I have captured only one shiny through out the pokemon games so far. I encountered one when I was little and was playing with my brothers. It was a shiny Muk. We didn't really know about shinnies or anything like that. We just played regularly. My oldest brother accidentally made it fainted with a flamethrower. That Muk remained a mystery until I found out about a wide range of Pokemon info a few years back.

Anyway, it was first time play Pokemon Y. I got in the middle of June, I believe. I know I got the game really late but I didn't have a 3DS at the time. It was my second or so night playing it. I exited Parfrum Palace after solving that stupid Fufrou puzzle!!! It took me twenty minutes to figure that out. It was frustrating. I enter the tall grass on the way out. I found a Honedge. I forgot it was part steel and had my Charmander use Ember.

It fainted and I was really disappointed because I wanted one so badly. I found a female Espurr. I decided to catch. It was a new Pokemon so I figured why not? Literally the next encounter I have is a shiny male Espurr! Right after I caught a normal one. After I saw its uncommon pinkness and the beautiful shower of sparkles I knew it was a shiny.

I am freaking out in my room. I am screaming into my beanbag with joy. (I always play Pokemon on the beanbag). I have my Charmander use a Scratch and an Ember. Espurr suffers a burn. He's in the red. Now or never. My Pokeball rolls of my hand an bounces of its fur. 1...2....3....click. I caught it!

I named him Es and brought him all the way to the Elite four. I love shiny Meowstic; only male. He is the only shiny I have knowingly found and caught. He has definitely made some where in my top ten favorite Pokemon list. (That might be a chapter). I boxed the other one and never used it. Yeah, kind of cruel but shiny Espurr!
