rhys gave Flint a blunt expression.

"Hey, don't look at me like that." Flint said, feeling insulted with that look. "I maybe a Fire-type Trainer, this and that has nothing to do with it."

Both father and son looked at each other and sighs.

"Oi." Flint said.

"Go nee-chan! Go Misty! Do you best!" Takato cheered.

"Give it your all!" Brock shouted, cheering.

"Now Icicle Spear!" Yuna said.

"Corsolllaaaaa!" Leta fires Icicle Spear towards the toad Pokémon.

"Politoed use Protect!" Misty defend.

"Politoed!" The frog Pokémon brought up a green barrier around itself, before the Icicle Spear strikes it.

"And Politoed protects itself from the Icicle Spear, talk about a close shot."

"Leta once that Protect is down, Liquidation." Yuna told her Pokémon.

"La!" The shiny coral Pokémon nodded.

Misty was thinking hard, she is worried, she doesn't know what is going to happen it, "Politoed use Water Pulse."

"Corsola Corsola!" Leta disappears for a split second, into liquid water and before anyone asked, she tackles the frog Pokémon hard, sending it flying into the wall.

"Politoed!" Misty exclaimed, worriedly.

"What just happen?!"

"Someone mind filling me in." Brock said, confused himself.

"Liquidation." Volkner responses.

"Oh, is that what Yuna had Leta used."

Volkner nodded.

💧🔱💦🔱💧

Misty blinked confused.

"Liquidation. Leta use Liquidation." Yuna said, simply.

Misty cursed, she knew it, "Politoed, can you continue?" She asked.

"Poli- Politoed!" The frog Pokémon nodded, slightly, exhausted but still able to continue.

"Liquidation is a very interesting attack. Before anyone could notice it."

"Okay, lets go! Use Bubble Beam!" Misty commanded.

The frog Pokémon jumps into the air, "Politoed! Politoed!" It then fires Bubble Beam towards the shiny coral Pokémon.

"La!" Leta dodges it.

"Try a Hydro Pump!"

"Did Misty forget about Corsola Mirror Coat attack?" Brock questioned.

"I don't know." Mairin said.

"Ches?" Chespie blinked.

"Could be." Takato said.

💧🔱💦🔱💧

Leta stood still as the Hydro Pump strikes it, her body was glowing mirror glaze like.

Misty forgotten, "Oh no, I forgot!" She shouted.

"Corsola!" Leta has used Mirror Coat to redirect the Hydro Pump back to Politoed, twice the power.

"Poli! Poli-toeddd!" It cried out in pain.

"Oh! And Politoed takes more damage."

"Tackle it." Yuna said.

"Corsola! Cor-SOLA!" The shiny coral Pokémon tackles the frog Pokémon hard, crashing into the wall once again, creating a spiderwebbed cracks behind it.

"Politoed!" Misty exclaimed out in horror, as her Pokémon is knocked out by a strong Tackle attack.

OUCH! That was going through most people and Pokémon heads.

Flint winced, "Thats gonna leave a mark." He said, rubbing his back.

"Poor Politoed." Brock said.

Takato cheered on his sister and Misty, loudly.

"Go! Yuna! Go! Misty! Fight all!" Mairin cheered.

The two kids didn't care, they continued to cheer with the Pokémon, while Yuna's boyfriends being both silent and non-talking much type, continues to watch.

"Politoed is unable to battle!" The referee declared, raising the red flag, "Corsola wins."

"Looks like Politoed couldn't handle anymore attacks. That Tackle attack did it. Yuna and Corsola wins the first battle."

"La!" Leta called out happily, as she walked on the ice, back to Yuna's side. "Corsola!" She jumped up and down.

Yuna smiled at her shiny coral Pokémon, "One down."

Leta beamed happily, "La!"

"Misty must now choose her second Pokémon."

Misty thought for a moment, she takes out a Pokéball, "Well, Blastoise, lets go!" She sent out the shellfish Pokémon.

"Blastoise!" It said, appearing.

"Misty has a Blastoise herself." Takato said.

"Togi!" Togepi nodded, happily. It also like Blastoise because Blastoise allow it to sit on its back when it's on the water.

"Do you want to continue Leta?" Yuna asked.

Leta nodded, she is still ready to fight. "Corsola!"

"Okay. I'm keeping you in."

"Yuna will stay with her Corsola, while Misty battle with her Blastoise."

The referee raised both red and green flag, "Begin!" He announces.

"Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" Misty commanded.

"Mirror Coat." Yuna countered.

"Blastoiseeee!" Blastoise fires Hydro Pump from its cannon towards the shiny coral Pokémon.

"Corsolllaaaa." Leta redirects that Hydro Pump back with more power.

"Counter that with Dragon Pulse." Blastoise fires a greenish orb towards the Hydro Pump, canceling each other out. "Quick Aura Sphere!" The shellfish Pokémon immediately fires a bluish green orb.

"La! Corsolaaaa!" Leta was hit by the Aura Sphere and send into the unfrozen area, water.

"And Aura Sphere hits its mark. Can Corsola make a recover?"

"Leta! Recover!" Yuna called out.

Leta heard her trainer and began to glow yellow, she is recovering herself.

"Oh no you don't! Blastoise use Scald!" Misty commanded.

"Blastoiseee!" Blastoise fires Scald across the ice field, melting the ice and into the water.

"Corsola! Cor!" Leta finished recovering about a few seconds ago and she swam backwards avoiding the Scald attack.

"Icicle Spear!" Leta fires a sharp ice spears from the water.

Icicle Spear appears out of the water and into the air, falling down towards the shellfish Pokémon.

"Watch out Blastoise!" Misty warned. "Withdraw!"

Blastoise withdraws into its shell, defending itself from the Icicle Spear.

"Blastoise defends itself with Withdraw, just in time."

"Corsola!" Leta jumped out of the water, onto a platform.

"Ice Beam!" Yuna said.

"Corsolaaaaa!" Leta fires an Ice Beam towards the shellfish Pokémon, who just un-withdraw itself, freezing it.

"Oh no! Blastoise!" Misty shouted.

"And Corsola has frozen Blastoise. Will this be it?"

"Stone Edge." Leta summons shards of rocks around herself and sent them towards the frozen shellfish Pokémon.

The Stone Edge hits the frozen Blastoise, shattering the ice and injuring it.

"That Stone Edge hits it mark."

"Blastoiseeeee!" The shellfish Pokémon cried out in pain.

"Nature Power." Leta opened her mouth and fires a Hydro Pump, hitting the shellfish Pokémon, sending crashing into the wall.

Takato scratched his head, confused, "Hydro Pump, is that possible?" He asked, lost.

"It is. Nature Power is a move that has various of attack depending on the environment." Alain explained.

"Oh, okay!"

"And Nature Power becomes a Hydro Pump, that hits Blastoise."

"Blastoise!" Misty looked at her Pokémon who collapsed onto the water, with swirling eyes.

"Toise... Blast..." It said, unconscious.

"Blastoise is unable to battle. Corsola wins and the match goes to Yuna." The referee declared.

"What a battle. Yuna advances to the next round."

Meanwhile with Team Rocket, they are still fishing for some water Pokémon.

So far, Jessie and James have captured twenty-four Water Pokémon; eight Starmie, seven Seaking and nine Mantine. They need only sixteen Water Pokémon.

"Yes and with this lot, we'll be paid in no time." James said.

"Chinchou." A Chinchou said, beside James.

"Its a good thing that we now have a Electric-type on the team." James said, "It's helping us a lot."

Chinchou is James' Pokémon, he wanted a Water-type himself, since Jessie has a Cloyster, so when he declared that the next Pokémon he fishes, it's the one he is going to keep and it was Chinchou, it made James very happy.

The gang, Misty, Volkner and Flint were all talking about the matches.

"Your Yuna Ketchum aren't you?" A female voice questioned from behind them.

"Huh?" Everyone looked.

"Aren't you the winner of the today sixth match?" Brock asked, to make sure his right.

The woman smiled, "Yes."

[A/N: And I swear her voice is sooooo soft spoken, it's really nice.]

"Both you and your Pokémon battle were amazing." Brock complimented.

"Thanks."

"Hello, is there something I can help you with?" Yuna asked, the woman.

"Just saying hi. I'm Trinity Takami and I'll be facing you in the third round." The woman introduces herself.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you Trinity."

"Yuna, I've seen you battle and I'm very impressed with the way you battle. Your tactics are excellent." Trinity complimented.

"Thank you very much for the compliment."

Trinity smiled, "Tomorrow match is going to tough but it's also going to be great." She said and she held out her hand, "I wish you good luck tomorrow Yuna."

Yuna shook hands with Trinity, "Good luck to you as well."

"Now give it your all, don't you go easy on me Yuna."

"The same to you. Trinity."

Both Yuna and Trinity nodded to each other.

"It's a beautiful day of the Whirl Cup, as we enter in the third round competition. With only sixteen Pokémon trainers left, the competition is fierce. The winner of today's battle will move onto the semifinals tomorrow."

Both Trinity and Yuna entered the colosseum.

"Go nee-chan! Go!" Takato cheered.

"Win it Yuna!" Mairin cheered.

"That's right!" Misty added. "You beat me! So you better win it!"

Flint sweat dropped, "Seriously."

"This battle may be tough. Trinity Water Pokémon is pretty well trained." Brock commented.

"Yes, but so is Yu." Alain said.

"First up, Trinity versus Yuna."

"Same rules as the second round. Each trainer is allowed two Pokémon." The referee announces.

Both Yuna and Trinity sent out their Pokémon at the same time.

"Greninja, lets do this." Yuna said.

"Greninja." The ninja Pokémon appeared, standing on the platform.

Everyone in the colosseum were amazed, they are now wondering what else kind of Water Pokémon does Yuna Ketchum have.

"Lets do it, Gyarados." Trinity said.

"Grrrr!" The atrocious Pokémon roared.

"Well well, it's Greninja, a Pokémon from the Kalos Region, a Water and Dark-type up against the fierce Gyarados."

"And Begin!" The referee raised both red and green flag into the air.

"Gyarados, Hydro Pump." Trinity said.

"Use Cut." Yuna countered.

"Gyarrrr!" The atrocious Pokémon launches a burst of water from its mouth towards the ninja Pokémon.

"Nin!" Greninja held out both hands and a kunai-like weapon appeared, he dashes towards the Hydro Pump, running on top of it and slashed Gyarados twice.

Maya was impressed by the speed.

"GRRRRR!" Gyarados roared out in pain.

Trinity gasped, "Gyarados!"

"Don't let Gyarados recover! Greninja use Gunk Shot." Greninja fires a poisonous blob from its mouth and it hits the atrocious Pokémon.

"G-gyara..." Gyarados roared, it is poison now.

"Oh no. Gyarados is poison." Trinity said, worriedly.

"This battle is sure fast. First Gyarados uses Hydro Pump, missed its mark and Greninja attacks it twice with its Cut attack and now Gyarados is poisoned by the Gunk Shot."

"End this with Quick Attack and Night Slash!" Yuna said.

"Nin! Greninja!" The ninja Pokémon dashes across the water and it Tackles the atrocious Pokémon into a pillar and then slashes it twice with its Night Slash attack.

Gyarados couldn't handle anymore attacks and the poisonous kicked in, making the atrocious Pokémon collapsed onto the water with swirling eyes.

"Gyarados is unable to battle. Greninja wins." The referee declared, raising the red flag.

"Gyarados had no chance against the speedy Greninja."

💧🔱💦🔱💧

"Wow..." Misty said. "And I thought that Frogadier was impressive but it's evolved form is spectacular."

"That's right you face against Frogadier before." Alain said.

Misty nodded.

Trinity recalled Gyarados back, "Its okay. We won't expecting a speed Water Pokémon. Well then, I got another plan!" She sent out her next Pokémon.

"Chinchou!" The angler Pokémon appeared.

"Trinity second Pokémon will be a Chinchou."

💧🔱💦🔱💧

"A Chinchou?" Mairin blinked.

"Chinchou is the pre-evolved form of Lanturn." Volkner said.

"Oh... Big brother?"

Alain sighs and takes out his Pokédex to scanned Chinchou.

[Chinchou, the Angler Pokémon. The pre-evolved form of Lanturn. Chinchou have the ability to conduct electrical currents from their two tentacles, which flow positive from one end to negative from the other. Chinchou can also communicate underwater by flashing its tentacles.]

"Hey Volkner, what ability does your Lanturn have?" Brock asked, curiously.

Flint groaned, "You won't believe it. Lanturn has Volt Absorb and her hidden one is Water Absorb." He answered.

"What? Lanturn can heal from either electric or water than." Misty said.

"I know, that is sooo unfair."

Volkner ignored his best friend.

"Yuna's Chinchou has the same abilities as well." Brock added.

"Whhhaaatt! How is that fair? So lucky~~" Misty wailed.

"This gotta be interesting huh Greninja." Yuna said to her Pokémon.

"Ninja." Greninja nodded.

"Yuna is staying with Greninja."

"Begin!" The referee announces.

"Electric Spark." Trinity commanded.

"ChinchouChinochouChinchou Chinchou!" The angler Pokémon fires electricity into the air.

"Chinchou has started off by shooting Spark into the sky."

Yuna looked up, "This tactics reminds me of Thunder Dance." She muttered. "Greninja, Double Team and Smoke Screen."

"Nin! Greninja!" Greninja immediately multiply himself into seven, in different area on the field.

As the electric struck down, it missed, hitting a copy one.

"Gren-ninja." The frog Pokémon covered the area in smoke.

"I can't see anything with this Smoke Screen and either can both trainers."

"Chinchou stay alert!" Trinity shouted, warning.

"Ice Punch." Greninja uses his senses, to sense where the angler Pokémon is and dashes from platform to platform, he reels his fist back and punches Chinchou, sending it into a pillar.

"Chinchou!" Chinchou cries out.

Trinity couldn't see, "Chinchou!" She exclaimed.

"It sounds like Chinchou was hit."

"Clear the smoke." Yuna said.

Greninja jumped into the air and onto a pillar, "Greninja." He blew and cold wind appeared.

"It's Icy Wind and it's clearing up the Smoke Screen."

As the Icy Wind was clearing up the smoke, soon it was all cleared up and revealed Chinchou, in the water.

"Now we can see!"

"Electro Ball!" Trinity said.

"Chin-chou!" Chinchou fires an Electric Ball.

"Nin." Greninja easily dodges it by jumped to another pillar.

"And Greninja avoids it by moving to another pillar."

"Dark Pusle." Yuna said.

The ninja Pokémon fires a Dark Pulse towards the water.

"Substitute!" Chinchou replaces itself a copy and the copy was hit by the Dark Pulse, "Now Scald!" It fires a boiling hot water from it mouth, out of the water.

"Nin." The ninja Pokémon dodges it again.

"Bubble Beam rapid fire!" Chinchou fires Bubble Beam from the in the water into the air, towards the ninja Pokémon.

Greninja continues to dodge the Bubble Beam attack.

"Neither Pokémon are giving up."

"Ice Shuriken Greninja." Yuna said.

"Ninja!" Greninja jumps into the air, avoid the water, he uses Water Shuriken and then freezes it, he then tosses it into the water.

The Ice Shuriken hits the water, creating a huge splash.

"Did that Water Shuriken combined with Ice Beam hit its mark?"

"Chin-Chou..." The angler Pokémon said, with weakly as it was resurfaced.

"It did!"

"Chinchou!" Trinity exclaimed, worriedly, as her Pokémon is completely, exhausted.

"Once more, Water Shuriken!" Greninja launches a Water Shuriken this time.

Chinchou was sent flying backwards and crashing into the wall, "Chinchou!" It cried out.

Trinity gasped, "Oh no!" She knows it was too late.

"Oh, and Water Shuriken has hit Chinchou."

Chinchou collapses into the water and resurfaced with swirling eyes.

"Chinchou is unable to battle!" The referee declared, raising the red flag, "Greninja wins!"

"A trilling match ends with Yuna edging out Trinity for the win. Advancing to the final round."

The audience cheered.

Trinity sighs, she picked up Chinchou who was awake, "It's okay Chinchou. You did your best." She praised, "I'm proud of you." She returned her Pokémon.

"Chinchou." Chinchou nodded, before returning back to its Pokéball for a rest.

Yuna high five her Greninja, "Excellent work Greninja. We won." She said.

"Greninja." Greninja nodded.

Back at the Pokémon Centre, night has appeared, Yuna was looking up who is her opponent for the next match.

"Hey Yuna." Trinity greeted as she walked up to them.

"Trinity, hello. How is Gyarados and Chinchou doing?" Yuna asked, concerned.

Trinity smiled, "They are going to be fine. They'll make a full recovery by tomorrow." She assured her.

Yuna sighs in relief, "Thats good to hear."

"Your a tough opponent. I had a lot of fun battling against you and your tactics." Trinity complimented. "Your next opponent is a trainer named Bert Henrikson and he is a talented trainer."

"Um, he mostly uses his Feraligator throughout this competition." Brock remembers, "I remember that he barley changed Pokémon at all."

"Yes. His Feraligator is very strong, so I have no doubt that it would be his first Pokémon tomorrow." Trinity commented.

"I see." Yuna said.

"But don't worry, I'll be rooting for you in the match tomorrow." Trinity smiled.

"Thank you Trinity." Yuna smiled.

At that time Team Rocket has just finished catching all thirty-nine Water Pokémon with the Lure Balls.

If the remaining fifteen Lure Balls, James and Jessie has caught; nine Octillery, three Tentacruel and three Quilfish.

"Phew, I-I have never thought t-that fishing w-would be so ex-exhausting." Jessie panted, heavily.

"Yeah, but at last we have a thirty-nine Lure Balls with Pokémon in them, to give them all to the Boss." Meowth stared, at the Lure Balls in a sack, "And the best part is that no one not, even the twerps got in our way."

"I agree." James said.

Jessie sighs, loudly, "I'm tried." She yawned.

"Let's disguise ourselves and then head to the Pokémon Centre, to get our Pokémon healer up and rest, we'll also get a meal and sleep in peace." James said.

"Yeah, we won't have to worry about paying for our room or meal." Jessie said.

So Team Rocket went to the Pokémon Centre, to get their Pokémon all healed up, a meal and a room to rest for the night.

Jessie had all her Pokémon check up; Arbok, Cloyster, Granbull and Wobbuffet.

James did the same, having all his Pokémon healed up; Weezing, Gloom, Skiploom, Victreebel and Chinchou.

Meowth also joined in on the medical check up, also James warned Meowth not to speak a work or he'll give themselves away, so he didn't speak at all.

Tomorrow is a big day for Yuna, who is battling in the finals. Who will win is any guess.
