Serena's P.O.V.

It is early in the morning. Everyone in my cabin is not awake yet. I have just finished my morning shower not too long ago.

I get out of the shower and dry myself up. I slip on my clothes and afterwards look at myself in the mirror. I take a brush and comb my wet hair.

I would use my blow dryer to dry my hair, but everyone is still asleep, and I don't want to wake them up. Looks like I am drying my hair naturally today.

I take my belongings and leave the bathroom. I take a look at Ash, then Bonnie, and Clemont. Yup, they are still asleep.

Fennekin and Pancham sit on my bed, awaiting my return. I take a seat beside them, and place my stuff on the corner of my bed.

I haven't slept on this bed since the first day, since I have been sleeping with Ash. Therefore, I just use this bed to keep all my things at.

I lean on the wall as I sit on my bed. What am I supposed to do until they wake up? I can't really do anything. Or maybe...

"Hey, do you guys want to go outside for a walk?" I look at Fennekin and Pancham.

"Kenn!" Fennekin nods.

"Cham!" Pancham jumps off the bed, and makes its way to the door.

I open the door, and step outside. I look at the ocean view right in front of our cabin. It looks so beautiful with the sunrise.

I start strolling around the camp. Very few people are out, the majority are still fast asleep. For once, the camp is quiet, besides the sound of my footsteps and the distant voices of the people who are awake as well.

I walk past Team Cyndaquil's cabin, which is not far from ours. Right when I am about to leave, the door to their cabin opens up and someone comes out. Dawn.

"Oh, Serena! What are you doing here?" She walks up to me.

"Just taking a walk."

"Why are you up this early?"

"I had to take my shower, but afterwards no one was awake yet so I came out here." I reply.

"I see. Well, I came out here for some fresh air, and ran into you doing so. Here, come in!" She takes my wrist and brings me into her cabin.

I enter the cabin with Dawn. I find Misty sitting on her bed with her phone on hand, Kenny digging through his backpack and Barry eating a pack of chips.

"Yo, Serena!" Barry waves.

"Serena? Oh my, you are here!" Misty gets up.

"Hi." I smile.

"What are you doing here?" Kenny asks.

"Well, Dawn brought me, so here I am." I reply.

"I just ran into her outside." Dawn says.

I walk further into their cabin and sit on the corner of Misty's bed, followed by Fennekin and Pancham.

"Do you guys normally wake up this early?" I glance at the clock, which reads 8:29am.

"Yeah. We need to be prepared and all ready for the day." Dawn replies.

"Wow. My cabin is still fast asleep." I sweat drop.

"Anyways, what do you think the next activity for today is?" Barry says.

"I don't know. Anything is fine, just make sure it doesn't have anything to do with bug pokemon." Misty shudders.

"There you go, with your fear of bug types." I giggle.

"It's not funny! I hate them, they are so gross!"

"You are afraid of bug types?" Barry smirks.
"Well, in that case...go, Heracross!" He takes out his pokeball.

"What are you doing?" Misty raises her eyebrow.

Heracross comes out of Barry's pokeball.

"Cro!" It says as it stretches its wings.

"B-B-BUG!!!" Misty jumps and gets behind me.

Heracross tilts its head, confused as to why Misty is hiding from it.

"Misty...it's not a scary pokemon." I sweat drop.

"YES IT IS! BARRY GET IT AWAY OR I'LL KILL YOU!" Her grip on my shoulders tighten, causing me to wince.

"C'mon, Heracross just wants to be friends." Barry pets the pokemon's head.

"BARRY!" Misty gives him a death glare.

"O-okay...f-fine...." Barry gulps and returns his pokemon.

Whenever Misty gives a glare like that, that's when you know you are in big trouble.

"Erg...I'm going to kill you!" Misty gets away from me and makes her way to Barry.

"I-I'm sorry! I won't do it again! Please let me live!" Barry runs out the door, followed my Misty.

"Okay then..." Kenny sweat drops as he watches the two run chase eachother around the camp.

I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I take it out, and find that someone has messaged me. I open it up, and it turns out to be Ash.

"Serena where are you???"

As I am about to reply, my phone vibrates a second time with two more messages from him.

"Why did you leave?"

"Are you okay?"

I type my reply to him.

"Yeah I'm fine. I'll be there in a sec."

I slip my phone back into my pocket and get up from Misty's bed.

"I got to go. It seems my cabin is awake now."

"Okay, see ya girly!" Dawn waves.

"Bye!" I open the door and leave.

It doesn't take long until I reach my cabin. I step inside, only to be tackled into a hug by Ash.

"A-ash?"

I take a look at Clemont, who gives me a shrug.

"What's happening?" I break away from Ash.

"Sorry...I just thought something bad happened." Ash says.

"Bad? I just went out for a walk." I reply.

"Oh... I-I just got worried to see you gone when I woke up."

"Well, there wasn't anything to be worried about from the start. But, it's nice to see you care for me. Thanks." I give him a short kiss.

"Yeah...no prob." He scratches his head as his cheeks turn pink.

"Ooohh! Ash and Serena sitting in a tree! K-i-s-s-i-n-g!" Bonnie chants.

"Bonnie!" Clemont glares at her.

"Alright, fine. I'll stop." She giggles.

"Anyways..." Ash sweat drops. "Let's go. We don't have much time till' the next activity starts."

We head out into the main building for breakfast. After that, we go back outside for the next activity.

"Welcome to the third day of my summer camp! Today will be blast, just like the last ones!" Sycamore says.

"I'm pumped!" Ash jumps.

"Please be a battle, please be a battle." Gary repeats to himself.

"Today's activity will be....Rhyhorn Racing!" Sycamore says.

"Aw man. No battle..." Gary pouts.

"The race track will be held in the forest. You will go through it, and return to cross the finish line. Here is how this will work. Each team will pick a member to start with. There will be four laps for this race. The first member will go around the track for the first lap, afterwards switching with the next member for the second lap, and so on until all four laps are completed. Teams with only three people, someone will have to go twice."

"That means us..." May says.

"Yeah, I'll go twice." Iris replies.

"Okay!" Max nods.

"There will be one hour before the race starts. During this hour, for those who don't know how to ride Rhyhorn will learn at the pen over there." Sycamore points to a fenced area containing many Rhyhorn. "And with that, let the third day begin!"

Everyone makes their way to the Rhyhorn pen. Each team examines each Rhyhorn carefully, deciding which one to pick as their Rhyhorn for the day.

"Which one will be the lucky Rhyhorn?" Ash looks around.

"They are all so cute!" Bonnie says as her eyes turn into hearts.

"I don't think cuteness is what matters right now..." Clemont sweat drops.

"I think we should pick this one." I say as I kneel in front of the Rhyhorn not too far away from me.

"This one? You sure this is a good Rhyhorn?" Ash walks up beside me.

"Yeah! I can tell this Rhyhorn is gentle, and friendly!" I pet its head.

"Really? Okay, then. Hey Rhyhorn. We are Team Froakie, and we choose you!" Ash smiles.

"Rhy!" The Rhyhorn nods, agreeing to support our team.

As I am about to say something, Gary comes and butts in.

"So you guys have found one, huh."

"Yeah. Have you?" Clemont questions.

"Yup. And you are going to lose." Gary says.

"We happen to have the daughter of the famous Rhyhorn Racer, Grace." Ash puts his arm around me. "We can't lose."

"Hmp. So what, she has the Rhyhorn Racing blood in her. That doesn't mean anything." Gary smirks.

"I'm sure we can win, right, Serena?" Ash looks at me.

"I-I guess...yeah." I reply.

I am not too sure if I can pull this off, to be honest. I never really liked Rhyhorn Racing, so I haven't done a lot of training. But I do know the basics, so I guess we should be fine.

"Whatever. See ya." Gary turns around and walks away.

"Okay! Serena, teach us how to ride Rhyhorn!" Ash says.

"Umm...I-I don't know if I can..."

"C'mon! You are the only one here who knows how! Then there's us, who haven't rode Rhyhorn before!" Ash says.

"Alright then. So here is how it goes."

We spend the next hour practicing for the race. Once I got on the Rhyhorn, everything came back to me. The days my mom trained me for this. After a while, I got the hang of Rhyhorn Racing again.

Ash had trouble at first. He couldn't even get on the Rhyhorn. I got to admit, that was pretty funny. He got on eventually, though. I taught him how to make the Rhyhorn move, but everytime he'd try, the Rhyhorn would only throw him back onto the ground. Finally, he got the hang of it after many tries.

Clemont on the other hand doesn't seem to like riding Rhyhorn at all. He can ride the Rhyhorn perfectly fine, it's just that he's too scared. Everytime the Rhyhorn would move, he'd freak out.

Bonnie surprised me. She learned the fastest out of the two guys. She can ride Rhyhorn with no problem. She's quite different from Clemont.

The hour has passed, and everyone is now gathering at the start of the race course. The order we have decided to go in is first Ash, then Bonnie, then Clemont and finally, me.

"Okay...let's do this!" Ash adjusts his helmet.

"Pika!" Pikachu jumps as it sits on Rhyhorn's head.

"On your mark!" Sycamore starts.

"Hold on Pikachu." Ash says.

Pikachu nods and holds onto Rhyhorn's horn.

"Good luck, Ash!" I wink at him.

"Thanks!" He gives me a thumbs up.

"Get set...go!!!" Sycamore blows his whistle and waves the flag in his hand.

The Rhyhorn racers get going, disapearing into the forest. There are many TV projections around the camp, so we can watch what is happening.

Luckily, Ash is in third place. In front of him is Gary, and in front of Gary is some other kid from a different school.

"Rhyhorn...let's do this." Ash bends down and looks at Rhyhorn.

"Rhy!" Rhyhorn picks up its speed.

Bonnie, Clemont and I watch them through the projections. All of a sudden, Gary picks up the speed and outruns Ash.

"Oh no..." Clemont gulps.

"C'mon, Ash!" Bonnie cheers him on.

10 minutes later, a few racers have made it back to camp. They switch with the next member, and go on again for the second lap. Gary returns, quickly hopping off the Rhyhorn. Paul climbs on, and goes for the second lap.

"Where's Ash?!" Clemont panicks.

"People are already on their second lap!" Bonnie says, awaiting Ash for her turn.

"There!" I point to the forest, to see Ash returning.

"I'm back! Okay, c'mon Bonnie! Go get em!" Ash gets off and lifts Bonnie onto the Rhyhorn.

"Yeah!" Bonnie storms off for our second lap.

"How was it?" I turn to Ash.

"It was alright. There were many racers trying to get in front of me, but I managed to hold em off." He replies.

Bonnie soon returns, but unable to get in front of Paul. Paul has already returned before her though, with Calem going next.

"Big brother, don't upset us!" Bonnie shouts at him.

"Third lap! Good luck, Clemont!" Ash says.

"I-I'll try my best!" Clemont holds onto Rhyhorn and goes off into the forest.

"Your next, Serena." Ash looks at me.

"Yeah..." I nod.

A few moments later, surprisingly, Clemont returns before Calem. I stare at him wide eyed.

"H-how..." My jaw drops.

"Calem somehow lost control and fell off his Rhyhorn, allowing me to get in front of him." Clemont scratches his head.

"Haha, sucks for him." Ash laughs.

As I am about to get on the Rhyhorn, Ash puts his hand on my shoulder, stopping me.

"Show them what the daughter of a Rhyhorn Racer can do!"

"Yeah!" I give him a smile.

I jump onto the Rhyhorn and run off into the forest. It's the last lap, so whatever place I come in is the final place for our team. Currently, I am in second place, so I guess that's a good thing.

Five minutes later, the person in first place comes into sight. My eyes widen as I see the person. Miette.

I take a look behind me, to see Drew and Misty fighting for third place, and Iris not too far behind them.

"Get out of the way!" Misty shouts at Drew.

"Shut up! Your team is nothing compared to Team Charmander!" Drew shouts back.

Misty looks in front of her and evily smiles.

"Hey umm...you may want to watch out." Misty looks at Drew.

Drew looks in front of him and sees a log right in front of him.

"Oh sh-" Drew trys to dodge it, but ends up running into it and flying off of the course onto the grass.

"See ya!" Misty waves, running past him, taking third place.

Iris runs pass him as well, taking fourth place.

"Agh...ow..." Drew groans.

We are nearing the finish line, and I have now caught up with Miette.

"You brat! First place is mine!" Miette shouts.

"No way, Miette!" I reply.

"Oh, yes way!" She bumps into me, causing me to lose my grip and almost fall off.

"N-nice try...but I won't let you!" I regain my balance.

"Erg..." Miette grits her teeth.

"Rhyhorn! We can do this!" I say.

Ryhorn looks at me, and looks back at the course. It has felt my determination and my strong will to beat Miette. The finish line is right there. A few more steps before we cross. Rhyhorn uses the last of its strength to pick up the pace. It speeds past Miette. We cross the finish line, finishing in first.

"What?!" Miette says in shock.

Rhyhorn comes to a stop. I hop off the Rhyhorn and see Ash, Clemont and Bonnie making their way towards me.

"We got first place!" I jump.

Ash tackles me into a hug, causing me to lose my balance and almost fall, but I'm held back up by his arms. Clemont and Bonnie follow him, turning it into a group hug.

"And here we have it! In third place, we have Team Cyndaquil, in second we have Team Chikorita and in first place...Team Froakie!" Sycamore says.

"That's my girl! You did it!" Ash says.

"You did great!" Clemont adds.

"Yay!" Bonnie jumps.

"Hehe. Thanks, guys." I reply.

Team Cyndaquil, Snivy and Charmander reunite with us.

"First place, huh. You guys did great, but first place tommorow will be ours!" Misty says.

"Aw man...I can't believe we fell to fifth place." Calem pouts.

"Yeah, thanks, Drew." Gary crosses his arms.

"I'm sorry! I didn't see the log!" Drew says.

"Yeah yeah." Gary rolls his eyes.

We talk and hang until it is evening. All 15 of us decided to go to the campfire before heading to bed. Right now, we are sitting on logs surronding the campfire. I am sharing a blanket with Ash, because it can get really chilly in the night time.

"You cannot go to a summer camp without having a campfire." May says as she roasts a marshmallow.

"What about a song? You always have to sing some tunes during a campfire." Iris suggests.

"Lets gather around the campfire and sing our campfire song. Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song!!!" Barry sings.

"Barry, no." Gary stops him.

"You don't like it?" Barry looks at him.

"I-I...well....no." Gary scratches his head.

"Hmp. Fine." Barry pouts.

"Hehe. C'mon sing another one." I giggle.

"Okay...let's see." Barry thinks.

We spend the next 30 minutes around the campfire. Barry has sung stupid songs the entire time, but is was fun. Later on, we head back to our cabins to call it night.
