Aurora POV

    "Hello?" I asked cautiously, stepping into the cave.

    It wasn't a very large cave. And it was almost completely empty, except for a small feather cot in the back. From there, I could see the back of a small Charmander, streaked in jet black, with a weak flame on his tail.

    At my call, he hazily lifts his head, revealing emerald green eyes. "Wh-Whoo- Aaare- yooou."

    I blinked, and Wartortle whispered, "his injuries damaged his vocal cords," to me.

    "Um," I said, "my name is Aurora."

    "I-I-" he paused to take a deep breath. "I- aaam Flicker."

    "Flicker?"

    "Ye-es."

    I blinked again. "What happened to you?" I stared at his black marks.

    He said nothing.

    "Why won't you tell me?"

    Still, nothing.

    I stepped closer to him and sat down. "You can trust me," I said earnestly. "Even if it's embarrassing, I won't judge. Really."

    He closed his emerald eyes and said, "Yo-ou w-won-n't beee-lieve me."

    "I'll believe you," I said.

    Suddenly his eyes opened, horror in his eyes. I thought he had seen something, but when I glanced behind me, I realized he was just recalling what had happened.

    "Ze-ekrom att-attaaa-cked me," he said.

    Wartortle gasped. I stared.

    "Zekrom... Attacked you?"
   
    "Ye-es. I w-was wa-alking thr-rough the woo-oods, an' b-big, blaack drag-gon at-tacked."

    One word raced through my mind.

    Liana.

    "Was there a red-haired human with him? By any chance?" I asked hopefully.

    Flicker shook his head. "N-No, the-ere waas no-ot."

    We talked for a few more minutes, in which he explained that he had been peacefully walking around when Zekrom landed in front of him, and tried to attack him. He got electrocuted once, and landed himself with all those marks. Zekrom looked slightly surprised, like he had only realized something, and flew away real fast, leaving Flicker there. Flicker, severely injured, walked for quite a while, and tries to cool himself down by walking in the snow. By then, he could barely think, and passed out. He then woke up in the cave to see an Audino standing over him.

    "Thank you," I told him. "You have no idea how important this information is."

    As I was leaving, I heard Wartortle say, "what got you to tell her?"

    "Sh-She is ver-ry pr-retty."

    I blushed a little as I exited the cave. Did he really think I was pretty? Well, not to admit, I sort of am. It's just kind of an Espeon thing, I suppose. And a Sylveon thing too.

    But that didn't matter. What did matter was that Zekrom was out on the loose, and was attacking innocent Pokemon.

    He's coming for us.
