It's full steam ahead for our heroes, straight to the Whirl Islands. A great way for our heroes to celebrate for Yuna earning a new Storm Badge.

Yuna was looking at her badge and ribbon case, "We just need three more badges and two more ribbons Light." She said to her partner.

Light smiled and nodded, "Pika."

"Huh." Brock notice something in the ocean and there were loads of them, "Uh oh, whirlpools."

Yuna, Alain, Takato and Mairin notice them as well.

"Erm, do you think we'll be okay?" Mairin asked, nervously.

"I don't know." Takato gulped. "There everywhere."

The ferry continues forward and it manages to avoid the whirlpools.

Suddenly the ferry gave a sudden jolt.

The gang jumped slightly.

"Okay... I don't like this." Yuna said, as she grabbed hold off her little brother.

"Me either." Brock gulped.

"We should hold on." Alain told the others and he grabbed his little sister.

The gang all held onto the rails of the ferry, so they wouldn't fall overboard but then, the ferry suddenly tipped sideways.

"Wahh!" Takato yelped.

"What's going on?" Yuna asked, worried.

Alain carefully lended forward and saw the problem, "This is bad. The ferry is having trouble with one of the whirlpools." He said, lending back.

"Oh great..." Mairin groaned and then she yelped.

The ferry tipped side and...

"Ahhh!" The gang fell overboard.

SPLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

And into the sea.

"Puwah!" Takato spat out water from his mouth.

"Arwnn..." Zack whined as he is wet.

"Is everyone okay?" Brock asked.

"Yeah but we have a problem." Yuna pointed out.

The ferry continues on its way, away from where they are.

"Oh no- Woah!" Mairin yelped.

The gang was getting swept away by the current of the whirlpool.

"We're going to get sucked in by the whirlpool!" Brock shouted out.

"Ula!" Yuna sent out the transport Pokémon.

"Lapp!" Ula appeared.

"Hydro!" Takato sent out the shellfish Pokémon.

"Blast!" Hydro appeared.

"Gyarados." Alain sent out the shiny atrocious Pokémon.

"Grrryah!" Shiny Gyarados appeared.

Yuna and Mairin were on the back of Ula, Brock and Alain were on the back of Shiny Gyarados and Takato was on the back of Hydro.

Ula, Shiny Gyarados and Hydro quickly swam away from the whirlpool.

"Wahh, that was close!" Takato exclaimed out in relief, as he laid on his back of his Pokémon back.

"AUUUUUU~~" A Pokémon cry was heard.

"What was that?!" Mairin exclaimed.

The gang looked back at the whirlpools and saw a large shadow swimming just underneath them.

"Lugia?" Yuna said.

"Are you sure?" Brock asked, he has never met Lugia, only Poseidon.

"It's not the one we know from Orange Islands." Alain added.

"And I recognise that cry from anywhere, Poseidon makes them." Yuna said.

"Yeah and we might be in another trouble." Takato pointed out.

"What?" Mairin looked ahead, "What is that?"

Something seems to be heading towards them, fast and it was a pink coral-like Pokémon swimming.

"Corsola?" The pink coral-like Pokémon stopped in from of gang.

"It's a Corsola." Brock said.

Corsola looked at the strong Water-type Pokemon and couldn't help but feel slightly timid because of Shiny Gyarados was there as well.

"Lapp?" Ula spoke.

"Corsola Corsola Sola."

"Lap Lapp Lap."

Corsola nodded, it turned around, "Corsola. (Follow me.)" It said.

"Translation." Brock said.

"Corsola saw that we might need help and her trainer allowed her to go and let us follow her back." Takato translated.

"And lead us the way to the ship he is on." Yuna smiled, "Lead the way Corsola." She said.

Corsola smiled and swam ahead, with Ula, Hydro and Shiny Gyarados following behind.

As Corsola continues to lead the gang, she soon arrived at a small ship with someone standing aboard and she jumped into a person waiting arm.

"Good work Corsola." The man said and he looked at the gang, "I trust your alright. Huh, wait a minute I know you." He looked shocked, seeing them.

"Professor Elm?!" Mairin and Takato exclaimed.

Professor Elm brought the gang onboard and into the cabin of the ship, so they could get warmed up and talk with him.

The gang told Professor Elm about their adventure so far in Johto, what Pokémon they have captured and what events has happened.

"Astonishing, sounds like you all had quite a journey so far. And Yuna, wow, five badges and three ribbons already." Professor Elm said, "It's been along time since we last saw each other." He took a sip of his drink.

"Corsola." Corsola jumped onto Professor Elm's lap, "La."

Professor Elm smiled at Corsola, "Yes, of course, your thirsty too." He held his cup in front of Corsola.

"Laaa~..." Corsola drinks.

"How cute~" Mairin squealed.

"So I take it that's your Corsola Professor Elm?" Brock asked.

"Yes, I caught her while I was doing my research here, right in the Whirl Islands." Professor Elm answered.

Yuna took out her Pokédex and scanned the coral-like Pokémon.

[Corsola, the Coral Pokémon. A combination of both Water and Rock types. It sheds and regrow the horns on its head numerous of times.]

"Sounds like a great Pokémon for the gym back home." Brock commented, "Might try to catch one myself."

"Me too." Mairin agreed.

Yuna smiled and place the Pokédex away, she might get one herself too.

Alain was checking GuangFeng to see if it was damage or slightly wet but, apparently it wasn't at all, no marks or whatsoever, 'Hisui did mention that GuangFeng doesn't get damage at all because of the rare bamboo and the way it's made, it's really sturdy, so in other words... It's impossible to break or have marks on it.' He thought. He felt assured now.

Professor Elm got hyped up all the sudden, "The Captain of this ship is Captain Marius, there isn't another Captain alive who isn't familiar with this sea as Marius, even these large whirlpool are nothing to be afraid off." He said.

"Enough talk Professor, why don't we give these kids to rest up a bit." The mid aged man said, as he climbed down the ladder.

"Yes, your absolutely right." Professor Elm gave an apology look and then smiled, "Let me introduce you, this is Captain Marius himself."

"Glad your safe." Captain Marius said to the gang.

The gang introduced themselves and thanked the Captain.

Captain Marius drove the ship to an island.

"What island is that Professor Elm?" Brock asked.

"That's the entry way to the Whirl Islands, Blue Point Isle." Professor Elm answered. "Ancient seem to name it for the large blue rock. Which would guide them safely into port at the end of a long journey."

🌪🏝 ——— [Break Scene] ——— 🏝🌪

Captain Marius docked the ship and the gang saw lots of colour.

"This is Inland City, the largest city in Blue Point Isle." Alain said.

"Yeah and it seems..." Takato started.

"Colourful." Mairin ended.

"Yes." Brock agreed.

"It's let they are preparing for something." Yuna pointed out.

"It's the Whirl Cup." Captain Marius said.

"Whirl Cup? Where have I heard that name before?"

"It's a competition that's held once every three years, were Water Pokémon Trainers battle for top honours." Professor Elm explained.

"Misty would love this." Mairin said.

"Yeah." Takato nodded.

"Although the competition doesn't begin in another month, preparation is well underway." Professor Elm said.

"Sounds fun." Yuna said. "You can count me in. Alain?" She looked at her boyfriend.

Alain gave Yuna a small smile, "I'm fine." His not interested.

Professor Elm and the gang headed to the Pokémon Centre.

🌪🏝 ——— [Break Scene] ——— 🏝🌪

"Hi, welcome to Blue Point Isle." Nurse Joy greeted them, "You must be here to register for the Whirl Cup."

"Chansey." The egg Pokémon gave Yuna a book.

"Erm, this is?" Yuna asked, taking the book.

"The competition rule book, be sure to read it cover to cover, the regulation are in there." Nurse Joy explained.

"Oh, thank you." Yuna smiled.

"Chansey." Chansey smiled back.

"La. La Corsola!" Corsola jumped out of Professor Elm's hand and headed somewhere.

Mairin notice this, "Where is Corsola going?" She asked.

"Not to worry. Corsola is just going out to the swimming pool over there. The pool is connected to the bay, so Pokémon could swim back and forth and visit their aquatic friends whenever they want to." Professor Elm explained.

"That's cool." Takato said.

"Impressive." Brock commented.

"And they travel here with their trainers from all different part of the world to compete in the Whirl Cup." Nurse Joy explained, "They come here early to get their Pokémon ready, because the climate is different from island to island."

"That's a great idea." Yuna said, her Pokémon were used to the different weather.

And so Nurse Joy registered Yuna for the Whirl Cup Competition.

"Everything is in order." Nurse Joy told Yuna as her image appeared on the screen, "Thank you, your Whirl Cup registrations is complete, your good to go."

"Thank you Nurse Joy." Yuna said.

"Pika." Light said.

"Wait, where is Brock?" Takato asked, looking around.

"His over there with that trainer." Professor Elm pointed in the direction were the Breeder is at.

"Must be getting some tips." Alain said.

"That's Brock for ya." Yuna smiled.

"In your opinion, the most important aspect of Water Pokémon is it at a consistent moisture level?" Brock questioned.

"That's right. With land dwelling Pokémon, it is very important to brush their fur regularly." The trainer explained as Brock writes it down, "But for Water Pokémon is to maintain their health, energy and their ability to battle, their skin must be always kept moist."

Brock nodded as he writes them down, "Hmm Mm."

Captain Marius tapped Brock on the shoulder, "Have you finish registered yet so you can compete in the Whirl Cup Brock?" He asked.

"My real interest is in Pokémon Breeding. So while I'm here I want to learn as much as I can on Breeding Water Pokémon." Brock answered.

"That's fascinating. And what about your friends over there, Yuna and Alain?" Captain Marius asked, looking at the two kids with Professor Elm.

"Alain is a Pokémon Trainer but he is more a Pokémon Researcher and he helps out his grandfather Professor Sycamore about Mega Evolution."

"Hm, I heard of Mega Evolution, it gives the ability of some certain Pokémon to evolve even further for a short moment of time called Mega Evolve, but you must have a strong bond between you and your Pokémon. It's truely fascinating."

"That's right and Alain's grandfather is the one who researches about them. Yuna is a Pokémon Trainer and a Coordinator, her dream is the become a Pokémon Master and a Top Coordinator."

"What about Takato and Mairin?"

"Takato and Mairin are quite similar which is amusing, they both what to become to a Great Dark-type Trainer and Great Grass-type Trainer but together they want to become a Tag-Team Battler with each other."

"Ohoho, quite a goal."

"Yes. The five of us are travelling together for quite sometime now."

"Your together and yet each of you have your own dream." Captain Marius thought and then smiled, "I think that's great. Just fantastic."

"And since the Whirl Cup focuses almost completely on various matches between Water Pokémon, most trainers here specialises sole on that." Professor Elm explains.

"How interesting." Yuna said.

"Where is the competition held Professor Elm?" Alain asked.

"On Red Rock Isle." Professor Elm replied and showed them a map that is hanging on the wall.

"Here you can see all the Whirl Islands. We're located here in Blue Point Isle."

"Looks like the biggest one." Takato joined in.

"You see most of the Whirl Islands are divided between these four islands. Aside from Blue Point, there's Yellow Rock, Red Rock and Silver Rock Isle."

"So Red Rock Isle is the place we need to be." Yuna said.

"There are qualifying rounds prying to the finals that will narrow the field of entry's." Professor Elm told them all the sudden.

"Wha?" Takato and Mairin said. "There are qualifying rounds?"

"I'm not surprise." Yuna said, dryly.

"And the one who finally makes it through each and every challenge to victory, shall be given the title of Water Pokémon Alpha Omega." Professor Elm told them.

"Is there a story behind the title?" Alain asked, its sounds pretty intense title.

"Legend has it that long ago expert Water Pokémon Trainers were known by that very name. Also told that they lived under the sea and understood the hearts of Water Pokémon."

Unknown to the gang and Professor Elm that they were being spied on by Team Rocket.

"Aha, I see, it appears that all these Pokémon are extremely well trained for battling." Jessie said.

"That means that they are pretty powerful Pokémon to take." James said.

"Let's hop to it troops and roll." Meowth said.

Later on the gang told Professor Elm and Captain Marius about the shadow of Lugia that they saw in the sea.

"Are you kids sure about the shadow being a Lugia?" Professor Elm asked, finding it hard to believe.

"Yes. Professor Elm I recognise Lugia's shadow pretty well because of Poseidon, when he's under the water." Yuna answered.

Captain Marius looked thoughtful, "I have heard many stories about a Mysterious Pokémon lurking about in the Whirl Islands, but no one knows what the Pokémon is." He commented.

"If that Pokémon you saw is a Lugia, it would make a big discovery in a life time. The truth is, the sea is home to many Pokémon and there's no telling what you'll find in there." Professor Elm commented.

Light looked up and froze, "Pikapi Pikachu!" She shouted out, pointing into the sky.

"Huh?" The gang, Professor Elm and Captain Marius looked up and saw something, flying over the Pokémon Centre.

"That's an unusual hot air balloon." Professor Elm said.

"Oh, to us not really." Yuna said.

"We see it a lots of times." Alain added.

"It's Team Rocket." Takato said.

"Their here too." Brock groaned.

Team Rocket hot air balloon stopped above the pool area, looking down.

"Pokémon sighted." Jessie said.

"Let's go fishing." Meowth said.

James pressed a button in the balloon and then a large net came out of the balloon, into the pool.

Nurse Joy came out and was shocked, "Ohh."

Inside the net were a few Water-type Pokémon; Staryu, Magikarp, Goldeen, Golduck, Seel, Dewgong and a Poliwhirl.

"Ahahah, with this we will be great!" Meowth laughed.

Team Rocket flew away with the captured Pokémon in the net.

"This isn't happening." Nurse Joy said, upset as she watches helplessly, unable to do anything.

Professor Elm, Captain Marius and the gang saw what happened and went after Team Rocket with Captain Marius ship.

Meanwhile Team Rocket were flying over the ocean with the Pokémon.

"We should go to other islands to gather more Pokémon." James suggested.

"Great idea James." Jessie agreed.

"Yeah." Meowth said.

Captain Marius ship showed up with the gang and Professor Elm onboard at the front.

"Give those Pokémon back Team Rocket!" Takato and Mairin shouted out.

"It's a battle your looking for, fine. Go Cloyster!" Jessie sent out the bivalve Pokémon.

"Cloyster." It appeared.

"Lacus, I choose you." Yuna sent out the pure white tender Pokémon.

"Miloo~" Lacus sang as she appeared with a sparkle.

"Oh my that's..." Professor Elm said, astonished.

"Cloyster use Ice Beam." Jessie commanded.

"Lacus, Ice Aqua Jet." Yuna countered.

"Cloyster!" The bivalve Pokémon fires an icy beam towards the tender Pokémon.

"Milo!" Lacus encased herself in water as she charges forward, towards the Ice Beam and as the Ice Beam of the opponents hits her Aqua Jet, it became covered in ice. "Milotic!" She tackles Cloyster, hard.

"Cloyster!" It cried out in pain.

"Iron Tail." Lacus tail glowed metallic colour and she slammed it down onto the bivalve Pokémon head, hard and into the ocean.

Cloyster resurfaced with swirling eyes, "C-Cloy-ster..."

"Corsola, Spike Cannon!" Professor Elm commanded, pointing towards the net.

"Corsola!" The coral Pokémon glowed white and then fired lots of white spikes from its horn.

"Gyahhh!" Team Rocket screamed out, as the Spike Cannon hits them.

The spikes from the Spike Cannon, ripped the net apart and the captured Water Pokémon were set free.

"Oh no!" Team Rocket gasped.

"Light, Thunderbolt." Yuna said.

"Pika!" Light jumped of Yuna's shoulder, "Piikkaacchhuuuu!" She fires a electricity towards Team Rocket balloon.

BOOM!

Team Rocket hot air balloon, exploded.

"TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket screamed, as they are blasted away.

The Water Pokémon gathered around them, they were graceful to them and thanked them for saving them.

That night, the gang stayed at the Pokémon Centre.

["That's great, your in the a Whirl Islands. You should find no trouble of finding all sorts of Water Pokémon."] Professor Oak told them.

"Yeah." Yuna said. "Oh and Professor Oak we saw a shadow of a Lugia in the ocean."

["A Lugia huh. Fascinating, it's seems like there are lot more mystery to the Whirl Islands than I thought."]

Next the Professor of Johto talked with the Professor of Kanto about things and they talked a lot and long.

The next day, the gang got ready to leave onto their next destination.

"Until we meet again aye." Professor Elm said.

"Thank you for everything." Yuna said.

"And don't forget the next ferry you guys should catch is from Bluefinland, that's your best bet for getting to Yellow Rock Isle." Captain Marius told them.

Brock checked the map in the guide book, "Well, here we are now in Inland City and Bluefinland is way up here." He said.

"Bluefinland here we come!" Takato and Mairin cheered.

"Arf!" Zack barked.

"Chespin." Chespie nodded.

"Corsola Corsola Corsola~" Corsola waved.

"Have fun you guys." Captain Marius waved.

"Have a safe trip." Professor Elm waved.

"Thank you bye!" Yuna waved.

"Pikachu!" Light waved.

"See ya later!" Takato waved.

"Arf!" Zack barked.

"Bye bye!" Mairin waved.

"Ches Chespin!" Chespie waved.

"Thanks for everything." Brock waved.
