I hear my alarm clock ring.

"Erg..."

I slowly lift my arm and press the snooze button.

"Just a few more minutes..." I groan and fall back to sleep.

"Pika..." Pikachu says as it stretches.

Pikachu notices me still asleep. He nudges me and tries to wake me up.

"No, not yet..." I turn to the other side of my bed.

"Pika?" Pikachu taps my arm.

Pikachu moves to the side of my bed and sparks his cheeks.

"Piikkkachuuu!!!" Pikachu lets out a bolt of thunder at me.

"AAAGGHHH!!!" I scream as I fall of my bed.

I cough, and smoke leaves my mouth.

I quickly stand up, fully awake and glare at Pikachu.

"What was that for!?" I shout.

"Pi pikachu." Pikachu replies.

"Alright. I'll get ready." I sigh as I scratch my head.

I start walking towards the bathroom. I walk past my mirror, and catch something unusual about myself.

"Huh?" I turn back to my mirror and take a look at myself.

"Aw man." I roll my eyes once I see how I look like.

My hair is puffed up and I am covered in black soot. Must've been from Pikachu's thunderbolt. I hear Pikachu laughing to himself from my bed. I have to admit, I do look pretty funny. I look at myself one more time and laugh along with him.

I grab my towel and head to the bathroom. I was going to shower later tonight, but now I have to wash this soot off. I don't want to go to school looking like this.

I take a 15 minute shower. I get out and brush my teeth. I then put my clothes on and leave the bathroom. I see Pikachu sitting on my bed waiting for me once I enter my bedroom.

"Come on." I say as I pick up my backpack.

"Pika!" Pikachu jumps onto my shoulder and I head to the kitchen.

I eat breakfast, hug my mom goodbye and walk to the bus stop. I can see Clemont is already there.

I walk up to him and notice his pokemon, Chespin standing beside him.

"Morning." I say.

"Good morning Ash." He replies.

Pikachu jumps off my shoulder and waves to Chespin.

"Pika!"

"Ches chespin!" Chespin waves back.

I look at my phone to see what time it is. The bus is coming in 5 minutes.

I notice that Clemont's backpack is slighty larger than usual backpacks. I notice a compartment sticking out.

"Uh, Clemont? What's that on your backpack?" I ask as I look at it.

"Oh, this is one of my inventions. Watch and learn." He says.

He presses a button on his strap and a robotic arm comes out of his backpack.

"Woah...awesome!" I say with stars in my eyes.

"Hehe. It's called the Aipom Arm." He smiles.

I hear voices from behind me. I turn around and see Serena, Gary and May.

"G'morning Clemont, Ashy-boy." Gary says as he walks up beside me.

"Morning." I reply.

I don't think I can get Gary to stop this Ashy-boy thing, so I just decided to try and ignore it.

"Anyways." I say as I turn to Serena.

"Did you do the math homework?" I ask her.

"Yup." She replies.

"Do you mind helping me with mines once we get to school? I didn't quite understand it." I say as I scratch my head.

"Of course!" She smiles and winks at me.

"Thanks." I smile back.

I hear a loud motor. I turn away from Serena and look in the direction. It is the bus. We walk inside the bus and quickly sit down.

10 minutes later, we arrive at school.

I take out my phone and look at the time. Looks like I have about 30 minutes to finish my math homework.

I run up to Serena, who was talking to May.

"Serena? Math help?"

"Oh, right! Sorry May, but I have to go." She says.

"Alright. See you later!" May says as she walks to Misty and Iris.

"We can go find a spot on the field, if you want." Serena looks at me.

"Fine by me." I relpy.

We walk to a spot where there wasn't too much students. We sit down and Serena starts explaining the math problems.

"So, first you find 5 to the power of 2, then..."

I really didn't pay much attention to her. I move my head away from my paper and look at her. Her ocean blue eyes were twinkling. Her soft, honey blonde hair is flowing in the wind. She has the cutest smile. She looks so beautiful...

"Ash? Hello???" I hear her say.

"H-huh?" I shake my head and leave my thoughts.

"I called your name like, 10 times." She giggles.

"Oh sorry. I kinda dazed off." I blush slighty and scratch my head.

Phew.That was kinda embarrasing. We continue with my homework. The 30 minutes went by fast, but we managed to finish.

Serena's P.O.V.

Helping Ash was fun. Spending time with him just makes me so happy. I caught him staring at me from the corner of my eye, though. I wonder why.

I look to my left and see Miette at her locker, glaring at me. What's her problem?

She walks over to me and Ash.

"Hey Ash..." She says in a seductive tone.

"Hello." Ash replies and smiles.

I look at Miette then at Ash. What is she trying to do?

"So, I figured that since you are new, you haven't made much friends." Miette starts.

She takes out a slip of paper and a pen from her and pocket and begins writing.

"Here. That's my number. I would love hang out with you sometime." She says handing him the paper.

"Oh, sure. Thanks." Ash replies.

"Catch ya later." Miette waves and walks away.

She turns back and gives me an evil smile. I hate her so much.

"Um, Ash? Are you gonna hang with her?" I nervously look at him.

"I don't know. I've heard a few stories about her, and they all said she isn't a very good person. Maybe I will, to see if the stories are true." He looks back at me.

"O-oh, okay." I blush slighty.

Hearing Ash say he might go hang with Miette made me feel a litte jealous, especially since it is with the girl I hate.

"Talking about numbers." Ash says as he takes out his phone.

"Can I have yours?" He smiles at me.

"Oh, sure." I smile back at him, and take his phone.

I add myself to his contacts, and give his phone back to him.

"Thanks. I'll text ya later." He says.

"Hehe, alright." I reply.

The bell suddenly rings.

Ash and I begin walking to first period.

Later that day...

I walk down the hall and turn to the right. I enter my last period class, gym. It is already eigth period. The day went by so quickly.

I see Misty, May, Iris and Dawn standing together at the gymnasium. I walk over to them.

"Hello." I smile.

"Hi Serena!" Iris replies.

I glance at Ash, who is talking with his group of friends. I then look at Miette, who is most likely talking crap about the other students here with her best friend.

"Alright, listen up!" My teacher shouts.

"I hope you all bought your proper gym attire, just like I instructed yesterday. Remember, no jeans, no flip flops. Now, I want you all to change into your gym wear. Female changing rooms to the left, and males to the right. Be back here within 10 minutes." He says.

We walk to our proper changing rooms. We quickly change, and head out. My teacher leads us outside, to an open field.

"We are playing soccer. Alright, I will seperate you into teams."

"Soccer? Aw man..." May groans.

"Soccer is a fun sport." I turn to her.

"I don't think so. I'm awful at it." She says.

3 minutes have passed, and I ended up on the blue team, with Dawn, Misty, Clemont, Barry, Ash, Kenny and some other students.

My teacher blows the whistle, and people start running around the field, chasing the ball.

I see the ball nearing me. I get ready to kick it. Before I can even touch the ball, someone pushes me over and I fall to my side. I look at the person. It was none other than Miette. I see Miette guide the ball towards my team's net. She kicks, and our goalie, Kenny, makes an effort to block it, but fails.
The ball enters our net, scoring a point for the red team. I hear the red team cheer and praise Miette.

"Aw man." Misty facepalms.

"I'm sorry, the ball was too fast." Kenny sighs.

I see Ash approaching me.

"Hey. Are you okay?" He says as he extends his hand.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. I didn't fall too hard." I smile at him, and slip my hand into his.

Ash pulls me up. I notice that he put too much force into his pull, causing me to lean aganist him, into some sort of hug-like position. That was when something weird happened. As I am still leaning on Ash, I see a short flashback of the day at Proffesor Oak's Summer Camp, when I was about 7. I see a young boy helping me up, just like at this exact moment.

"Serena?" Ash says, disturbing me from my thoughts.

"Huh? Oh sorry." I say as I blush and get off him.

"Uh, it's fine. Let's um, get back to the game." He says nervously.

"Right." I reply and give a small smile.

"Erg..." Miette says as she watches from the other side of the field.

"I will not let you end up with Ash, Serena. He is mine." She clenches her fists.

The next hour was tiring. My team ended up losing the game. Later on, it was finally time to go. I walk to my bus, the driver drives me to my stop, and I get off. I walk to my house, and I am finally home. I run upstairs and jump onto my bed. I just want to rest, my side still hurts from when Miette pushed me.

I turn to the other side of my bed and think about what happened today. Why did I have a flashback of the day in summer camp? I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I closs my eyes and go over what happened.

8 years earlier...

"W-where is everybody?" I said as I walked through the forest.

"Where did you all go?"

I heard a rustle from a nearby bush.

"H-huh? Who's there?" I gulped and backed away.

"Poli!" A Poliwag jumped out of the bushes.

"AHH!!" I shouted as I fell.

The Poliwag startled me, causing me to lose balance and fall over. I looked down at my knee, which was bleeding. My eyes started to tear up.

"I knew I didn't want to come to camp..." I said as I cried.

I heard another ruslte from the bush again. I closed my eyes as I cry even more.

"Poliwag?" A boy said as he came out of the bush.

He noticed me and walk over.

"Hey..." He said.

I look up at him. He was wearing a red and yellow sleeveless shirt with blue shorts.

"I'm Ash. Why are you on the ground? What happened?" He said.

"I h-hurt my leg..." I quietly said.

"Don't worry. I know what will make it better." He said as he took out a handkercheif.

He knelt down in front of me and began wrapping it around my leg. I watched him as he did it.

"There you go!" He smiled.

"Now watch this." He said.

"Feel better, feel better right away!" He waved his hands around my knee.

"Ow...it's no use, I still can't stand up." I said as I sniffled.

"Don't give up till' it's over, kay? Now come on." He extended his hand.

I slowly lifted my hand up. He grabbed it, and pulled me up. We ended up in a hugging position, due to the amount of force he put in. I quickly got off him, and looked at him.

"You stood!" He smiled.

"Now let's go back to camp."

He then guided me all the way back to the campsite, away from the forest.

End of flashback

I open my eyes, as I finish going through the flashback. That day is so special to me. That boy was my hero. My knight in shining armour. I never did get the chance to talk to him again, because he had to leave. What did he say his name was again? I remember him saying Ash.

My eyes widen as I realize something that was so obvious. That boy from summer camp...his brown eyes and his hair. It all makes sense now. My jaw drops.

The Ash from summer camp is the same Ash that I know of today.
