Today is the start of Cherrygrove City Pokémon Contest. The contest is held inside the Contest Hall where it was filled with audiences that came to watch the Coordinators performance.

"Wow, it's so packed." Mairin said, looking around.

"Good thing that we got front seats." Brock said.

"Can't wait to see how nee-chan does in her first Contest." Takato said, excitedly.

"Hey Alain, any idea what Pokémon Yuna is going to use?" Brock asked.

Alain thought, "She didn't say anything but I have the feeling of what Pokémon she is using." He answered.

In the back of the Contest Hall in the lobby room, held all the Coordinators who is going to participate in the contest.

"It sure is packed." Yuna muttered, seating in the back.

"Pikachu." Light sat in her partners lap.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Johto Pokémon Contest here in Cherrygrove City!" A young woman announced to the crowd audience. She has short wavy curl tip orange brown hair and a white clip is on her right side hair. [Outfit... Image!] Holding a microphone in front of her.

"Thank you for all your patience! I'm your MC, Elian Meridian." The announcer introduces herself with a smile.

[A/N: I'm making all the MC Contest all Siblings and the contest MC names all ends with 'ian'.]

The audience clapped and cheered.

"Now let's me our judges. First off, we have the Director of the Contest Committee, Mr. Contesta." Elian introduces.

"Thank you, great to be here." A man with dark grey and light grey hair that is combed back neatly and black-eyes, wearing a red suit.

"Next we have, the President of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Sukizo."

"I'll say, remarkable." A short man with bald grey agri and close eyes, wearing a grey suit.

"And finally our very own Cherrygrove City, Nurse Joy!"

"It's a pleasure." Nurse Joy smiled.

"Now the Coordinator that earns their way to victory will receive this..." Elian held out the ribbon to the crowd and camera's around, showing it, "The Cherrygrove Ribbon!"

The audience cheered loudly.

"The Coordinators who are skilled enough to earn five Contest ribbons, that are held throughout the Johto Region will be able to compete the ultimate test for all Coordinators... The Pokémon Grand Festival!"

The audience cheered loudly and clapped.

"Now let's get the contest underway! For the first round is the Performance Stage. Coordinators have their Pokémon performing their moves in order to show a their style and skills." Elian explained the first round, "The appeals are awarded by points by our judges, and the Coordinators with the highest scores proceed to the next round!"

The audience was excited.

"Sooo, lets get it started!"

[A/N: Elian is energetic sister like Lilan.]

The Performance Stage started.

The contestants started to show of their Pokémon Performance one by one, there were many Coordinators; some showed of their Pokémon strength, beauty, power, move and many other ways.

"Wow, there all so pretty and incredible." Mairin said, in awe as she watched the performances.

"Chespin." Chespie nodded, agreeing.

"Do you think Yuna has a chance of winning?" Mairin asked.

"Yuna has a chance alright." Brock replied.

"Brock is right. Yu, has a chance of even winning this contest because Yu actually as the battle style of a Coordinator already." Alain explained, remembering all those combinations attacks his girlfriend created and used.

"Yeah, nee-chan is going to win it!" Takato grinned.

After twenty contestants has past it was finally Yuna's turn to perform.

"Next we have a first time Coordinator but she is a Pokémon trainer as well, but don't underestimate her because shes Kanto's Princess, Yuna Ketchum of Pallet Town!"

The audience that are from Kanto cheered loudly and the others that know her reputation as a unpredictable trainer jaw dropped.

Yuna stepped out from behind the curtains and onto the stage, with Light beside her.

"Well let's go. Let's turn the field into ice... Yukimi, Red Carpet." Yuna tossed the Pokéball into air and the Pokéball opened up, revealing the Alolan Ninetales, as she had shards of ice around her and she shattered it, creating sparkles around her.

"Nine~" Yukimi landed on the field and the field immediately turned into ice. Her tails waves around beautiful as it sparkles.

"Oh my! What a beautiful opening that was!" Elian complimented, "We have an Alolan Ninetales and if you can see closely folks, Ninetales coat is sparkling beautifully."

The audience gave loud cheered and claps.

"That was beautiful!" Mairin squealed.

"As expected of Yuna." Alain smiled.

"That was an unexpected entrance of Yukimi." Brock said.

"Yuki, Hail." Yuna said.

"Nineeeee~" Yukimi released a gust of cold air from her body, causing snow to fall.

"And Yuna starts off her performance with a Hail and it snowing."

"Go." Yukimi started to ski along the ice ground and as she did her body began to glow.

"Oh my what this?" Elian questioned, as she watched the body of the Alolan Ninetales starting to glow, "Ninetales body is glowing and its shining beautifully! I can't take my eyes of it."

[A/N: Just imagine like the picture of Ninetales that she is skiing on ice ground.]

The audience and the judges awed at the move.

"Incredible. How did Yuna figure out how do that?" Brock questioned.

"Create a ramp!" Yuna called out.

"Nninneee!" Yukimi fired an Ice Beam attack, creating an ramp on the ice ground.

"And Yuna's Ninetales has created a ramp by using Ice Beam? What is her plan?"

"Now!"

Yukimi ski faster and she the uses the ramp as a boost and she flew or jump into the air.

"End this! Aurora Veil!"

"Nine~~" Yukimi cries out and her body becomes surrounded in veil of rainbow-like aura.

The audience and judges watched as the Alolan fox Pokémon body had a rainbow aura around herself, they all became mesmerised by this.

"Unbelievable this is really beautiful! Ninetales is glowing still and an rainbow-like aura surround her body as well... Truely breathtaking!"

"Ninetales~!" Yukimi did two flips in the air before she landed on the fading ice ground, her body stopped glowing but her rainbow-like aura remains before disappearing, slowly. "Ninetales Nine!"

Yuna, Light and Yukimi all bowed as they finished their performance.

"What a beautiful ending that was! Now let's heard it from our judges!" Elian commented.

"A beautiful combination of Ice-type moves and skill movements all together, an excellent performance." Mr. Contesta compliment and on the booth was the number 10 that appeared.

"I'll say, it's truely remarkable!" Mr. Sukizo said and on the judge booth was a number 10 appeared.

"It's great to see how Ninetales uses the whole field like it was dancing in the snow. Truely beautiful." Nurse Joy smiled and on the booth the number 10 appeared.

And then on the large TV screen a large 30 appeared on the board.

"Wow! A perfect 30! Congratulations to Yuna and Ninetales!" Elian announces.

The audience clapped and cheered.

Yuna smiled and petted Yukimi's head.

"Ninetales~" Yukimi smiled.

"Thank you, Yuna and Ninetales for the wonderful performance!" Elian said.

Yuna and Yukimi walked off the stage.

"Let's see our next Coordinator!"

The performance continued on.

After the last Coordinator finished.

"Thank you! Alright ladies and gentlemen the first round performance is now over." Elian announced, "Now our three judges will choose out of all forty Coordinator to see who moves onto the next round! So don't go anywhere!" She winked at the camera towards the people who are watching the contest.

When all the Coordinators have finished performing, the judges have to picked the top eight Coordinators that has the highest score.

"Thank you all for your patience, the first round of judges are complete! Please pay attention to the main screen, these are the eight lucky Coordinators that are moving onto the next round!" Elian announced, behind her was a large tv screen.

The screen showed Yuna appearing first and then followed by seven other Coordinators.

"Congratulations to the lucky eight! Now the next round is the Battle Stage, in which Coordinators compete in Pokémon battles wile continuing to show off their Pokémon's style and skill. Each battle lasts five minutes and the object of the battle is to decrease the opponents points." Elian explains, the rule of the second round, "Coordinator lose points when their Pokémon are hit by an attack, when their Pokémon's attack fails, when the opponents Pokémon performs a particularly appealing move or when the opponents Pokémon uses their attack to its own advantage. A battle can also end when one of the Pokémon is unable to battle called, Battle Off by our judges! Now let's see who battles who shall we?"

The eight images was shuffled and when it was set on in the position who is battling who.

Yuna was up first against a Coordinator name Scarlett Field.

"Scarlett Field huh? From what I've seen she is a Fire-type user." Brock commented, "That Magby may be in its first evolution form still, but its no joke."

"Now let's get the first round Battle Stage started! Yuna Ketchum VS Scarlett Field!"

Both Coordinators stood on either side of the stages.

"We have five minutes on the clock! Let's get started!" Elian shouted.

BING! 4:59 The countdown begins.

The audience cheers.

"Magby, go!" Scarlett sent out the live coal Pokémon.

"Magby!" It cried out as it appeared on stage.

"Yukimi, Red Carpet." Yuna sent out her Alolan fox Pokémon.

"Ninetales~" Yukimi appeared, landing on the ground, gracefully.

"Fire against Ice. Wonder how this will turn out?" Brock commented.

Alain pulled out his Pokédex and scanned the live coat Pokémon.

[Magby, the Live Coat Pokémon. The pre-evolved form of Magmar. Despite its small size, it is a tough opponent and produces an extremely hot flame.]

"Magby use Flamethrower!" Scarlett ordered.

"Maggbyyy!" The live coat Pokémon launched a blast of flames towards the alolan fox Pokémon.

"Yuki, Ice Ground." Yuna said.

"Ninetales~" Yukimi jumped gracefully to avoid the Flamethrower attack and she fired an Ice Beam on the ground, freezing it.

"Magby?! Magby Mag!" The live coat Pokémon panicked as it lost its grounding.

Scarlett lost some points.

"Moonblast!" Yukimi opened her mouth and a image of a moon appeared behind her and then a pink orb was form in front of her mouth, she fires it.

"Magby!" Scarlett gasped as she saw the attack.

"MAGBYY!" Magby was hit directly from the Fairy-type attack, it was sent flying backwards and crashing onto the ground.

Scarlett lost more points and half her points were gone.

"Oh my! That Moonblast was beautiful and can Scarlett attack back?"

"Magby use Fire Spin!" Scarlett commanded.

"Mag... M-Magbyyyu!" Magby fires a Fire Spin, melting the ice ground as well.

"Slide." Yuna said.

"Nine~~" Yukimi slides across the ice, that isn't melted yet, avoiding the Fire Spin.

Scarlett lost tiny points because Yukimi dodges it gracefully.

"Dazzling Gleam." Yukimi jumped, flipping and she fires a pink beam towards the live coat Pokémon.

"Magby?!" The live coat was shocked, "MAGBYYY!" It cried out in pain as the Dazzling Gleam hits it directly.

"Oh no!" Scarlett gasped.

"Magby... Magbyy..." It collapsed onto the ground with swirling eyes.

All the judges looked at Magby and it was knocked out and they made a sign on the booth appear.

TIME - 3:25

"Magby is unable to battle!" Elian spoke, "And with less than three minutes remaining!"

The image of Yuna and Yukimi showed up on the board.

"Yuna and Ninetales moves onto the next round!"

The audience cheered.

"Alright! You go Yuna! Yukimi!" Mairin and Takato cheered.

• • • • •

"Alright! Onto our next battle and it's Edward Brewer VS Rosa Lopez!" Elian announced the next round Coordinators battling.

Edward Brewer is a young boy with short blue and a single yellow highlight through his front hair and light brown eyes.

Rosa Lopez is a girl with short pink hair, with a large yellow ribbon in her hair and dark pink eyes.

"Sooo let's get started!"

BING! 4:59

"Let's go, Wartortle!" Edward sent out the turtle Pokémon.

"Wartortle War." The turtle Pokémon appeared.

"We can do this! Go, Roselia!" Rosa sent out the thorn Pokémon.

"Rose." The thorn Pokémon appeared.

"Wartortle against Roselia, this gotta be interesting." Yuna commented and pulled out her Pokédex, scanning the thorn Pokémon.

[Roselia, the Thorn Pokémon. Roselia's aroma can bring serenity, but it's thorns on its head contain a vicious poison.]

• • • • •

"Roselia use Poison Sting!" Rosa commanded.

"Wartortle use Bubble Beam!" Edward countered.

☾ >> ——— [Break Scene] ——— <<☽

The second round of the Battle Stage continued as two Pokémon went head to head and so far Rosa was in the lead.

"That's it! Time up!" Elian announced.

"Huh?" Both Coordinators gasped.

"And the winner of this round is..."

Rosa and Roselia image showed up.

"Rosa Lopez and Roselia!"

The audience cheered and clapped.

In the third and fourth round the other Coordinators won their matches and was moving onto the next round.

Yuna is battle against a girl named, Natasha Myers, who has long yellow hair and dark yellow eyes.

Natasha use Starmie as her Pokémon.

Yuna won against Natasha by using a combination of Hail, Blizzard and Moonblast, ending the match with a Battle Off.

Making Yuna move onto the final round.

Carly Simmons who has orange red hair and red eyes, was able to defeat Rosa with her Grumpig, the manipulate Pokémon and Psychic-type from the Hoenn Region.

Carly ended the matches with Grumpig Psychic attacks, defeating Rosa's Roselia with a Fire Punch.

So Carly moves onto the final round as well.

"This is it." Mairin said.

"Grumpig is sure going to be a difficult opponent." Brock commented.

"Yuna is going to be fine." Alain said.

"Yeah, nee-chan can handle this with no sweat." Takato grinned.

Now it was the final match up of the Battle Style, both Coordinators were standing on the stage.

"Thank you all! We have two Coordinators who has made it to the final round! Now, Yuna Ketchum from Pallet Town VS Carly Simmons from Rustboro City!" Elian announced.

The audience cheered.

"Ready?"

Both Coordinators nodded.

"Sooo, lets get..."

"STARTED!" The audience shouted, ending the MC word.

BING! 4:59

"Yukimi, Red Carpet." Yuna sent out her Alolan fox Pokémon.

"Ninetales~" Yukimi appeared, landing on the stage.

"Grumpig, it's showtime." Carly sent out the manipulate Pokémon.

"Grumpig!" The manipulate Pokémon, landed on the ground.

"Let's starts things of with our Psychic attack!" Carly commanded.

"Hail!" Yukimi released a gust of cool air and snow started to appear.

The snow hits Grumpig, making it flinch.

And each time Grumpig is hit by the snow, Carly losses tiny points.

"Charge Beam Grumpig!" The manipulate Pokémon fires a yellow white beam towards the Alolan fox Pokémon.

"Dazzling Gleam." Yuna countered.

"Ninneeeee!" Yukimi fires a pink beam and she overpowered the Charge Beam, it broke and releasing, pink and yellow sparkling stars, falling.

"Oh wow, look at all these beautiful sparkling stars from the sky."

Carly lost more points.

"Grumpig use Fire Punch!" Carly commanded.

"Grumpig Grum!" Grumping ran across the field.

Yukimi dodges the Fire Punch, gracefully, her fast feet movements made it easy and difficult for the manipulate Pokémon to land a punch on the alolan fox Pokémon.

"How fast is that Ninetales? Grumpig is punching left and right but it seems it unable to hit Ninetales."

Carly is losing more points.

"And Carly has lost more than half her points."

"Technically I'm not surprise." Alain said, "As long as Yukimi dodges it gracefully, the opponent continues to loss points.

"Yeah. If Carly wants to hit Yukimi, she's going to have to think of another plan. Yukimi is too fast to hit." Brock added.

Grass Knot!" Carly called out.

Grumpig stopped and its eyes glowed green for a split second and grass appeared, it almost tripped the alolan fox Pokémon but she avoided it and flipped backwards in mid air.

"Ice Claw." Yukimi ran across the field, as her body started to glow once again, she lifted up her front right paw and it glowed, forming an Ice Claw.

"Grumpig dodge it!" Carly panicked.

Grumpig couldn't dodge the Ice Claw and it is a directly hit.

"Don't let it recover, use Moonblast!" Yuna called out.

Yukimi immediately opened her mouth and fires a close range Moonblast attack.

"GRUMPIGGGG!" It cried out in pain.

"Grumpig no!" Carly shouted out.

The manipulate collapsed onto the ground with swirling eyes.

The judge decided, Battle Off.

"That's it! Battle Off by our judges. Grumpig is unable to battle! With less than three minutes on the clock! So the winner of the Cherrygrove Contest is..." Elian trailed off and looked at the screen.

The image of Yuna and Ninetales appeared.

"Yuna Ketchum from Pallet Town!"

Yuna smiled and hugged Yukimi, "Thank you."

"Ninetales~" Yukimi smiled and nuzzled her mother.

The audience cheered loudly.

"WOOHOOO! Way to go nee-chan!" Takato stood up.

"Way to go Yuna! Yukimi!" Mairin shouted out.

"Chespin!" Chespie jumped up and down.

Zack was also jumping up and down, excitedly.

"They did it." Brock clapped.

Alain didn't say anything, he clapped with a smile on his face.

Yuna and Yukimi both walked towards the centre of the stage, where Elian and the judges were waiting for her with the ribbon.

"Congratulations to Yuna and Ninetales on this year Cherrygrove Contest winner!" Elian said.

"Congratulations to your first Pokémon Contest Yuna. You two were great." Mr. Contesta praised, "You should be proud and you've earn it." He present the ribbon, "Hope you continue to do excellent in future contest, just like you did today and your Pokémon battles in the future."

"Thank you very much and I will." Yuna smiled and took the ribbon, "Alright we got ourselves the Cherrygrove Ribbon!"

"Ninetales Nine~" Yukimi sang.

"Pikachu!" Light said.

The audience clapped.

"And that's the end of our contest, ladies and gentlemen! Hope to see you all next time at our next contest!" Elian closed the contest.

The audience cheered and clapped.

As all the audience and coordinators started to exit the Contest Hall.

The gang was waiting outside the hallway for Yuna.

Yuna appeared and smiled at them, "Hey!"

"Yuna congratulations!" Brock and Mairin said.

"Nee-chan congrats." Takato chirped.

The Pokémon all said the same thing.

Yuna beamed and gave them all a hugged and lastly Alain.

"Volkner and Flint sent a congratulations text." Alain said to his girlfriend and kissed her forehead, "Grandpa as well."

Yuna blushes, slight, she is getting better at the affection, "Professor Sycamore?" She nodded.

"Mum, recorded the performance." Takato spoke up.

"I figured as much." Yuna said.

"Alright time to get going." Brock announced.

"Okay! Onto the next place!" Mairin and Takato ran.

The oldest sighs and walked.

Now that the Cherrygrove Pokémon Contest is over, as Yuna is the victor, having her first ribbon. The gang now continues on their way to their next destination.
