Jennifer was running towards the Pokemon gym when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her.

"Jennifer, wait for me!"

She turned around to see Diamond running her way, waving and started to slow down.

"Diamond, are you done training for tomorrow?" Jennifer asked as Diamond caught up with her.

"No, I decided to meet up with you for your gym battle," Diamond replied."I train some more after; by the way, where is Starla?"

"Starla, in her Pokeball, calming down she, tried to attack a boy, thinking he was hurting Starfire," Jennifer replied as she picked up her walking slightly.

"Really, why would she think that?" Diamond asked, looking at Jennifer.

"He was treating Starfire after she got hurt, sneaking off and pulling pranks on Mysmo and Rattata," Jennifer said.

"Ah, poor Starfire, she should be more careful, but I get it Starla was hurt badly by hunters. No wonder she was aggressive," Diamond commented.

"True if I see the boy later, I apologize for Starla's behavior," She said.

"And learn his name," Diamond said, laughing.

"Yeah, that too," Jennifer said, waving her hand.

Diamond smiled at Jennifer's behavior, seeing she was more interested in the gym than the boy's name.

'She is a fascinating person. Her personality is so friendly and excited about battles. I wonder what else she enjoys. Traveling with her was a good choice.' Diamond thought, looking at Jennifer, happy about her decision to travel with Jennifer.

Jennifer and Diamond's eyes trailed the beautiful sight of the large building with glass doors and a fountain in the front near the left of the entrance.

"Wow, this building is massive and looks almost like an aquarium," Diamond stated."Sure, this is the gym?" She asked.

"Yeah, he said it was," Jennifer said, recalling the boy's words, and looked at the sign."It has a gym and an aquarium. It looks like," She said, reading the sign."

"If you say so, let's go inside and check," Diamond said.

"Right," Jennifer said, opening the door and was greeted by a blast of cool air and noticed a lady with brown hair at the front desk.

"Hello, girls; how can I help you today?" The young lady asked.

"I came here to challenge the gym leader," Jennifer replied.

"Alright, he's in the far back of the aquarium where there is a large black double door," The gym is right back there, and so is the gum leader Marius."

"Thank you," Jennifer said with a nod.

"Hey Jennifer, why don't I hold onto your egg," Diamond said.

"Thank you, Diamond. That would be great," Jennifer said, giving her incubator to Diamond.

"You're welcome," Diamond said.

Jennifer and Diamond then started walking towards the back, where the lady at the front desk directed them to go.

"Hello! Is anyone here?" Jennifer called out as she entered a large room with a pool with white platforms on the ends of it.

"She said the gym leader was back here," Diamond said, looking around.

"Hello, I'm Jennifer Sinmons from Dusk Town; And I challenge the gym leader to a battle!" Jennifer called out.

Suddenly footsteps were heard from the other side of the pool. Jennifer then saw a tall, slender pale white man with shoulder-length light blonde hair that curled up around the front of his face and sky-blue eyes. He was wearing a high collar dark blue jacket over a black shirt and fancy white pants, and black sneakers.

"So you're my challenger?" He asked, examining Jennifer.

"Yes. I am," Jennifer replied with a determined expression on her face.

"I admit that you have spirit. However, you won't beat me easily. I might not have made it to  Elite four-level as my older brother in the Kalos region, but I'm still a strong trainer," He said with narrow eyes.

"We see what you have to say after the battle," Jennifer said."If you are not afraid to lose," She mocked.

"Jen, what are you doing?" Diamond asked.

"I'm showing him that im, not some weakling rookie trainer," Jen replied.

"You have guts, Jennifer. I give you that much," He nodded as an eighteen-year-old man with spiky red hair walked over to stand by the side of the pool.

Diamond walked over to sit in the seats on the side to watch the gym match.

"This will be a two on two battle between Marius, the Gym leader, and the challenger Jennifer Simmons. Only the challenger is allowed substitutions. The battle is over when either side's Pokemon are unable to battle," The referee announced.

"Ready when you are," Jennifer said as she put a hand on her belt, reaching for a Pokeball.

"Alright. I will send out my Pokemon first. Go, Cyndaquil!" Marius exclaimed, throwing a Pokeball.

A tiny bipedal mammalian Pokemon with dark blue fu on top of its body and teal-colored fur on its underside came out and landed on the platform. Its eyes were closed, and it had a long snout. Its arms were short, but its legs were more slightly developed with small flippers. On its back, instead of flames, it had blue water coming from its back with a hint of white.

Jennifer immediately took out her pokedex and scanned the Pokemon.

"Solan Cyndaquil, The Aqua Mouse Pokemon. A water type. These Cyndaquil once made their homes in grassland or caves, but after their homes were overrun, they were forced to escape by sea. They then adapted to swim through the water, taking on features of a water type. Instead of flames, their back releases water to help keep them cool."

"Alright, Sage, I Choose you!" Jennifer smiled, sending out Treecoon.

"Tree!" Sage cried out, landing on the platform.

"You made an excellent choice in a grass type but don't expect to win just because you have a grass type," Marius stated.

"I know that, Marius, don't doubt me as if I don't have a plan," Jennifer replied."Sage Grass Whistle!" She commanded.

"Cyndaquil dive!" Marius called out.

"Since Cyndaquil is underwater, now the chance Grassy Dance!" Jennifer shouted.

Sage's body started glowing bright green and yellow as he started dancing and waving his arms around as he spun around. Marius was hesitant to call out Cyndaquil as the sound of the grass whistle was still faintly heard in the air, but Sage was freely setting up his power.

"It's all or nothing! Cyndaquil, use Hidden Power!" Marius called out.

Cyndaquil then jumped out of the were and summoned a powerful energy, and released multiple bright round white balls, aiming them at Sage.

"Dodge it!" Jennifer called out, lifting her arm in the air."Then Bullet Seed!"

Sage jumped from side to side on the platform dodging the incoming glowing balls. He then aimed Bullet seed straight at Cyndaquil, sending it back.

"Wow! That Sage really is something. Jennifer sure wasn't wasting her time training," Diamond said with a giant smile on her face.

"I say," A voice said, getting her attention.

Diamond turned to her right to see a pink hair girl next to her, along with the famous Ash Ketchum on the girl's left.

'No way this girl knows Ash Ketchum, but more importantly, where she come from.' Diamond thought, surprised by the girl's appearance.

"Don't stare it rude," A voice said to her left.

Diamond turned to see Roy sitting next to her with his Solan Aipom on his shoulder.

"Oh, be quiet," Diamond sighed, wondering where they came from.

"I got to admit, Jennifer. You are really a good trainer, but that doesn't mean you will win my gym badge! Cyndaquil Crush Claw!" Marius commanded.

"Sage, jump high in the air and use Vine Whip to stop it!" Jennifer shouted.

"Tree!" Sage let out a loud cry as he jumped into the air and released vines from his shoulders, and lifted Cyndaquil's body in the air.

"Now end this with a toss in the air and Bullet Seed!" Jennifer said.

Mauris narrowed his eyes as Sage got ready to toss Cyndaquil and knew there was only one option left to stop Sage. He knew ot was a risky move, but it was the only option.

"I know this move will hurt. But we have no choice. Cyndaquil Raging Water!"

Jennifer's eyes widened at as she watched in fear. Cyndaquil uttered a loud cry as a massive blast of water erupted from its back, catching Sage on it. A massive explosion of smoke cleared the battlefield; it started to clear up after a couple of minutes to see both pokemon sent flying back and crashing onto platforms, knocked out.

"Sage, no!" Jennifer screamed, kneeling down near the platform and holding out a Pokeball."You did a good job. Get some rest," She said, returning Sage back to her Pokeball.

Marius smiled at Jennifer, seeing the way she cared about where Pokemon was. He returned Cyndaquil and got ready to send out his next Pokemon.

"Poor Sage, he with down and after putting up a great fight," Blossom said softly.

"Yeah, but Treecoon was something alright. Taking on an opponent that had the advantage of the pool but pushing his opponent to the bank of defeat despite not being able to move well on this battlefield is something not many trainers can do," Ash commented.

"Can Jen still win this?" Diamond asked.

"Of course, she will win. I'm sure of it; Jenny's battle skill is like one other she is brilliant, and I believe that's why Dmaon is always mocking her out of jealousy," Roy said confidently.

"Of you say so," Diamond said.

"That was a good match, Jennifer. I can say that you trained Treecoon well. Now im going to respond with my true power! No holding back!" Marius declared.

He took out a Pokeball and threw it into the water with all his might.

"Bea!" A long buff body bipedal reptile Pokemon with grey scales and dark blue spikes sticking out of its back and around its head, it had sharp claws and sharp sinister red eyes that cried out loudly as it appeared in the water.

(I didn't make the picture, but a friend of mine did)

"A Beaquat!" Jennifer exclaimed at the sight of the sinister Pokemon.
