To The Mountains
•~Kirishima's P.O.V~•
Training had finished and it was finally time to leave. We each had a Pidgeotto, so we started our leave by wing.
'Try not to move to much while on their backs.' Izuku called.
'Yeah, yeah. You can stop worrying.' Katsuki murmured as he swooped over some falling rocks.
Shouto had been quiet since this morning. I tried to get him to speak, but, he just ignored me. I wanted to know what was going on, but, I just didn't know how to get the answers I was looking for. After a couple hour flight, we managed to cover two and a half mountains before our Pokémon needed a rest.
'Well, let's get going. We'll take small breaks along the way.' Izuku said, bringing in his shiny Charizard.
We brought in our Pidgeotto's before walking. Katsuki took the lead while Izuku brought up the rear.
"That's strange," I thought, looking back at Izuku. "He's usually in front. But, he also seems more distant than usual. He's been saying less things and been relying on his Pokémon more. Just what's going on?"
'Hey Kirishima.'
I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to face Shouto.
'What up?' I asked.
'You've been seeing it too, haven't you?' He said.
'Huh?' I was confused as to what he meant.
Sighing he said, 'you've seen how Midoriya has been acting different.'
'Oh, that. Yeah, I have. What about it?'
'Well, I-' He trailed off.
I looked back behind us.
'He's gone! Where'd he go?!' I yelled, not seeing Izuku anywhere.
'S-sorry about that.'
Izuku walked round the side of the rocky cliff.
'I was in a trail of thought and I guess I slowed down.' He said.
'Jeez. Don't do that again.' I sighed in relief.
I walked over to him and grabbed his arm.
'You're staying with me.' I murmured, walking after Katsuki.
We carried on. We walked and walked for what seemed forever, stopping a few times to rest our legs and have a quick drink before continuing to walk. I looked up at the sky, seeing the sun right above us. I sighed as I followed after Shouto. I kept a tight grip on Izuku, making sure he was still with us, till I felt his arm go limp in my hand. I looked back at him, seeing him start to fall over. I caught him. I tried to get him back up, but, he was out cold.
'Uh, guys?' I called, making Katsuki and Shouto turn back round as I placed Izuku on the ground. 'Something's wrong with Midoriya.'
'What the hell?!' Katsuki yelled, running over to me.
He placed his hand on Izuku's neck, feeling for his pulse.
'He's not breathing...' Katsuki murmured, freezing where he was.
'WHAT?!' Shouto and I yelled.
'What do we do?!' I asked no one in particular.
'CPR?' Shouto suggested.
'Who knows how to properly do it?' I asked.
We had all started panicking, not knowing what we could do. Suddenly, Izuku's last Pokémon came out. It stood next to his head, placing it's tiny hand on his forehead. It started glowing a bright pink. We just stared at it, watching as it pulsed it's magic through Izuku's body. After a few minutes, it stopped and flew away from Izuku. It pointed over at Katsuki. Katsuki immediately checked Izuku's pulse again. A few moments passed before he sighed in relief.
'He's ok.' Katsuki murmured, placing a hand on his chest to steady his heart.
I let go of the breath I didn't realise I was holding.
'Thank Arceus he's alive,' I said, collapsing to my knees. I turned my head to the pink Pokémon saying, 'thank you.'
'Mew!' The Pokémon said, flying round our heads.
'Mew? Wait, the legendary Pokémon Mew?!' Shouto exclaimed, staring at the pink Pokémon.
'What?! The rumours were true?' I said.
'Wait. If it's true that Mew was captured... does that mean the curse is also true as well?' Katsuki asked, looking up and us.
We all looked at each other then at Mew and back. Mew just flew around our heads before landing on my head. Katsuki and I stood back up as Shouto picked Izuku up bridal style. We continued to walk along the mountainside path. Mew stayed on my head, playing with my hair. As we finally reached the fourth mountain, Izuku started to wake up.
'Midoriya/Deku!' We exclaimed staring down at him.
'H-huh? W-what's going on?' Izuku murmured, looking round our faces.
'You're finally awake.' I sighed in relief.
'Y-yeah...' Izuku muttered. 'Wait. What's Mew doing out?!'
'Mew!' Mew flew off my head and landed on Izuku's chest, hugging him.
'Well, I guess that's out now...' Izuku muttered, petting Mew.
We just looked at each other.
'What do you mean?' I asked.
'You've heard the rumours, haven't you?' Izuku said.
'Yeah...' It took me a few moments till I finally got it. 'Ohh... Wait. You mean the curse is real? You really have it?'
'Yeah...' Izuku murmured, looking down at Mew.
'Why'd you keep that from us?' Shouto asked.
'Well...' Izuku started. 'I didn't want to worry you. I just wanted to help you train up. So, I kept it to myself.'
'That just made us worry more.' Katsuki said.
'I'm sorry about that, but... I couldn't bring it up. The curse restricts me.' Izuku said.
'Restricts you? How, though? I thought it just...' Shouto trailed off as Mew started glowing again.
'What's going on?' I asked, fear evident in my voice.
'The curse is just acting up again. Mew here is keeping control of it. That's how I've lasted this long.' Izuku replied.
Mew stopped glowing before going back in it's Pokéball.
'Now, do you mind putting me down?' Izuku asked, a light blush dusting his cheeks.
'A-ah, right.' Shouto stuttered, placing Izuku down.
'You sure you can walk?' I asked, worry evident in my voice.
'Course!' Izuku smiled.
'That's a real smile.' Shouto murmured, smiling himself.
'Well then. Let's go!' Izuku said, walking off.
We all followed after him, glad that he was finally back to his normal self.
