Ash's P.O.V.

I continued down the road, on my way to the bus stop. It was a crisp autumn day, unlike the sweaty hot days we were so accustomed to before school. I looked around me as i walked, observing the new town. It looked like a good enough town, medium sized houses, gardens, and a park. I kept walking when my silent thoughts were disrupted.

I saw a kid in a purple pullover run up to me. He had brown spiky hair and jeans. He was slightly larger than I, and wore high top sneakers. "Yo! Hey kid, wait up!" He yelled as he ran up behind me.

"Uhh hi there." I squeaked out. I didn't have an idea about making friends this early, I was never good at socializing back at my old school. My only real friends were my Pokemon.

"You have the distinct privilege of living next to THE Gary Oak."

Man, this kid reeks of ego and self confidence. Other than that, he doesn't seem that bad.

"Okay... I'm Ash Ketchum! I moved here from a small town in Indiana called Roanoke.

"Hold on! Roanoke? That's where my gramps was from before he got the teaching job here!"

Well, at least I've met someone I have something in common with.

"Really? That's pretty awesome! I'm looking forward to meeting him."

We kept walking and made it to the end of the street, where the bus stop was. There was three other kids there.

A girl, she had red hair and wore a yellow tank top and jean shorts.

There was another boy, he had red hair as well, but lighter. He had a green and white shirt that fit him almost like a sports jersey.

Finally, there was a second girl. She had brown hair hanging down from underneath her red bandana. She had a red shirt and jean shorts. I hate to say it, but she was cute.

"Hey gang!" Gary exclaimed as he approached them. "Meet ash Ketchum!" Pointing to me.

"Hey there bro! Names Kenny!" He seems nice, maybe an athletic type.

"Yea hey. I'm Misty." Said the red haired girl. She had a slightly snarky tone, but I let it slide. I didn't want trouble with this girl.

"Hey there! I'm may." The girl in the bandana said as she gave a wink.

We all talked of what we did over the summer, and about Indiana. I think I have them all pinned now, Misty is a little hot headed but a gods person overall. Gary had a large ego, and looked to be athletic. Kenny also appeared athletic, just replace the ego with kindness. Lastly, that girl May was sweet and funny, but a little dim.

As the bus pulled up we all boarded and made our way to our seats. Gary joined me and we talked about our houses and the school.

Before I knew it we were pulling into the school building. It was so much bigger than any building in Roanoke. Seeing so many kids in one place was also a shock to me. I was used to classes only having  a couple kids back in Town. This is gonna be one hell of an adjustment.
