Serena's P.O.V.

It is the next morning. It is the fourth day of Proffesor Sycamore's Summer Camp. My morning went normally, I took a shower, ate breakfast, and listened to Ash and Gary argue for 15 minutes.

We are outside the main building right now, waiting for Proffesor Sycamore to announce the next activity.

"I'm so tired..." I yawn.

"Did you get some sleep last night?" Ash asks.

"Not really...you were snoring right into my ear!" I pout.

"O-oh...sorry." He sweat drops. "Well, it was your decision to sleep beside me."

And of course, Gary, being his nosy self, has eavesdropped and interuped our conversation.

"You guys sleep in the same bed?" He asks out of curiosity.

"G-gary! This is none of your business!" I shout at him as my cheeks turn pink.

"Why are you even listening to our conversation?" Ash says.

"Well, you guys are standing right next to me, and it's kind of hard not to listen." He replies.

"Just mind your own business." Ash sighs.

"So wait...you guys just sleep in the same bed. Nothing more...right?" He says.

"Ehh..." Ash nervously scratches his head.

"H-huh?! What do you mean by nothing more?!" My face turns red as a tomato.

"Well, you know...well you guys sleep together, so I kind of assumed-" Gary starts.

"Gary! Whatever you are thinking, it's not what it is!" Ash says.

"Okay...whatever you say." He smirks.

Proffesor Syamore comes out of the building and walks up to the crowd of students for his announcement.

"Good morning! So...today's activity will be a Road Race!"

"Oohh! I like the sound of that!" Bonnie says.

"The rules are simple. Each team will have to race through the forest. The finish line is at the end of the forest, and whichever team makes it back first wins. But each team member needs to cross the line in order to finish the race."

"Great! This is my kind of thing!" Ash says with determination.

"I will allow the use of your pokemon to help you with this race. But I must say this. You are not permitted to use your pokemon to physically hurt others." Sycamore says.

"Alright! This makes it interesting!" Gary says.

"I will give you all 30 minutes before the race. After that, I want all teams to meet up at the start of the line. Dismissed!" Sycamore says.

"Okay team! We need to do some warm ups before the race! Let's get stretching!" Gary says and begins doing jumping jacks along with Calem, Drew and Paul.

"Umm...Clemont?" I turn to him.

"Yeah, Serena?"

"This is a race...that means running. Will you be fine?"

"Oh no...you're right. Big brother you better pick up the pace today!" Bonnie shouts at him.

"Hehehe. It seems I have good timing." He adjusts his glasses.

"What do you mean?" I say, confused.

"I worked all night on a device while you guys were sleeping. Looks like my invention will be perfect for today!" He says.

"What is it?" Ash asks.

"Introducing, the Speed-Increasing-Shoes 5000!" He takes out a pair of shoes from his backpack.

"What a name..." I sweat drop.

"At least it tells us what it does..." Bonnie sweat drops along with me.

"Woah! Science is so amazing!" Ash says with stars in his eyes.

"This device will allow me to run at the same speed you guys run at! I have tested it already, and it works, so there's no need to worry about it exploding!" Clemont says.

"As long as it won't explode, that's fine with me!" Bonnie says.

Clemont tests his invention in front of us, to prove it actually works. Luckily, it does, so Clemont's problem with running is solved for today.

The 30 minutes is finally up, and it's time for the race. Each team has gathered at the start of the line.

"Okay...seems like everyone is here." Sycamore says.

"Now time to make up for what happened yesterday." Gary positions himself.

"Heh. We are going to take first again." Ash says.

"You just got lucky yesterday. If the log hadn't been there, Drew would've been able to beat Serena."

"Or maybe Serena is just a way better Rhyhorn Racer than Drew." Ash replies.

"In your-" Gary, starts before getting cut off by Proffesor Sycamore.

"Alright! Ready....get set..."

"Got your invention all ready, big brother?" Bonnie asks.

"Yup." Clemont points to his shoes.

"Are you ready, guys?" I look down at Fennekin and Pancham.

"Fenn!"

"Cham!"

"And...go!" Sycamore blows his whistle and waves his flag.

Everyone takes off at full speed. Currently, it is hard to tell which team is in the lead. It is hard to see with all the people in front of me. The one thing I know is that our team is definitely not first.

About 20 minutes later, the path has cleared up. A few teams have fallen behind, while a few are way ahead of us. My team and I are jogging at the moment, because we have been running for quite a while now.

Surprisingly, Ash, Clemont and Bonnie isn't the only one running with me right now. We somehow ended up in the same place as the rest of our group of friends.

"Oh man...I don't think I can keep up any more..." Kenny pants.

"Come on Kenny, we need to keep going." Misty pants along with him.

"Even I can barely run anymore..." Gary wipes his sweat.

"We can use our pokemon, right?" Ash looks at me.

"Y-yeah..." I reply, out of breath.

"Okay...guys, move out of the way." Ash warns Clemont, Bonnie and I.

"Ash, what are you doing?" I question.

"Pikachu use thunderbolt on the ground!" Ash intructs.

"Pikaaachuuu!!!" Pikachu releases a bolt of electricity.

The thunderbolt hits the ground in front of Gary, Calem, Drew, Paul, Misty, Dawn, Kenny, Barry, Iris, May and Max, stopping them in their tracks.

The ground slightly cracks, preventing them from moving forward.

"What the?!" Gary looks at the ground.

"We can use pokemon." Ash smirks. "Okay, c'mon let's get moving." Ash runs away, as we follow him, leaving the others behind.

"Ash that was so cool!" Bonnie jumps.

"Y-you! I'm gonna get you back!" Gary shouts.

"Serena! I am your best friend! How dare you leave me here!" Dawn says.

"Sorry, I love you and all but we need to win this thing!" I reply.

Five minutes later, my team has now outrun the rest of our friends. They are probably still finding a way to get pass the crack Pikachu made.

All of a sudden, we hear distant footsteps coming from behind. We turn around, and it turns out to be them.

"Oh man...they caught up already?!" Ash shouts.

"We just walked around the crack." Gary shrugs.

"Go, Vanillish!" Calem throws his pokeball.

An ice cream like pokemon emerges from the pokeball.

"Use ice beam." Calem intructs.

"Vaaannnn!!!" Vanillish releases a beam of ice, freezing the ground beneath us.

The ground becomes frozen, turning it into a slippery ice rink.

"W-woah..." Ash wobbles.

Ash loses balance and falls down. Even worse, the grounds we are on right now is going downhill. Ash begins sliding down the frozen hill, bumping into my left leg, causing me to slip and fall along with him.

Bonnie and Clemont also lose balance as well, and fall with us. We slide down past Gary and the others, all the way down back to the bottom of the hill, letting them get in front of us.

"Haha! Great job, Calem!" Gary says.

"Heh. Thanks." He returns his pokemon.

"Okay, Team Cyndaquil! Let's go!" Misty and her group start running.

"Crap! They are already in front of us! Let's go!" Gary's group runs after Misty's.

"Us too!" May, Iris and Max follow them.

"Ow..." I moan.

"Big brother, get off me!!!" Bonnie cries.

Somehow, while we were sliding down the hill, Clemont has ended up on top of Bonnie.

"S-sorry..." Clemont groans.

"Erg...Calem I'm gonna get you back!!!" Ash shouts.

Suddenly, a large hot air balloon drops in front of everyone, stopping them in their tracks.

Ash, Clemont, Bonnie and I quickly get up to see what's going on.

"What's happening?" I run up to Dawn.

"I-I don't know..." Dawn replies.

2 figures show themselves from the hot air balloon. They look way older than us, probably in their early 20s.

"Who are you?" Ash questions.

A man with periwinkle colored hair jumps off the hot air balloon, followed by a woman with magenta colored hair. They stand in front of us, as we look at them, confused as to what is going on right now.

Each of them have similar outfits on, with each top containing a red 'R'.

"Who are we, you may ask?" The man says.

"Prepare for trouble!"

"And make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all people within our nation!"

"To denounce the evil of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth. That's right!" A Meowth jumps in front of them out of nowhere.

"Team Rocket?" Iris raises her eyebrow.

"Serena, stay back. There is something fishy about these guys." Ash puts his arm out in front of me.

"O-okay..." I give him a small nod and hold onto his arm.

"Am I the only one who sees the talking Meowth?" Max sweat drops.

Gary takes a step forward and begins yelling at them.

"We don't care who you guys are! Get out of the way, you are preventing us from continuing the race! All the other campers are way ahead of us now!"

"Yeah! What the hell do you guys need?!" Misty joins him.

The trio that is apparentely called 'Team Rocket' doesn't reply to Misty.

"Is silence your way of picking a fight?!" Gary puts a fist up.

"Gary, calm down." I say.

"How can I not? These weirdos just showed up for no reason whatsoever! I bet the other campers have made it to the finish line by now!" He replies.

As Gary continues to curse at Team Rocket, Clemont feels his pokeball moving around in his side pocket. He looks down, only to see the pokeball open up.

Chespin releases itself from its pokeball, curious as to what is going on.

"C-chespin!" Clemont looks down at the spiny nut pokemon. "Why'd you come out???"

"Ches!" Chespin scratches its head.

"Nene?" Dedenne pokes its head out of Bonnie's purse.

"Hey guys, go ahead do what you came here for!" Meowth says to Jessie and James.

"Right." Jessie nods. "James, go ahead."

"My pleasure." James replies as he takes out a small rectangular device and presses a red button.

Robotic arms come out of a compartment behind the hot air balloon, making their way towards us. My grip on Ash's arm tightens as I see an arm coming towards Ash and I.

Instead, the arm lowers down, grabbing Pikachu, and lifting him up into the air.

"Pika!!!" Pikachu shrieks.

"Pikachu!" Ash calls out as he watches his partner being taken away.

The arm drops Pikachu into a glass cage attached to the bottom of the hot air balloon.

Many more robotic arms make their way towards us, snatching all the pokemon in sight.

One arm makes its way towards Fennekin, getting ready to take her away. Pancham acts at the last second, and pushes Fennekin away, taking him instead.

"Panch!!!" Pancham wiggles around, trying to get away from the robotic arm.

"No, Pancham!" I put my arm out.

Pancham gets thrown into the glass cage along with Pikachu.

"W-what going on?!" Kenny says in utter shock as he watches our pokemon being taken away.

"Ches?! Chespin ches!!!!" Chespin cries, after feeling the robotic arm grab a hold of its body.

"Chespin, no!" Clemont attempts to stop the arm, but failing in doing so.

"Nenene!!!" Dedenne shrieks as it gets snatched away from Bonnie.

"Dedenne!" Bonnie cries.

"Fennekin, return!" I take out my pokeball and return Fennekin, knowing it's too dangerous to have her out here.

"That seems to be all the pokemon here." Jessie says and hops onto the hot air balloon.

"Our work here is done." James says as he follows Jessie into the balloon.

"Give our pokemon back!" Bonnie cries.

"Just what are you planning on doing with them?!" Ash rages with anger.

"We were intructed to steal any pokemon that comes to sight. We are only doing as the boss says." Meowth replies.

"That's just cruel!" I say.

"Hmp. Shut it, twerpette." James says.

"Anyhoo, let's get going." Jessie says.

"No you don't! Go, Umbreon, use shadow ball!" Gary releases his pokemon.

"Brrree!" The pokemon releases its move at the hot air balloon, only to have the shadow ball bounce back.

"What?! It didn't work?!" Gary gets taken back by surprise.

"I made our balloon so no attacks have any effects." James crosses his arms.

"Toodles!" Jessie waves.

The balloon lifts up into the air, bringing Pikachu, Fennekin and Pancham along with it.

"Pika!" Pikachu tries to break the cage.

"Fenn!" Fennekin cries.

"Ches!!!" Chespin calls out.

"Nene!" Dedenne starts tearing up.

Ash runs up to the balloon. He jumps grabs a hold of the cage.

"I-I won't let you get away!" He grunts.

Clemont notices what Ash is doing, and runs after him and holds onto his leg.

"I'll help you hold them down!" He says.

"We should help too!" I turn to Bonnie.

"Yeah!" She nods.

As Ash and Clemont get lifted up into the sky along with the balloon, I grab onto Clemont's leg just in time, while Bonnie grabs onto mines.

We begin lifting up into the air at full speed, leaving the ground. Gary tries to get a hold of Bonnie's leg, but fails, because we are already out of reach.

"Twerps! Let go!" Jessie shouts at us.

"No! Not until we rescue our pokemon!" Ash replies, struggling to keep his grip on the cage. He is carrying the weights of Clemont, Bonnie and I, after all.

"Ash!" Calem calls out in worry from the ground.

"Oh my arceus..." Dawn panics as she watches us.

Suddenly, a hole appears on the hot air balloon. The balloon begins losing air, and starts going out of control. It moves like crazy, going in random circles, dragging us along with it.

"W-woah!!!" Ash shouts.

"AAAGHHHH! SAVE US ARCEUS!!!" Clemont closes his eyes and tightens his grip on Ash's leg.

"Bonnie! Don't let go!" I look down, to see the blonde on the verge of tears.

"O-okay!" She cries as the balloon tosses and turns in the sky.

"James! You said this balloon was invincible!" Jessie takes him by his collar and shakes him.

"I- I swear I made it like that!" He replies.

"Well it doesn't look like it!" Meowth holds onto the edge of the balloon, trying not to fly off.

First, Jessie, James and Meowth fly out of the balloon, and gets tossed into the sky.

"We're blasting off again!" They say in unsion and disappear.

The balloon flys off into a different area of the forest, away from Gary and the others. The balloon explodes, causing Ash to lose grip of the cage. The four of us begin falling to the ground in different directions.

Then everything goes black.
