Ash's Pov

Math class is so boring that all of my thoughts aren't on my the lesson, but on the situation with Gary.

I still can't believe that Serena of all people would tell me I should do this for Gary. I'm pretty sure this girl is just playing him anyway, but if he really likes her maybe it is worth it. I decided to hide it in my backpack so I'd know where it is at all times. The last thing I need is my mom thinking that it's mine.

It's been a few days and Gary is supposed to take it back soon, so I'm hoping to get this thing out of my house.

"BEEEEEEP!" The bell rang, and everyone rushed out the door.

I was knocked to the ground by a group of kids that were rushing to the busses, and the contents of my bag were flung across the floor. A few people stopped to help me, but I really wished they didn't. I scrambled around searching for the "thing" but couldn't find it. Everything else had been picked up and put in my bag, and I flung around to see someone was holding it.

None other than Meitte was holding it and giggling. She held it out to me and hid her blush. This was just what I needed.

I ran off and tried to hide it in my pocket. Gary was going to get it when I see him.

The rest of the day went by fast, and I was happy for that. I needed to talk to Serena about this anyway.

I got home and threw my bag in my room, my mom wouldn't be home for awhile anyway. I ran over to Serena's house to talk about this incident, and knocked on the door.

"Hey ash, what's up?" Serena pulled down her sweater.

"I had a terrible day. I'm going to kill Gary."

Serena could just tell how annoyed I was. We went up to her room to watch tv and talk about what happened. She started rubbing my shoulders and asked me what was wrong.

"Well, I fell over and all of the shit in my bag fell out."

"Oh God, even -"

"Yes. And Meitte picked it up." I leaned back and let out a heavy breath.

"That's going to cause some trouble." Serena was surprisingly calm.

"Thank god I have you, Gary would be dead right now."

We spent the next few hours relaxing, and I had to head home for dinner. I made my way home to see my mom in the kitchen cooking. I guess she didn't find it.
