Chapter 10
Drake and his team appeared above water and Drakes Weavile acted quickly by using ice beam to create an ice platform for them all to land on.
"Good job Thorn" Drake said as they balanced themselves out and Drake put the Peril in his pocket to be safe that he didn't tap it three times again.
"Now how are we going to go about this?" Bell asked and the team looked at Drake.
"Okay so we know nothing about this island beside the fact that this storm has been surrounding it for about ten years, and the Dragonite that we are looking for has supposedly been here for three of this years." Drake said and looked at the island in front of them and the storm behind them crackling with thunder and lightning.
"Nothing can pass through that" Aaron whistles and his Alakazam nodded looking at the storm with awe.
"Okay let's get to the island and then go from there" Drake said and his Weavile used Ice Beam every jump they made till the five got to the sandy beach of the north side of the island.
"Now what?" Brian asked looking around with his arms crossed. Suddenly there was a flash of white in the trees in front of them and they were all geared and ready standing in a line with their Pokémon at their sides and the water behind them.
"Well first things first" Drake said "we're being watched, but how do we deal with it? We know nothing of this island or the things on it, so what do you all want to do first?"
Drake looked at his team and they all scanned the forest for threats and then Brian sighed and relaxed his weapons and put his arms above his head.
"Looks like it was just a false—" suddenly the same flash of white appeared in front of him. A Shiny Zeraora, a pokemon that hadn't been seen in centuries, was right in front of his eyes, but it was too fast for the others to see. Brian could only watch as the mythical Pokémon's fist rammed into his chin and its foot tapped the side of Aegislash's shield.
Both Brian and Slash went down there and then, Aegishalsh was KO'd and Brian though conscious, couldn't seem to be able to move his limbs. The rest of the team was now on full alert and Bell knelt down and picked Brian back to his feet again, but his legs wouldn't support his weight and his arms seemed like jelly.
"What happened?" Bell asked setting him against his Pokémon.
"One second I'm trying to say that there's nothing to worry about and then a freaking white and red Zeraora appears in front of me, socks me in the face and taps Aegis with his foot, and we're both on the ground" Brian said, "it did something to the both of us, I can't feel my limbs at all, it's like there not even there. How is that possible?"
"Did you just say a white and red Zeraora did this to you?" Drake asked in disbelief, and Brian nodded.
"Okay then I guess we won't be storming the forest anymore, I guess it's time to improvise" Drake said and stepped forwards with a hand out telling the others to stay back. "Okay we know that you're there, come out, I want to talk to you in peace."
Suddenly there was a flash of white in front of Drake and stood less than a foot away from him, easily able to touch him if needed knowing that Drake wouldn't be able to avoid it. Drake was very surprised by the sudden appearance, but didn't show his unease visibly.
"Okay, you weren't lying" Drake said and Brian wasn't able to say anything. In fact the entire team was shocked, there stood the Mythical Zeraora, and it was even a different variant than a normal Zeraora that has been seen in the past.
Both the men and women of the team couldn't disagree that this was a beautiful Pokémon. It's fur was a prestige white the gleaned in the daylight, the red patches of its fur made its look even more fearsome as it stood in front of them, the red of its pads helped a little towards this.
"Okay. I must say that you are a very beautiful Pokémon" Bell said and the Zeraora didn't so much as look at her, it stayed focused on Drake with all its attention, but they all knew that it was watching them as well.
"Thank you for coming" Drake said calmly and the Zeraora didn't budge. "I guess that I'll get straight down to business then" Drake looked into the creature's eyes and the Zeraora did the same.
"We are looking for something on this island, you may already know what it is, but I would like to ask you anyways as you seem to be the protector of this island" Drake said and the Zeraora didn't show a reaction, "we are looking for a Dragonite" the Zeraora's claws flexed a little and that was all the reaction that they had gotten.
"Okay you must know what I am talking about" Drake said, "will you help us find this Dragonite?" This seemed to anger the Pokémon greatly, as both of its claws cane out unsheathed and ready to cut Drake into ribbons if he didn't tread carefully.
"I am not asking you to help us defeat it, just merely find it" he asked and the Zeraora slowly moved its claws up to Drakes neck and kept them there. It deliberately did that because it was two things, a warning that it was much stronger and much faster than all of them combined, and it was a test of Drake's determination at this mission. Drake let the natural blades touch his neck and he didn't move a muscle. The others were filed with dread and Fia, who was thinking about sneaking away, didn't move a muscle.
One more wrong thing that Drake said may lead to his death and the potential death of his team. This Pokémon wasn't even using its powers and they were all already at its mercy.
"How about this?" This was Drake's last chance and he rushed to think about something that could get this Pokémon to help them. It didn't have a need for money, or food as it was perfectly able to handle itself. "If you help us find this Dragonite, well show you a way off of this island"
The Zeraora seemed conflicted, and it's claws retracted and it stepped back and went to the edge of the forest where it paced in thought.
———————<1st POV>——————
The second I heard that this was a possibility that I could get out of here and be able to explore the outside of this island. I couldn't kill the human, but I couldn't betray Mr. Dragonite either. What was I to do? Do I knock them out and go back to the city to ask him if he wants to fight them? But they could do some dirty thing that isn't fair in a fight, especially a five versus one Pokémon fight, even if he's a totem Pokémon I didn't think that he'd be able to handle these skilled assassin's Pokémon.
I thought about it and paced, every question and it's answer brought me only anger, and it got to the point where I got back to the question that I couldn't answer. What do I do?
I growled and punched through a nearby tree, causing it to explode into splinters and fall into the trees. I didn't know what to do. I wanted too many things, but I couldn't have them all:
I wanted off of this island, but I also wanted to protect this island too; I wanted to keep Mr. Dragonite alive, but I wanted to get off of this island, I wanted to meet the best assassin in the world and fight them and their Pokémon, and maybe have them train me in sword fighting. Wait that's what I could do, if I sent these people back to where they came from I would be able to meet the people that are stronger than them, and maybe I would eventually meet the person that this sword belonged to and I would be able to join them.
"Wait what's that on his back?" One of the female humans behind the leader asked pointing at the sword that I had strapped to my back, and I shrugged in my head. I can still find a way to send them back, let's see, ten beings, and two days for one person, and depending on their strength of mind they'll be able to break it in around a day or less. It's only been minutes and I could already feel that the first ones that I had touched were starting to recover.
I pulled out the sword from where I had it against my back and I walked forwards a bit so that they could see the sword and the inscription on it. Once they did they all stepped back.
"No wonder it's so strong it's Black Blade's Pokemon?!" The one on the ground exclaimed and I shook my head, and he looked at me conflicted once again. "Wait your not her Pokémon?" I shook my head once again and he shut his mouth.
"So why do you have her sword then?" The leader now asked, a step further away than he was before. I slid the sword back between the vines around my body and looked at him. Here come the questions...
"Where'd you get it from them?" I pointed around me, "this island, you found it here?" I nodded at the woman that asked.
"Do you know who's it belongs to?" I shook my head and the guy with the Alakazam as a partner was about to further that question but the leader stopped him.
"It doesn't need to know about her, she is the one that is going to be coming here because we have failed" the leader said and I looked at him in surprise. I pointed to the sword on my back and then I pointed to the ocean, how they got here, and then pointed down, 'their coming here?'
"If I understand correctly your asking is the owner of that sword is going to be coming here because we have failed?" The leader asked and I nodded my head filled with excitement.
"Yes she goes by Black Blade, and she will be coming here to defeat you, claim that Dragonite, and her sword" the leader said and I couldn't stop myself. I jumped with joy, literally, I hopped up once, then twice in front of them, and then jumped up and ran around the island a few times to get rid of the energy building inside of me real quick. Then I cut off a large piece of bark and went to another tree and cut off another piece of bark.
I reappeared with the two pieces of bark, two messages written on them, and hopefully either they had a Pokémon that could translate, or they had an ability to understand my writing, but either way I wouldn't let them go back without these. One was for the one that hired them, and another was for the Dark Blade person that I would be seeing soon.
I stood with the two tablets in my hands, showed them to the five and then set them on the ground and grinned. The next second was me zooming through them and touching them to redirect the correct flow of electricity in their bodies to keep their neurons and nerves from connecting with their limbs to move them. I then set them all in a large pile, humans in the middle, Pokemon leaning on their respective trainers on the outside. All of them touching, and I looked around. I didn't bother to take their weapons, they couldn't do anything to me anyways, I had to KO the Alakazam because I didn't want it to use it's physic powers on me to keep me immobilized while I searched them.
Eventually I found something that I didn't consider to be normal and I held it in between two fingers. It was brimming with electric power, I would've loved to steal its electricity there and then but it was probably important for them getting back, so I held it up and looked at the leader who was looking at me wide eyed.
"That's how we're getting back, be careful with it, it activates by tapping the surface three times, and if you were to do it accidentally I don't think you'd like being surrounded by some very strong people and Pokémon."
I grinned again. Why would you tell me that? Did you think I would give in to your deal after I knew what this did? I tapped the man's head with it twice. Then I made sure that they all were touching.
Then I threw it and nailed the leader in the forehead with it again and they all disappeared. Good, now it's back to training until this Black Blade human female comes to visit.
