Until We Meet Again!
The cabin was very loud this morning. Everyone was dressed in their usual outfits again, chattering away, trying to say one last thing before we all had to leave. The last morning of camp was always like this, and it was nothing that I wasn't used to.
"So..." Gaia began hesitantly as everyone began quieting down. "What are you all doing the rest of the summer?"
"Still can't say." I replied. Actually, it was getting to the point that I was nervous to say it. Truthfully I didn't know if I was ever going to see these girls again, but we all knew that's the only question we really wanted an answer to. I still hadn't seen my old cabinmates from last year, even though we'd been a tight group too.
"I don't think I want to leave." Eve sighed, laying on her bed. She was the first one packed despite what she said, but she sounded sincere.
"I don't really want to either." Pearl agreed. "You guys are actually the best friends I've had in years... Some of the only ones too."
"I agree. Unfortunately, I live in a different province. I'll be back on the east coast by the end of the day." Gaia told us.
"How long does it take to get to PEI from Guelph?" I asked. I was curious. Surely her family wasn't driving her here and back, right?
"I'm taking a train to Toronto and flying from there, so it'll be about six hours." Gaia replied. "My brothers wanted to drive until Pa told them it would take about nineteen hours."
"Is anyone picking you up, or are you going to the train station alone?"
"I was planning on calling a taxi."
"Want me to ask my parents if we can drive you?"
Gaia thought for a minute, then smiled at me. "Sure! I'd love that!"
"Guys, parents are starting to arrive!" Aubrey pointed out the window. Yep, there were definitely more adults than usual out there.
"Well, if you girls want to go outside for a little while and see if you recognize anyone, you can." Maggie told us. "Just make sure to let us know before you leave."
"Awesome! Thanks Maggie!" Lilac grinned. "Come on guys, lets go!"
We all rushed out of the cabin with our partners not far behind. Misdreavus and Flabebe flew around our heads, Eevee, Amaryllis, and Pikachu running on the ground behind us, and Greninja, Deerling, and Jade running with the group. When we got outside we finally paused. What now?
"Wait, what do we actually want to do out here?" Aubrey asked.
"What can we do? They're packing up camp. Not allowed to swim, no time to climb the rock wall... No archery. We're not allowed in the forest right now. That also means no challenge games either." Eve spoke her thoughts aloud.
"Wow. Should we just go back in the cabin?" Gaia suggested. We talked it over and decided against that.
"Okay... How about a few last battles with each other?" Pearl suggested. We all seemed to agree with that one.
"Hey girls, can I join?" A voice came from behind the group. We all knew it.
"Hey Phoebe!" I turned around to look at our friend. "Sure, you can join!"
"Awesome! Can Dia join too? She's in my cabin and has been looking for someone to battle with as well."
"Sure!"
A few other people we knew overheard our conversation as well, and suddenly we had nine more people asking us to join. There were quite a few of us, fifteen to be exact, but we'd manage.
We each picked someone to battle, and so the matches went something like this:
Eve Vs Gaia
Lilac Vs Aubrey
Pearl Vs Phoebe
Chris Vs Altalune
Ty Vs Harry
Dia Vs Freddy
Veronica Vs Richie
And I decided to sit out until one of the battles was done and somebody was available to battle again. Little did I know, I soon wouldn't have to.
"You looking for someone to battle with?"
Max walked over to me with Malamar floating behind him. I sighed, knowing I'd have to at least acknowledge him. I just nodded, still watching the battles in front of me. Right now my eyes were on Freddy and Dia, as Flareon and Sableye were very closely matched. It was the most interesting of all the battles going on right now.
"How about you and I battle?" Max suggested.
'I'm not sure. Want to take this guy on?'
'You know I'm up for just about anything.'
"Alright. Let's do it." I sighed, walking to a clear spot for our battle. Max went to the opposite end of it from me, and then we began.
"Malamar, Just keep spamming brutal swing and hyper beam." Max ordered dismissively. I think he only wanted to battle so he could win and tick me off.
'Alright Greninja, use water shuriken. Try and make sure each one lands a hit. Use double team every once in a while, and try to use hydro pump sparingly.'
'Got it.'
Malamar used brutal swing just as Greninja jumped into the air, using double team immediately afterwards. Malamar seemed to see this coming and waited for all the copies to land before using brutal swing again. Greninja barely dodged before a hyper beam was aimed at him. He was nearly hit by that as well. I started to get a little worried. As much as I wanted to win just because we were fighting Max, this was starting to become more of an issue for Greninja's health instead. Pikachu and Amaryllis were watching from the sidelines, sharing the same worried expression.
'Are you able to hit it back?'
'Only while it recharges.'
Greninja threw a few water shurikens at Malamar while he was recharging from using hyper beam, but they barely did anything. He threw a few more a little harder, but it still didn't do much good. When Malamar began to move again he jumped immediately to avoid another brutal swing. He couldn't stay in the air forever, so whenever he landed another brutal swing came his way. It became a cycle of Malamar trying to hit Greninja from the ground and Greninja trying his best to stay in the air.
'I think half its moveset is psychic type moves. Just wait until it can't use hyper beam or brutal swing anymore.'
'I'm trying. It's getting a little tiring to use double team.'
'Try to lay off on that one for a while then. See if you can lure it into using hyper beam by letting it see you.'
'I'll try that. How long until hyper beam is supposed to get too tiring to use?'
'About five times for most pokemon? I think. It has four hyper beams left if I'm guessing right.'
'Good to know. I'll try to hit it while it's recharging.'
'Good idea.'
Greninja kept dodging in the same little cycle for a while, without the double team this time. There were a few more hyper beams, and he was able to hold out until Malamar only had one left.
'How many more brutal swings? He should get tired of those at some point...'
'He looks tired.'
'Then it shouldn't be much longer now, right?'
'I hope not. Try to keep going until he's forced into psychic moves.'
'I am trying. Got any other ideas? This is getting a little tiring for me too.'
'If you need a break soon, maybe using double team a few more times will help.'
'Yeah, if I have enough energy left to use it...'
'I don't really have anything else... Sorry...'
'It's fine. I'll think of something.'
As our conversation ended, Greninja stumbled on his rhythm a little bit, nearly resulting in him getting hit. He was definitely tired. He was used to being able to take out his opponents quickly, with minimal damage. Malamar he couldn't seem to get close to. Still, this couldn't go on for much longer, right? Malamar had to get tired at some point. We were just trying to figure this out when the attacks stopped. Greninja stood still, but kept his guard up and didn't stray too far from me. Just far enough that I wouldn't get hit if anymore moves were used.
"Doesn't your greninja have any attacks other than water shuriken?" Max rolled his eyes. "Seriously, why did you decide to battle me like this?"
"You challenged us!" I shot back.
"I challenged you, just you. Not your greninja. You couldn't have chosen a stronger pokemon?" Max scoffed. "I'm disappointed that you call it your ace. If that's the strongest pokemon you've got, you'll never catch up to me!"
Malamar was suddenly fed up with the chatter, and Greninja and I realised a little too late. He didn't have time to move before Malamar used brutal swing again, striking Greninja right by his scar and throwing him backwards towards me. I just barely managed to catch him, and even after that he stood up again immediately. I saw him wince from the pain, but there was no way I could make him back down right now. Silence for a few seconds, then Max started walking away.
"Guess we finally hit your greninja. C'mon Malamar, let's go."
"Wait, that's not fair!" Pikachu yelled after Max and Malamar, who were walking away. "Nobody's knocked out yet!"
Max turned back to us and groaned. "Mousey, your teammate clearly can't take a hit, nor should he. He should've never started battling again in the first place. He's too weak for this, we all know I'd win even if we did continue."
"How about you get over here and prove it?"
"I can still fight!" Greninja insisted, still standing tall in front of our group, arms folded in front of himself.
Max seemed to think about it for a second, but before he could argue back or begin walking away again, Malamar fired its last hyper beam at Greninja. I felt his shock, along with my own, and we both braced ourselves for a hit that never came.
L.G. was there just in time, blocking the hyper beam with a wall of ice. He'd moved too quickly for us to see how he froze it, but it came down with a wave of his hand when the hyper beam was finished.
"What are you doing?" He glared at Max and Malamar, waiting for an answer. Max shrugged, and Malamar made a reply I wasn't able to understand. All I knew is that it was upsetting my partner more and more every time Malamar spoke. L.G. made a few replies before they left, and then he turned to us.
"What was that?" Greninja demanded, looking more angry than annoyed.
"That was me preventing unnecessary trips to two types of hospitals. You're welcome." L.G. replied calmly.
"I could take it!"
"Could your trainer?"
Greninja stopped to think for a minute. I felt his anger fade. I decided to speak up myself.
"Did you really not hear the word 'types' when he said 'two types of hospitals'?"
"No... I didn't. Are you alright?" Greninja turned to me, trying to ignore L.G.
"I'm fine." I smiled.
Greninja forced a smile back, but is disappeared when he turned to L.G. again. The two stared at each other a little awkwardly for a minute before Pikachu decided she had something to say.
"Hey! Is anyone going to talk, or are we having staring contests now?"
"Either one is fine with me." Greninja muttered, refusing to break eye contact with L.G, who seemed too stubborn to look away as well. He didn't seem very focused however. I couldn't tell you what about, but L.G. seemed to be deep in his own thoughts. While Greninja simply didn't want to break eye contact and make it look like he was scared, L.G. was actually doing something with what he saw. I tried to figure out what was so fascinating with Greninja's eyes when Professor Loon and Professor Trillium both came up to us. Greninja and L.G. broke eye contact at the same time to look towards the two professors.
"What's going on here?" Professor Loon demanded. Professor Trillium was calmer.
"Max told us about your battle. Is everyone here okay?"
"Everyone's fine." Amaryllis replied. "Hello professors!"
"Hello Amaryllis." Professor Trillium smiled. Loon simply nodded at her. The rest of my friends came walking over to us to see what was going on.
"What's happening over here?" Freddy asked. "Is everyone okay?"
Everyone else chimed in with their own concerned voices, and it took a minute to calm them down so we could explain what had happened.
"Oh. Well as long as nobody's hurt. And if anyone is, I have potions!" Veronica offered, but Greninja shook his head when she held them out to him.
"Alright. If everything's okay now-" Ty was cut off by a man shouting from the top of the hill where we were. "Oh, that's my dad. Guess I have to go now."
"Aw man! That sucks." Harry sighed. "But you have me added on your Pokedex app, right?"
"Yeah! I'll call you when I get home!" Ty shouted, already halfway up the hill.
"Sounds great! I'll be waiting!" Harry shouted back.
"You can add people on the Pokedex?" I asked.
"Yeah! You know how the Pokedex and Pokenav both used to be their own separate devices? Well, they combined the features of both when they made them into an app!" Harry explained. "On the side bar with all your options you can find the Pokenav's features closer to the bottom. Home is at the top, your team under that, your dex after that, then your recommended, then all of the pokenav's features in their original order, and the settings tab at the bottom."
"Alright, how do you add people?"
Harry walked me through the process while the others watched, then started to babble again. "They added some new features too. You can now text people if you don't want to call. Also, check this out!"
Harry went to his map, but when he clicked on that option he got taken to three more choices. He could view a regular map, a map showing the locations of other with the app who were nearby, and a map showing the locations of others he'd registered on the app who were nearby.
"If you turn on your location in settings, I can find you guys using the map in the Pokedex app!" Harry told us. "Here, let's all register each other."
It took a few minutes, but everyone managed to register each other on their dexes. Just in time too, because Harry had to go when we finished, and Altalune and Dia soon after that.
"Guess it's a good thing we learned about this whole Pokenav thing when we did." Chris commented. "I really thought we could only use it as a dex."
"It is called the Pokedex app." Richie said. "It wasn't an unreasonable assumption."
"I guess you're right."
"So, does everyone know what they're doing this summer?" Veronica asked. She took a blanket from the white leather backpack she always carried with her and set it on the ground for everyone to sit on. "I'm curious."
"Alyssa and I would say, but we want to surprise our pokemon so we can't right now." Lilac said. "But I guess we could name a few side projects. I like to design clothes sometimes, and I'm looking for some extra inspiration this summer, especially from the league."
"Oh, that sounds cool! I like that idea!" Phoebe grinned. "I was never great with clothes."
"Well I like your outfit! It matches Delphox!" Lilac encouraged her. Phoebe glanced at her outfit, the same one she's worn the first day of camp, and then at Delphox. A smile appeared on her face.
"You're right, it does!"
"It is fun to match with your pokemon sometimes, but in all honesty I'm glad last night's event is over with. Orange is not my colour." Freddy sighed. He was in a black t-shirt and shorts now. "Then again, maybe black on a hot summer day wasn't such a good idea either."
"Told ya." Veronica grinned. "You should've worn blue, like me!"
"Your jean shorts are blue. Your t-shirt is sea green."
"Shut."
"Guys, why are we arguing about clothes?" Richie, who was still matching Leafeon with the same outfit as the other night (minus the hibiscus). "Can we get back to talking about our summer?"
"Yeah, sure." Aubrey said. "Eve and I are going to stay in Toronto a bit before travelling. Eve feels rushed to figure out what she wants to do with her life."
"Yep." Eve agreed. "We're staying with Aubrey's family for a while and then we'll travel around a few of the provinces. Also Aubrey's looking for some singing contests to join."
"That sounds like a lot of fun guys!" I said.
"I hope it is."
"Aw man, all your guys are travelling! I'm going to be home all summer." Richie sighed. "Mom invited Freddy and Veronica's family to stay with us in BC... Again..."
"Why don't you tell her you want to go on your pokemon journey now?" Freddy suggested. "We could come with you!"
"My mom doesn't want me to go. Keeps saying I'm too young and wouldn't know how to start or take care of myself properly." Richie said.
"That sucks. Pokemon journeys are fun!" Chris said. "Most people start when they're ten, but I didn't start until I was eleven."
"My mom doesn't want me starting until I'm fifteen." Richie complained. "When I was little all I would do was research pokemon battles and different types of pokemon around the country. When I grew up a bit I started doing travel research and had my mom teach me to cook. I did everything I possibly could to give myself all the knowledge I'd need, but my mom still doesn't want to let me go!"
"You sound prepared. Have you ever been in a pokemon battle before?"
"Not very many."
"Then it's probably experience she's worried about. Research on wild pokemon hardly does a thing for you when they're a higher level." Chris guessed.
"It might do some good to practice your dodging skills." I added. "You can beat an opponent with a higher level than your own pokemon simply by outlasting them. They have to run out of energy for their attacks eventually."
"Right! Pokemon tend to get tired after using the same attack over and over again. Like they have a limit for how many times certain moves can be used." Gaia chimed in too. "And it takes more energy to attack an opponent than it takes to dodge."
"Just be aware that higher level pokemon may have higher stamina and speed too, and they'll probably be smarter with how they use their moves." Chris finished for us. Richie gave us a thoughtful look and then nodded.
"Makes sense. I'll try that, and more battles. Thanks guys."
"No problem. So, what's everyone else doing this summer?" I asked.
"I'm going to be competing in the league." Gaia replied.
"I probably will too." Chris decided. "I want to become a great ice type trainer. You see, my brother is the leader of the ice type gym in the Northwest Territory. I want to see if my ice team can finally beat his!"
"That's so cool!" Aubrey said. Everyone else agreed, and they had questions, but Chris shut them all down pretty quickly.
"Sorry guys, but I'm not allowed to say anything more." He said.
After everyone settled down again, Phoebe spoke up. "I think I'm going to compete in the league too. There's a lot of pressure though, with just one summer to complete all those gyms."
"Yeah. That is going to be tough." Gaia agreed.
"Well, good luck guys." Lilac smiled. "I'll cheer all of you on too!"
"Too?"
Lilac and I glanced at each other before I got on my phone and made a group chat with everyone present on it. Making sure my pokemon were all out of their cards playing somewhere else, I texted them my plans with Lilac, and how we wanted to surprise our teams.
"Oh, I get it!" Veronica grinned. "Well-"
"Veronica, Freddy, Richie!" A camp leader called from near the buildings. "Your ride is here!"
"Oh, gotta go! Sorry guys! We'll talk to you all later! Keep us updated!" Veronica said. We all stood up and she put the blanket away before running after her brother and cousin.
"Bye guys!" Phoebe waved after them. The rest of us did too. She turned to us again to speak.
"I think I see my family's car over there too, so I'm going to go now. I'll see you all later! Have a great rest of the summer!"
She and Delphox ran off, leaving me, Chris, and my cabin.
"Aw man! Everyone's leaving!" Chris said. "Oh well. What is there left to do anyways?"
"I don't know." Aubrey shrugged.
"Well, if nobody here has any idea, I'd like to say goodbye to my cabinmates." Chris said, already walking away. "I'll be sure to put in a good word for y'all with my brother, so don't be surprised if he's extra prepared for you!"
"Alright, cool!" Gaia shouted back. "So, now that we're all alone... Just Cabin Primarina again..."
There it was again. A bunch of awkwardness and the thought that we may drift apart again once the summer ended. After all, once the league ends what else do we have to talk about? Right now it was the countries biggest event of the year keeping us in contact. Would we still talk once it ended?
"So... Are we going to see each other again? I know we'll probably update each other constantly for the league, but after that?" Eve voiced our thoughts for us.
"Well, I'd like to keep in contact." I said. The others slowly agreed.
"I don't see what's stopping us!" Pearl said confidently. "As long as we all want to be friends, what reason do we have not to be?"
"I think it's more a matter of events that we're all worried about." Gaia pointed out. "What if we don't physically see each other again? We can't just rely on the internet to talk. Online friends disappear, contact numbers change..."
"Well, Gaia, you, Lilac and I have been coming to this camp for a long time now. And Lilac and I both live in Guelph. Aubrey, Eve, Pearl, you all live in Toronto, right? That's not super far away. I think we could find each other again if we wanted to."
"Yeah, and we-" Pearl was cut off by one of our counsellors shouting for her. Her ride home was here.
"Darn it! I hate being first to leave!" She sighed. "My parents are going to interrogate me as soon as I'm in the car too..."
"That's okay. Toronto isn't super far away, is it?" Gaia asked. "Besides, we can still text you."
"Alright, but just one thing before I go." Pearl said. "Can you guys make it to some of my performances? It's my first time performing for anyone other than my instructor and parents, so I'd really like some friends supporting me."
"Sure! We'll try!" Eve smiled. "Text us your schedule and Aubrey and I will see when our travel schedule overlaps!"
"Yeah, make a group chat and send it to us!" Gaia said.
"Alright, I will. Hey Alyssa?" Pearl turned to me next. "I was wondering, I actually have an ice type performance in Churchill. It's one that I'm very excited for. Could you come to it? Please?"
"Uh... I don't know. I'm not sure if I can promise anything specific, but I'll try!" I grinned.
"Thank so much! Alright, I've got to go! I'll see you all later!" Pearl waved and ran off towards her parents.
From there each of our families arrived, and one by one, everyone was gone. All our friends from Cabin Rowlett, Chris, and even Aubrey and Eve left earlier than expected. Soon enough, my family was here too.
"Alright everyone, into your cards." I turned to my team and had them all return. We'd already asked if Gaia could come with us, and my parents had said it was okay. She was in the car already, with my mom. My dad and his pokemon were loading the truck with my bags and Gaia's, with Jake's help since he and his cinderace insisted. I was about to get in the car when Max came up to me. This time, Muk slid along beside him instead of Malamar floating behind.
"Yes I do hate this as much as you, but Muk is being very pushy about it." Max started to explain before I could ask what he was doing. "He wants me to register you in the Pokedex-Nav... Thing. Help me out here."
"The app?" I asked, already pulling out my phone. "Fine."
The interaction was wordless the rest of the way and over as soon as we'd registered each other. Greninja and I then squeezed into the back seat of the car with Greninja by the window. Gaia had called the middle seat.
"Hello!" Gaia smiled at us. "Your family is really nice."
"Thanks." I grinned. "So, what gym do you think you'll be taking on first?"
"Probably the steel type gym. I'm totally unprepared for PEI's fairy gym."
"Yeah, that's fair."
"So..." Gaia started, "it's a bit weird that Pearl asked you to come to her Churchill performance. That was very specific."
I thought for a moment. "Yeah, it was a little odd."
"I wonder why. She did seem to attach herself to you."
"I hardly notice. Usually I don't realize when people are getting attached to me."
My family dropped Gaia off at the station and went straight home afterwards. The car ride was quiet, but things got busy even after we were all unpacked. I could hear my brother shouting in the basement, along with his cinderace and their friends, Desmond and his squirtle. They were probably playing some video games or having a trading card battle. My phone was also buzzing like crazy, probably because the others were now able to text and were talking in the group chat. I set my phone aside to charge, deciding I would check my notifications later. For now, I had to hop on my laptop and ensure everything was set up properly for our trip. I took my pokemon cards and released most of my pokemon, telling them to go play. Once all of them were gone, I released Cinderace and Pikachu.
"Where's Eevee?" Pikachu asked as soon as she was out.
"Distracting the others." I replied. "For now, we have to go over this plan one more time and make sure we didn't miss anything."
"Alright. Sounds good." Cinderace smiled and gave a thumbs up.
"Alright, great. Greninja, can you give us a short summary of how we should time all this?" I turned to my partner. He grinned.
"Sure. With the time we have in the summer, if we want to get to Ottawa early we need to take on and beat a new gym every single day. That includes the fact that everyone wants to stay in Toronto for a week and we need to attend Pearl's Churchill performance. Professor Trillium and Professor Amethyst have already made travel plans for us so we can go whenever we're ready."
"Aaaaaaah this could get boring real fast!" I flopped on my bed, landing on my back, and groaned. "A new gym every day! I didn't think we'd have that little time!"
"Hey, it's not that bad! It just means we'll have extra long days and we'll cram as much fun into each of them as we possibly can!" Pikachu smiled, sitting beside my shoulder.
"Yeah! We can beat the gym first and use the rest of the day to explore!" Cinderace chimed in. "It'll be exhausting, sure, but lots of fun before we're too old and have too many responsibilities for it!"
"So how about we get up early, beat the gym right away, and use the rest of the day to explore? That way we're getting everything done that we want to do!" Greninja finished their speech and held his hand out to me to help me get up again. I took it and he pulled me to my feet. "Do we have a plan?"
"Yeah. That sounds pretty good actually. What if we can't beat the gym though?" I asked.
"We'll take a short break and try again. We might have to stay an extra day but that won't make us late as long as it doesn't happen every time."
"We can do two gyms in one day when we get to Vancouver! They have the rock and dragon gyms there! Vancouver has a district in it called Chinatown and that's where the dragon type gym is." Pikachu offered some information.
"I thought Chinatown was in Toronto." Cinderace said.
"Toronto has its own Chinatown too, but because Toronto is already so much more popular and well known than Vancouver everyone decided it was best to give Vancouver two gyms instead."
"Ah, I see. That makes sense."
"Hey, what are you guys talking about?"
We all turned around to see a curious Popplio waiting at the door, which she had pushed open slightly. The rest of our team was right behind her.
"Sorry guys. I tried." Eevee smiled sheepishly.
"So, anything you five have to tell us?" Froakie pushed the door open all the way and hopped onto my desk beside my laptop. "A travel schedule? We're going somewhere?"
"Yes, actually. Everyone come in here." I answered. The team slowly came into the room until they were all standing right in front of me. Some of them looked nervous, others looked excited, but most of all they were just plain curious.
"So... As you all know, every year we usually take part in the city's mini gym challenge during the summers. It's just something that we've been doing for who knows how long for the sake of having something to do. But this year, Greninja and I decided to step it up a bit. We're going to be doing the country's gym challenge this summer, and our friends are all joining us!" I announced.
"Wait actually? It's about time!" Froakie cheered. "I was wondering when we'd start this!"
"I'm with him." Dragalge chimed in. "Been watching you kids grow up for the past decade and two years. Really took you long enough to get started on a real gym challenge!"
"Is Jake joining us though? He's only like... nine." Popplio asked.
"Since he already has his license, thanks to Professor Trillium, he's still able to register." I explained. "Watch him and his cinderace knock their competition out of the ballpark!"
"You aren't worried about that?" Vulpix asked. "Won't they knock us out too?"
"They're competing in a different league." Cinderace told her. "The Mythical and Legendary League, for trainers who want to use mythicals and legendaries in their battles."
"That's right! And while I am bringing Volcanion and Rayquaza's cards along on this journey, I won't be battling with them. They're just here for emergencies." I added. "Or if I get a challenge from another trainer with a legendary or mythical pokemon themselves."
"So we actually get to do the real gym challenge?" Grookey asked. "This isn't a joke?"
"This isn't a joke. We leave in a week, when Jake is done with his camp."
"Awesome! But why didn't you tell us before?" Raboot asked.
"I overheard those two discussing it and told them to surprise you guys." Cinderace pointed at Greninja and I. "They'd already told Pikachu and Eevee though."
"This is going to be one heck of a ride. If any of you guys don't want to fight in the league, that's fine-"
"We'd have to be crazy to not want to fight in this. Look, even I'm pumped!" Mudbray shouted. He was right. That was always a surprise. Mudbray much preferred pulling pranks to battling other pokemon.
"So what's our first stop?" Rhyhorn asked.
I turned to my fire type pokemon, Cinderace, Raboot, Vulpix, and Charmander. "You guys are going to have fun with this one. Toronto, steel type gym."
