Muked Up

I listened to the chaos of my cabin and stared out the window. Everyone was seated around the little round table except for our counselors. It was a pretty tight squeeze for six girls and their pokemon, but we managed. I was sitting between Gaia and Greninja, who was beside Lilac. Deerling was asleep on Lilac's lap, and Misdreavus was flying around Gaia's head. Beside Gaia was Aubrey, then Eve, and between Eve and Lilac was Pearl. Eve's Eevee was on her shoulder, Pearl didn't have any pokemon out, and Flabebe was resting on the table with her flower beside her. Greninja, Gaia, Maggie, Sylveon and I had gone to the snack bar earlier to grab some snacks for everyone since it was raining so hard out. Sylveon because she and Maggie had umbrellas, and Greninja, Gaia and I just didn't mind the rain. Now we were all munching on chips and candy, talking loudly while our counselors scrolled through their phones or tried to sleep.

"I want to go swimming!"

"Not now Popplio."

"So, does anyone ever nickname their pokemon?" Eve asked, thankfully changing the subject before Popplio could pester me again.

"Yeah, eevees and pikachus seem to be fairly popular starters around here, and occasionally Greninja and I see other greninjas too, so I nickname Greninja A.G, my Eevee Amaryllis, and Pikachu Aella." I replied.

"Oh, I like Amaryllis!"

"My eevee chose it herself."

"Why A.G?" Gaia questioned Greninja's nickname.

"Her initial, my initial." Greninja answered for me. "I like it better than using my initial and then the first initial of my family name. Then it would be G.K."

"Yeah, actually stick to A.G. It does sound better."

Just then there was some banging at the door. Some of us jumped, Gaia looked bored as she always did, and then we were all just confused.

"I'll get it!" I volunteered.

I got up and walked over to the door. Greninja tried to follow, but I made sure to tell him telepathically that I would be fine. I was only answering the door, how hard could it be? I wasn't that introverted. I handled talking to people just fine, even if it was a little rocky at first.

"Hello?" I asked as I opened the door to see Max... Standing there... In the girl's hall... With an Alolan Muk...

"Yeah, hi. I can tell by your expression that you're not too pleased about seeing me here." He said, his own expression going from tired and bored to annoyed as soon as he saw me. "Trust me, I'm not happy about it either. But this muk has been following me around and it doesn't belong to any of the boys, so I got permission to come upstairs to the girl's hall and ask if it belongs to anyone."

"Nope. Greninja's my only dark type." I shrugged as my partner silently came up behind me, wanting to hear the conversation. "And Gaia trains ghost types only. Eve collects nature inspired pokemon, whatever that means, so a muk doesn't really fit that category. I already know all of Lilac's pokemon, so I guess that only leaves my counselors, Aubrey, and Pearl."

"Good to know who not to waste my time on." Max sighed. "Is it alright if I talk to them?"

"Nobody in here has a muk! Quit stalling just so you can talk to your cruuuuussssshhhh~!" Gaia yelled at Max from where she was seated. I thought I saw him blush slightly, but who wouldn't when they'd just been embarrassed like that? Didn't matter if it was true or not, Gaia had called him out for something that should've stayed a secret if that was what he really thought of me.

"She's not my crush, but I guess you could say she's my rival." Max shot back. "We both made it to the city league finals last year, but I won. Proving I'm still unbeatable! Now, I'm moving onto the country's league where I'll win again!"

"You too eh?" I asked, leaning against the door frame and folding my arms.

"Yep." He glared at me slightly, but grinned. "Better give up now before losing again in front of everyone!"

"We won't lose." Greninja responded for me and put his hand on my shoulder. "Especially not to you."

"We'll see. Anyways, since nobody here has a muk, I guess I'll go now."

"Hey, if you don't want to take that muk with you we can look after it." Maggie offered. "It won't be any trouble for us!"

"No, it's fine. This thing doesn't seem to want to stop following me anyways."

"Hm... Are you sure it's not yet another pokemon your daddy dearest bought you with all the extra money he had? He does get you an awful lot of pokemon cards, and you don't seem to respect the poor things based off of how I've seen you treat them, so I wouldn't be surprised if you completely forgot you had a muk. It's not the strongest pokemon you could have after all, your dad has bought you legendaries and mythicals."

"Only seven, all dark types. Not enough for the final round of the country's league." Max groaned. "And I can keep track of my pokemon if I try, I just can't list them all off at once like you can."

"Alright, so do you remember having a muk at any point?"

"I had a grimer when I was little. Kind of. I befriended it, but I never really caught it. It tried to give me its card multiple times, but my dad told me not to waste my time on weak pokemon."

"Alright, what happened to it?"

"Well, it all happened when I was on vacation with my family in PEI. My dad, being Ontario's champion, is extremely wealthy as you already know." Max explained. "We have a cottage in every province. Every summer we travel to a different one. This time I left school early for it though. We went to PEI again. When I was little and I met grimer, he was crawling around on the streets looking for food. I thought it was a little cool to see a normal grimer in PEI, since PEI is actually kind of like Canada's Alola. Anything other than Alolan form pokemon are supposed to be difficult to spot there, considering the species you're looking for has an Alolan form. I went around picking up trash for Grimer to eat. Soon we were playing together with my starter like we'd known each other forever. We had to be very careful that nobody got hurt, but then again we were kids. Kids tend to be tougher than they look when they're just roughhousing and stuff."

"Well do you think that muk could be the same pokemon as the grimer that you made friends with?" Aubrey asked.

"No way! The grimer that I met was at least three provinces away, and he was just a normal grimer! This one's an Alolan form!"

"Why couldn't it be? Maybe it saw you again when you were in PEI this year, snuck on board your plane somehow, and then came to find you here!"

"But the Alolan form!"

"So what? It got started on an Alolan grimer's diet because of you, right?" Greninja reasoned. "So it's entirely possible it evolved after you left into it's Alolan form. Alolan grimers and muks adapted and gained a new regional form by switching their diet from sludge to solid trash. You started feeding your grimer friend solid trash, didn't you? Perhaps it adapted too."

"That... Is a possibility, but how would it have snuck onto a plane here?" Max asked. "I'm sure security would've stopped it."

The rest of us shrugged. How a wild Alolan muk had made its way from PEI to Ontario beat us.

"How about we go and ask Professor Trillium?" Natalie suggested. "She would be able to help us figure it out!"

"It's almost supper time anyways!" Andrea reminded us. "So we'll be able to leave and go to the main building soon. Don't say I can't keep us on track Maggie!"

Maggie laughed and then looked around at our group. "Alright everyone, we'll help Max with his little situation. But what should we do if this muk really is wild?"

"I say we have Max catch it." Gaia yawned. "That solution makes the most sense."

"Yeah, Muk is really attached." Greninja said, sounding a bit shocked, like he was only realizing that for the first time. "Can't imagine why unless it's the same as that grimer..."

"Agh... I can't catch this muk! Do you know how my dad would react?!" Max protested. "He told me no weak pokemon!"

"Well what's he going to do about it? Force you to release it?" Eve asked. Max went silent and glared at her. "Alright, didn't think so. Just catch it dude, it's not going to hurt you."

Obviously Eve had not noticed how angry Max was.

Max opened his mouth to say something, but before her could doors started opening and girls came out of their cabins to go to the cafeteria to eat. There were six girl cabins, including ours, which was Cabin Primarina. The others were Cabin Brionne, Cabin Popplio, Cabin Poipole, Cabin Lunala, and Cabin Rowlet (because the boys wanted at least one legendary so they sacrificed Rowlet for Sogaleo).

"Hey, how are we going to get outside without getting soaked by the rain?" Max asked.

"Water tunnel!" Phoebe called back to him. She was in Cabin Lunala. "Look!"

Phoebe ran over to me and grabbed my hand and Greninja's hand, dragging us both to the exit door of the Inn. We looked outside, and there was indeed a water tunnel. Just a long hallway with a rounded roof and waterfall walls. Everyone under it was completely dry, and the hall was very wide to there was no chance of accidentally getting pushed into the rain. In the middle of the tunnel, to the side, was L.G.

"Hey L.G." Max mumbled as we passed by. L.G. didn't answer. He just stood there with his arms folded and eyes closed, looking like he was trying to focus.

"Oi, he's probably the one keeping the rain from falling on us all. Let him concentrate." Greninja elbowed Max and whispered.

"Fine, geez. It's not like I was talking very loud." Max grumbled, but we all knew he didn't want to get wet right now either.

... And then there was Popplio, who was currently taking a shower in the waterfall or something. She'd already reached the door and was playing in the water while waiting for the rest of us. Froakie was trying to pull her out of there while Vulpix scolded both of them, resulting in Froakie getting soaked as well.

"Hey, looks like you, me, and Cinderace!" Greninja pointed out, with me being Popplio and him being Froakie of course.

"Yep! I'm the one who's willing to try something stupid, you're the one who tries to stop me and eventually gives up and joins me anyways, and Cinderace is the one guy who screams at us the whole way through and won't stop freaking out at us for doing something so obviously dumb to everyone else."

Our group was the last one to get in, after picking up Popplio and carrying her inside to dry her and Froakie off. L.G. was the last person to come inside and shut the door. The water tunnel fell behind him as he did, and all of the rain fell normally again.

"So it was you keeping that water tunnel up!" Max said, sounding more than a little impressed.

"Of course. Who else would it be?" L.G. replied.

"How?"

"How what?"

"How did you do that?" Max asked.

"Well," L.G. began to explain, "greninjas can compress water in the air around us into different shapes. That's how we use the move water shuriken. But it doesn't have to be a throwing star that we compress water into. It can be any tool, like the roof of that tunnel."

"You taught me that trick when I evolved." Greninja smiled. "And you taught me a little bit about sword fighting when I was a frogadier!"

"That's right!" L.G. grinned. "Can you still make a sword?"

Greninja made a water sword the same way he made a water shuriken. "Yeah, it almost feels natural now."

"Good. So you've been practicing?"

"Only with the sword. It's my favourite weapon. I like it even better than the shurikens!"

"You should practice with other shapes too. The more you practice with a variety of different weapons, the easier it will be each time you learn to compress water into something new."

"Alright." Greninja nodded. As much as he seemed to hate L.G, he had to respect him, and he was grateful that L.G. had helped him figure out his new moves when he first evolved. L.G. had trained him almost as much as I had. Still, it was rare to see them getting along when it was just them, my pokemon, Loon and I. They behaved better towards each other when there were more people watching them, but honestly, their personalities just clashed way too much.

"By the way, do you know where Professor Trillium and Professor Loon are right now?" Max asked. "This muk won't stop following me, and I want to find its trainer."

L.G. looked at the muk with a bit of curiosity for only a moment before turning his translator mic off, crouching on one knee, and speaking to the muk in their own language. The muk made a brief reply and showed L.G. his card. L.G. turned his mic on again as he got back up.

"It's a wild pokemon. It doesn't have a trainer."

"Huh. Okay then, so what do we do with it?" Max said, seeming a bit uninterested by now.

"You catch it, obviously. It clearly wants to go with you."

"What?! What is it with people wanting me to catch this thing?"

"Kid, if you're collecting dark types you shouldn't have a problem with this. That's why you chose a froakie as your starter, right?" L.G. pointed out. "And it's not just following you around for no reason."

"What if there's a different reason it's following me!"

"I can't think of another reason other than it may be trying to warn you of something, like when absols come into cities to warn of a crisis. But this muk seems too calm for that."

"Hey, what's going on here? Why's nobody going to eat supper?" Professor Trillium came up to our group. "You guys not hungry or something?"

"This muk won't stop following me!" Max groaned.

"L.G. says Muk probably wants Max to catch it." I added.

"We were looking for you, but L.G. happened to be here, so yeah..." Aubrey smiled.

"Well, if that's what Muk wants, I think it would be a great idea for Max to catch it!" Professor Trillium smiled back at us. "It's not like it'll mess up his all dark type team, and I haven't seen him with any of his pokemon in a while so this might be good for him!"

"What did happen to your pokemon, Max?" I asked him. "We've always gone to the same school. I thought when we were younger I saw you with a froakie, just like me."

"N-nothing." Max stuttered and looked away. "Anyways, my dad won't let me. He says he doesn't want me to catch any pokemon that can't beat Malamar in a battle."

"So battle Malamar with Muk!" Pearl suggested. "I'm sure you two can do it!"

"You really shouldn't let your dad dictate everything you do." L.G. pointed out, "I've watched you and Malamar battle together. You two don't make a very good team. You kind of bring out the worst in each other."

"I'm sure everyone has heard by now that Max's dad is the least respected among the provincial champions, because he treats his pokemon like tools and not his partners." Gaia sighed. "That's even worse than my province's champion being a pushover outside of anything that's not a battle."

"So you're from PEI eh?" Pearl asked.

"Yes, but let's not get too off topic. Max, catch that Muk! Clearly it's not going to leave you alone anyways. Worst case scenario you hide the card from your dad, which will be harder to do if you don't take the card in the first place."

"That's right. And I nearly forgot, Loon was looking for you L.G." Professor Trillium said.

L.G. nodded and walked away from the group. The rest of us watched Max expectantly.

"Oh alright, alright." Max bent down to Muk's height. "Well Muk, want to come with me?"

Muk yelled happily and tried to give Max a hug, but he swiftly dodged. "Woah, careful! You're toxic to me, remember?"

Muk nodded but didn't look any less happy as he handed a hesitant Max his card. Professor Trillium smiled at the two of them and Max returned Muk to his card. Our counselors shooed us towards the cafeteria. The entire line was gone and we had half the amount of time as everyone else to eat, but thankfully Misdreavus, Frogadier, Aubrey's wigglytuff, and Lilac's espeon had gone ahead of the group and been kind enough to grab food for everyone from our cabin. One of Max's cabin mates had grabbed some food for him as well.

"So, what do you guys want to talk about now?" Eve asked us as we sat down. The rest of us shrugged.

"Whatcha all thinking about?" Gaia questioned.

"I want to learn how to control the rain the same way L.G. did." Greninja answered.

"Well that would certainly be useful. Anyone else?"

"I'm trying to plan how our performance for the talent show might look in my head." Eve smiled.

"I was just discussing with Flabebe what song we should learn next." Aubrey said. "We do want to become singers you know!"

"I'm just thinking about my plans for the rest of the summer." Lilac shrugged, grinning a little.

"Same as Lilac." I grinned. "How about you Gaia?"

"Oh, I'm just wondering how long that partnership is going to last." Gaia grinned even bigger than I did, jerking her head at Max, who was showing his cabin mates Muk's card.

"Yeah, Max seemed really hesitant. He better not upset that Muk!" Aubrey frowned. "Now, I'm curious, Alyssa and Lilac, what are your summer plans?"

"Yeah, you won't tell anyone but Greninja, Alyssa!" Froakie said to me accusingly.

"Well, it's a secret." Lilac and I said together. Then I turned to Froakie.

"I'm sorry Bud. But I can tell you that I think you'll have a lot of fun this summer!"

"Aw man, I wanna know what we're doing!" Froakie sighed, but didn't press for more answers.

"Well I'm taking on the country's league and aiming to be the strongest ghost type trainer in Canada!" Gaia announced. "I know I can do it! I just have to work hard and never give up!"

"Sounds a bit cliche and cheesy for you." Aubrey giggled. "Now, I'm not going to do any battling this summer. Instead I'm going to find a singing competition for me and Flabebe to enter! Wish I had a translator mic though..."

"I'll ask Professor Trillium about that for you." I offered. "Okay Pearl, Eve, what are you guys going to do?"

"I'm just going to travel with Aubrey. Honestly, I have no idea what my dream is, so I'm going with her to see the country and try to figure it out." Eve smiled.

"I'm also traveling! Sounds like most of us are." Pearl said. "But I'm doing something different from all of you! I want to be a pokemon performer!"

"That sounds awesome Pearl! Maybe I'll go and see one of your shows." I exclaimed.

"That would be great! I'd really love it if you could!"

"Hey, that's all dancing and fashion, right?" Gaia asked.

"There are three different rounds. First is pokemon fashion, then singing, and finally dancing!" Pearl explained. "Occasionally the fashion round is replaced by trivia, cooking, or baking."

"Sounds cool."

"It is! My mom really wanted my sister to become a pokemon performer when she was little, and my sister enjoyed it for a while, but she grew out of it and started to prefer battling eventually."

"Battling is cooler."

"That's what my sister started saying eventually. I was never very good at it though, so I'll stick to performing. My sister was definitely a tomboy around the end. Her froakie seemed to have the same kind of tomboyish personality as her, except it was always like that. Unlike my sister, it was never a girly girl."

"So your sister had a female froakie. Aren't female starters supposed to be pretty rare?"

"Yep! Only 12.5% of each starter species is female!"

Gaia and Pearl continued to go back and forth about all of this for a while. Greninja and I just watched Max, talking about him and Muk telepathically. For us, it really wasn't a question of how Muk would get hurt by Max or his dad, but when. We watched long enough to see Muk get released from his card, at which point I zoned out and Greninja turned his thoughts to other things, mostly trying to plan out everything we'd need for our trip after camp.

Supper went by in a flash, boring as ever with most of us keeping to our own thoughts or conversations with our pokemon. Looked like there was no group conversation tonight. The cafeteria was strangely quiet the entire time, actually. Everyone from every table was speaking quietly, and the adults in the room weren't speaking at all. Nobody was called out to sing a song, say sorry for any bad manners, and no letters came like they usually did. Usually meals were noisy and busy times at this camp, but the rain seemed to have sucked away everyone's energy. my koffing floated around with some other pokemon that could fly or float, but that was the most movement we got in the room. Just slowly floating pokemon who had that ability. And they were far above everyone, so almost nobody even noticed them.

"Awfully quiet, eh?" Phoebe whispered to me from behind. Her cabin's table was right beside mine, and today she had chosen to sit behind me, so we could turn around when we were done eating and talk to each other.

"Yeah," I replied, "it is."

"I wonder why? Usually it's really loud in here. My poor Delphox gets a headache from it sometimes."

"I'm not sure." I looked at Phoebe's Delphox, who was beside her and behind Greninja. Those two seemed to be ignoring each other right now, but I could tell Greninja was lost in his own thoughts and Delphox just seemed busy eating and enjoying the silence, so that was probably why.

"So, how about that boy with the muk? Did you help him find the trainer?" Phoebe asked me, still whispering.

"No," I whispered back. "It was wild, so he caught it."

"Really? That's great!"

"Yeah... Sure it is..."

"Hm? What do you mean?" Phoebe raised a brow at me.

I sighed and explained everything to Phoebe, from all the times Max had acted condescending towards me and other kids at school just because of his dad's title, to when he'd stolen and ripped Greninja's card. By the end of the story, Phoebe looked horrified.

"Really? He did all that? Why would that muk choose him?!" Phoebe gasped.

"I'm not sure, but I-"

Then, a man in a black suit and red tie walked into the room, clearing his throat loudly. He looked like an older version of Max.

"Max, come here." The man said loudly and sharply.

Max stood up and walked over to his dad shakily, leaving Muk's card on the table, but Muk picked it up and followed Max. Max glared at it, but it was too late now. His dad saw Muk and sent a questioning look Max's way.

"Care to explain?" He gestured to Muk.

"Da- Father... Why are you here?" Max asked. The entire room was watching him now, and you could tell he was both nervous and embarrassed by this.

"I came here to check on you. Now, what do you have a muk for, Son?"

"Uh... It wouldn't stop following me... So I caught it..."

"Alright. Well I guess you wouldn't mind so much since it's a dark type." The Ontarian champion looked condescendingly at Muk. "Doesn't look it though. How strong is it in battle?"

"I haven't tested that out yet..."

"Well then. I guess we should do that now."

Max just nodded, resigned to his fate. Muk hated seeing his trainer so worried and tried talking to him to cheer him up, but Max just walked out of the room with his father following him. They started heading towards the next building, the one where the gym was.

"C'mon, I wanna watch!" Gaia grinned and ran after them. Phoebe and I got our partners and gave chase as well, with Pearl and Trinity close behind. Andrea and Jolteon came along to keep us all out of trouble, and Loon got up, sighing. He left and L.G. followed in much less of a hurry than the rest of us.

"Alright, do you need a ref?" Loon asked as he walked into the gym. Max and his dad were already facing each other from opposite sides of the room, and me and my friends sat on a bench on the sidelines.

"Sure. Thank you Professor." Max's dad nodded. Loon walked to the middle of the battlefield, off to the side, and L.G. stood by the bench.

"This battle is between Richard Anderson, the Ontarian Champion, and his son Max. It's a one on one battle with no substitutions. Battle begin!"

"Alright Malamar, you know what to do." Max's dad called to his partner. "And no psychic type attacks!"

Malamar nodded back at him and used brutal swing. Muk tried to dodge but got hit. Malamar was very well trained and at a very high level, so it dealt plenty of damage easily.

"Again." Max's dad commanded his pokemon. Malamar used brutal swing again, just as Max shouted at Muk to get back up and be ready to dodge.

Muk dodged successfully this time, knowing it couldn't afford to be hit once more. It looked at Max, waiting for its next command, which gave Malamar a chance to use hyper beam.

"Muk dodge!" Max screamed.

Muk saw his trainer's panic and slid to the side, just barely dodging in time. Taking charge for only a minute, it used toxic without command. That way maybe it could just dodge and slowly beat Malamar up with its poison.

"Good job Muk!" Max praised. "Now use poison jab! If you have it that is..."

Muk nodded and ran towards Malamar, using poison jab as it was still recovering energy from using hyper beam. Malamar was able to move the next minute and used brutal swing once again, this time landing a hit.

"Excellent job Malamar." Max's dad grinned at his pokemon. "If it gets up, finish it off with hyper beam."

"Muk, you alright?" Max called to his pokemon, who didn't respond. Professor Loon walked over to Muk to see if he was okay.

"Muk is unable to battle, so Malamar wins!" He announced. Max's dad grinned and tossed a pecha berry to Malamar. Max sighed and returned Muk to his card.

"Sorry I failed you." He whispered into the card, then to himself. "Looks like I'll be losing another pokemon today..."

Greninja seemed to hear it too, and the two of us started paying more attention along with Phoebe and her Delphox. Nobody else seemed to notice, but at this point everyone else was leaving the gym except for Professor Loon, L.G, and Max's dad. We watched Max walk over to his dad with his head down in shame.

"Well Max, what was my rule?"

"No catching any pokemon that can't beat Malamar..."

"That's right." Max's dad nodded. "Now hand the card over."

Professor Loon almost spoke up, but seemed to change his mind at the last moment. Although he and L.G. both seemed frustrated, neither one interfered.

"Hey, if it's alright, may I have Muk's card instead?"

'What are you doing?!'

'Something. Just wait.'

Everyone looked at me in shock, even my own partner. Max looked at his dad, who was staring at me. Finally, he smiled and nodded.

"You would be the type of person to take in weak pokemon, wouldn't you? Very well young lady, you can have it."

"Thanks Mr.Anderson!" I walked over to the group as everyone but Greninja and Max's dad gave me questioning looks.

"Here you go." Max handed the card to me, seeming a little nervous.

"Thanks." I nodded at Max and left the gym with Greninja, Phoebe and Delphox close behind. Delphox and Greninja started talking to each other in their own language, getting along quite nicely while Phoebe and I took our turn to ignore each other and stay in silence. It was the opposite of what had happened in the cafeteria at supper.

- Later that day, (third person perspective) -

Max opened his cabin door. Something was making some noise outside. He hadn't done much since his battle with his dad, but he couldn't deny feeling upset enough to just want to punch someone in the face for what had happened.

"I knew it was a dumb idea... Why did I let Muk follow me?" He grumbled to himself, rolling out of his bed and dragging his feet towards the door. When he opened it, nothing was there.

"Hm? Hello, anyone there?" He called. His cabin mates started to snicker from behind him, and he whipped around to scowl at them. "Oi! What's so funny?!"

Before anyone could answer they all burst out laughing and Muk popped up in front of Max, yelling in joy.

"Muk?! What are you doing here? I thought you were with Alyssa!"

"Dude, how did you not see him sneak in as soon as you opened the door?" Someone called out.

Muk handed his card to Max, smiling happily. Max just stared, then smiled. "Nice. Guess you're staying with me after all!" He exclaimed, a bit awkwardly.

- In Cabin Primarina's Room (Alyssa's perspective) -

"Do you think Max will take Muk back?" Gaia asked.

"Yeah, I think he will." I replied. "I don't need another pokemon right now anyways. Especially if it doesn't want me as its trainer. I've got the perfect team right here with me already!"

"Do you think it can find its way back without making a mess?"

"Sure it can! It didn't make a mess crawling around earlier, did it?"

"No, I suppose not." Eve shrugged and smiled.

"I think we did the best we could with the situation." Greninja smiled. "And by the way, it's suddenly quieter now. What happened?"

"I don't know, but I noticed it too. There's not as much background noise as there was before." Aubrey pointed out.

"Guys, the rain stopped!" Froakie yelled, hopping up and down on the window ledge happily. Greninja snapped his fingers and grinned.

"That's it! Good job Kiki!"

"Oi, don't call me that!" Froakie laughed.

"Did someone use sunny day or something? It was coming down hard just a minute ago." Pearl wondered aloud.

"Who cares? Now the pool is open and we can all go swimming!" Popplio squealed.

We all laughed at her antics, but we agreed as well since the sun was warming and drying everything rather quickly and we still had some time between our lecture and second game to do whatever we wanted. Others were already rushing to the pool, we could hear them as we got ready to go. And so, swimming we went.
