Welcome to the first review!

This time I'll be reviewing a book by gamerkitty6274 called Star Flower

I'm just going to say that you should probably read the actual book before my review if you want the full experience.

Anyway, let's start!

I caught few to none grammar errors! That's a +1 already. It's my number one pet peeve when the grammar is all over the place.

Now to the actual story.

I'm not going to take the time to explain what it's about and where it takes place so you really should read the book before the review.

On the positive side, the writing is really solid. The words that were chosen in each sentence were perfect for the moment. Another thing that I really enjoyed was how perfect the length of the story was. I find it hard to stay hooked to a book with either a lot of chapters (Destiny Rebirth) or a story with incredibly long chapters (also Destiny Rebirth.) Four chapters was the perfect amount of time. The story moved at a great pace and wasn't too slow or fast. I would also say that the story itself is pretty competent. It's not very cliché.

Now the negatives. I gotta be honest. I was incredibly surprised as how dark and mean everyone was in this book, including Dawn. Done with any original or fitting characters, I probably would've enjoyed this more, but I just don't like seeing characters being mis-portrayed. Ash and Serena would never act that mean in my opinon, and I'm sorta confused about Calem in the story as well. Basically the story was good, but the portrayal of the charaters were waaayy off.

Thanks for the request. I'd like to remind people that this is my opinion, and that when I read a story I try look for the positives more than the negatives. With that said, you should totally check it out if haven't already. gamerkitty6274 is a pretty good writer, and has some more stuff as well.
