Chapter 10: New Faces & Final Training Touches
The following day Jennifer woke up to see Starla curled up, sleeping at the foot of the bed. She smiled softly as she rubbed behind Starla's ear, making her twitch her leg slightly.
"I hope you're ready for today Starla," Jennifer said softly as she climbed out of bed and headed to the bathroom to get ready.
After an excellent refreshing warm ten minutes shower, Jennifer walked out of the bathroom wearing his usual grey jacket over her dark green shirt that had a Pokeball logo on it. She had a lot of green shirts, with it being her favorite color.
"Meow," Starla cried out, opening her eyes to see Jennifer wearing her black boots.
"Morning, Starla, time for breakfast, and then we need to get more training in with Sage," She said, looking over at Starla.
"Meowth," Starla cried out, sitting up and pointing at the nightstands where the egg was.
"I haven't forgotten I'm taking it with me," Jennifer said, picking up the egg."I leave a note letting Diamond know that we are heading out to train after breakfast," She said, pulling out a small card from her bag with her free hand and writing a quick message.
"Meow," Starls cried out, rolling her eyes as she jumped off the bed and started walking towards the door.
"Come, Starla. She is our new friend. Try to get to know her before you judge," Jennifer said, petting Starla's head before opening the door and walking out of the room to grab breakfast.

Jennifer was now sitting in the cafeteria of the Pokemon Center, eating bacon and French toast with a cup of Pinap berry juice. Starla, Ace, Sage, and Starfire we're all eating a nice bowl of Pokemon food with berries mixed in it from the Pokemon Center for extra nutrients.
"Sage and Starla ratio because we got training for the gym," Jenifer said, looking over at her new grass-type Raccon and Starla."You're my best bet for the water-type gym. Star fire is weak to water and doesn't have much coverage for water types, and Ace will be slowed down if his wings get drenched. He could stay a chance if we work on his speed to dodge," She said, looking over at Ace playing with his wings.
"Excuse me," an incredibly soft voice said from her behind her seat, gaining her attention.
Jennifer turned around to see a ten-year-old girl with fair skin, bright blue eyes, and short light pink hair. She had on a sleeveless light blue shirt, pink pants, dark green boots, and a teal bow in her hair. She also had on long gray gloves.
"Hello," Jenifer greeted.
"Meowth," Starla cried out, glaring at the unknown girl.
"Uh," The girl said, backing up slightly from Starla's glare.
"Starla, chill," Jennifer said, stroking Starla as she picked her up."Sorry, she has trust issues," She apologized.
"Oh, I understand. My name is Blossom Summers," The girl said quietly.
"Name Jennifer," Jennifer greeted.
"Jennifer, are you here for a Gym battle or the Pokemon Contest tomorrow?" Blossom asked, playing with her hands.
"I'm here for the gym battle, but my friend Diamon is entering the Pokemon Contest," Jennifer said as Starla growled and jumped out of her arms."Chill and go eat," She said.
"Same I, uh, came here from Kanto with my mentor for the Sola League," Blossom said, pointing over at a tall young man with tan skin and spiky black hair wearing a white hat, red jacket, and grey shirt on the floor eating was a Pikachu.
"He looks sort of familiar," Jennifer commented, looking at the young man with narrowed eyes.
"It was Ash Ketchum, the winner of the World Coronation Series five years ago," Blossom replied.
"I remember watching that he inspired me to enter the Sola League after moving here instead of taking my mother's Pokemon Contest route," Jennifer said, remembering watching the matches with her mom and dad."So why did you ask about my gym battle?"
"Well, uh," Blossom started."Never mind, nice meeting you," She said taking off.
'She seems to be nervous about something.' Jennifer thought, watching Blossom sit down across from Ash.
"Let's go," Jennifer said, standing on up and tossing away her trash and putting her tray with the other dirty trays, before heading off to train with her Pokemon.

Jennifer and her Pokemon were now gathered in an excellent open field with her Pokemon.
"Alright, Sage, start things off with Bullet Seed!" Jennifer commanded.
Sage opened his out and fired golden seeds toward Starla.
"Starla, dodge it and then use Fury Swipes!"
"Meow!" Starla cried out, jumping back and avoiding the bullet seed. She then ran forward be swipe her claws at Sage's face multiple times.
"Sage, shake it off and use Vine Whip!"
"Treecoon!" Sage cried out as vines shot out from his shoulders and lifted Starla into the air.
"Starla, break free with Bite!"
"Meow!" Starla cried out, clamping her teeth onto the vines and ripping herself free.
"Got you," Jennifer said, catching Starla in her arms as she fell from the air after freeing herself.
"Meowth," Starla cried out, getting down from Jennifer's arms.
"Alright, be that way," Jennifer said with a sigh at Starla's behavior.
Jennifer continued t train with her Pokemon for a couple of hours until she heard a loud and familiar cry.
"Fla!"
"Huh?" Jennifer questioned, looking around and noticing Starfire was missing her spot under the tree where Ace was cleaning her wings and where the egg was resting under the tree."Hey Ace, we're Starfire?" She asked, worried.
"Cro!" Ace cried out, pointing her wing to the left.
"Come on; I think Starfire hurt!" Jennifer exclaimed, running in the direction of the cry.
She finally reached an alleyway after fifteen minutes of running from the open field she was training in. She saw a lean and nicely developed boy taller than her, who seemed to be 12 years old, with blonde hair and ocean-blue eyes. He was kneeling down next to Starfire, wrapping a bandage around her paw.
"Starfire!" Jennifer exclaimed, rushing over towards Flavhb and putting down her egg."What happened?" She asked, gently touching Starfire's head.
"Fla, "Starfire whimpered.
"She your Flacub then?" The boy said.
"Yes, what happened to her?"
"Your Flacub ticked off a split group of Mysmo and Rattata with her pranking," He replied, fighting the bandages.
"Starfire piece of advice, not all people and Pokemon take pranks lightly," Jennifer commented."So despite the prank nature of Flacub, be careful about who you prank."
"Meowth!" Starla growled, walking in front of Jennifer and glaring at the boy.
"Starla, stop!" She commanded, petting her ear.
"Meow!" Starla snapped, smacking away Jennifer's hand and getting ready to claw at the boy's hand, touching Starfire.
"Starla, return," She said, returning Starla before she landed the attack."Thanks for treating her. Do you, by chance, know where the gym is?" She asked, returning Starfire as the bandages were secured.
"Oh yeah, head straight out of the alleyway and keep going until you see the prominent builder with the large glass door and a large fountain," He replied.
"Thank you, Ace and Sage, return," She said, returning her two Pokemon left out and picking up the egg, and running on off towards the gym.
