Sapphire POV

We set out this morning.

And no, we weren't going to the Foret Camp... Yet.

We were going to get Julie.

Now, don't think I don't like Julie... I do...! But... I think it would be easier if Julie wasn't with us. It's... Weird! It's really, really, weird to be traveling with a human.

There are the perks, like nobody will try and catch us. But it makes it a lot easier to communicate with other Pokemon when she's not there.

We were only about halfway through the forest- me, Aurora, Gardevoir, Asha, Dare, and Flicker.

    ...not Shadow.

    I shoved the thought away when Aurora, who was walking in front of me, skidded to a halt. I slammed into her and snapped, "Hey!" But she ignored me.

    Gardevoir paused too, raising her head to the sky. Aurora muttered, "I sense something."

    "Me too," Gardevoir agreed.

    My annoyance turned to curiosity. "What?"

    Suddenly Aurora gasped and stared at the sky.

    A big, dark shadow flew over us, its wings spread wide. I could almost feel the blue electricity radiating from it.

    The next thing I knew, the shadow was gone.

    "That's him," Flicker said. I turned to him and him with wide eyes and a pale face. "That's... That's the one that attacked me!"

    Aurora looked horrified.

    "Zekrom," she whispered.

    Aurora POV

    I still felt sickened when we entered the town. Zekrom? Here? Flicker was right! Zekrom is coming for us!

    A few passerby gave us weird looks, but thankfully no one tried to catch us. They probably think our trainer is waiting for us somewhere.

    "I don't see her anywhere," Dare said, who hasn't spoken since Zekrom flew over us.

    I realized he was right. "Yeah... Do you think she's inside?"

    We entered every building, searched every corner of the city. When we all regrouped in the middle of town, we knew it was true.
  
    "Julie's not here," I said.

    "Great!" Asha said, clearly irritated. "The human's missing, the Zorua's gone-"

    "They have names, you know," I muttered.

    "-and a legendary Pokemon is stalking us!" Asha finished, crossing her arms. "This is just great."

     Gardevoir said quietly, "I'm sorry, but... Liana may have...."

    She didn't have to finish. We all knew that Julie could have been kidnapped as well.

    "But I thought they caught Pokemon," Sapphire argued. "And they only took their Pokemon's trainer. She wasn't a trainer!"

    Nobody responded.

    "Can you hear me?" Sapphire snapped. "I'm talking to- hey!"

    She stumbled as someone ran right into her. Her vines appeared and she spun around, ready to whip whoever had hit her. "How dare-!"

    Sapphire fell silent when she saw the Zoroark giving her a weird look. "Shadow?" She asked, and I took note of how hopeful she sounded. "I missed-"

    The Zoroark snorted. "Who's Shadow?" He asked in a gruff voice. He flashed a toothy smile at everyone, spun around, and darted away.

    Sapphire's face turned bright red. She mumbled something and stared at the ground.

    "Sapphire," I whispered, "I'm sorry about Shadow."

    "Shut up," she said violently.

    I did.
