'I think I'm getting the hang of this!' I said as Ivysaur dodged some flying rocks.

'That's good. Though, you also need to control your heart rate and breathing,' Izuku said. 'Keep doing this and your bonds will grow stronger.'

'Thanks man!' I smiled. 'Noibat! Screech!'

Noibat used screech, blowing some rocks away from Ivysaur, all the while swooping high and low to dodge himself. Izuku walked over to Katsuki to help him as well. I looked over to Shouto who seemed a bit down.

"Was is something Midoriya said to him?" I wondered. 'Ivysaur! Noibat! Keep it up!'

'Ivy!' 'Noi!' They said, moving round and using different moves.

I ran over to Shouto to see what's going on.

'Hey, Todoroki!' I called, coming to a halt in front of him.

'Hey Kirishima,' Todo greeted. 'What's up?'

'I was gonna ask you that,' I replied. 'You seemed down. Is everything ok?'

'Is it that obvious?'

'Yeah. Is it.'

'Well...' he looked at the ground. 'I asked Midoriya what his last Pokémon was, though, he said that it brought back a lot of bad memories.'

'What?! Did you forget what Nurse Jenny said? She said not to ask him.'

'I know. I don't know what came over me. As he was walking over to you, he put on a fake smile. It seems as if all his smiles have been fake.'

'Fake?'

'Yeah.'

'Hmm. I'll get Bakubro over here. We can talk about it then.'

I ran over to where Katsuki was training. Izuku had already finished, but, was no where to be seen.

'Hey Bakubro!' I called.

'What, weird hair?' Katsuki asked, a growl in his voice.

'Jeez. Calm down bro. We just wanted to talk.'

'About what?'

I waved my hand for Shouto to come over.

'We want to know what's going on with Midoriya.' I said.

'Deku? What do you mean?' Katsuki asked.

'He hasn't been true to himself,' Shouto said. 'He's been smiling fake smiles.'

'Ok?' Katsuki murmured.

'What he means is that something's wrong with Midoriya and it might have something to do with his last Pokémon. The one he never talks about.' I said.

'And what do you think we should do about this?' Katsuki asked.

'You know how you asked Midoriya about a star shaped Pokémon? Jirachi was it?' I said.

'Yeah.' Katsuki replied.

'It's a wish maker, so, maybe if we find it, we can help Midoriya.' Shouto said.

'But, we don't know where to find it.' I sighed.

'Hold that thought,' Katsuki said, searching round in his bag till he pulled out a card of some sort. 'The mountains you will go. The mountains you will stay. There you will find your true self. Far, far away.'

'Uhh...' I was clueless as to what that meant.

I was about to ask when I heard someone call out behind us.

'Hey guys! We'll be staying here for a few nights so you can all train up.' Izuku called.

'Where'd you go?' I asked.

'To go find some new tents. I swapped one out for two smaller ones. But, I couldn't find anyone who had two others. So, someone will still have to share.' Izuku replied.

'Alright...' We murmured.

'Ah, Deku. Do you know what this means?' Katsuki asked, going up to Izuku and showing him the card.

It was silent while he read it.

'You got a Jirachi card?!' He suddenly yelled.

'Uhh... yeah?' Katsuki replied, not to sure of his answer.

'So you've actually talked with Jirachi! No wonder you asked what Pokémon it was,' Izuku said. 'But, to find him, we have to cross those mountains over there.'

He pointed off to the side of the training grounds over to some mountains. There were about five lined up next to each other.

'There?!' We exclaimed.

'Yep!' Izuku said, chuckling a bit. 'But don't worry. If you catch a flying type and level it up enough, we can fly over there.'

'Well, Bakubro here already has one.' I said.

'Guess we need to go catching.' Shouto said beside me.

'Well then. Let's go!' Izuku said, running off into the plains field in front of us.

Shouto and I followed after him.

'Don't worry about calling your Pokémon back,' Izuku said. 'You just need some Pokéballs with you.'

I looked over to Shouto who just stared back. I shrugged before pressing on, running as fast as I could. I ended up taking over Izuku. Though, he seemed to have stopped. He was completely still with his eyes closed, just, standing in the middle of the field. Shouto and I watched as different Pokémon started gathering around him. There were Butterfree, Pidgies, Pidgiottos, Growlthes, Zigzagoons and another Pokémon. But, I couldn't tell what it was.

'Ok. Take your pick from this group.' Izuku said.

'What's that one?' I asked, pointing over to the one I didn't recognise.

'What the... since when was there a Zapdose here?' Izuku murmured. 'It should be over on the lightning island. Wait, does that mean Articuno and Moltres are here too?'

Izuku kept mumbling to himself as Shouto and I grabbed our Pokéballs, choosing from the large group which ones we wanted. Before we threw, Izuku stopped us.

'Wait. Don't waste your Pokéballs on Pokémon that'll break out,' he said. 'They need to come to you. If you just throw aimlessly, hoping to catch something, you'll just anger the Pokémon and make them attack you. You need to be calm and relaxed.'

I looked over at Shouto who was just as confused as me. We both shrugged before relaxing our bodies, closing our eyes and feeling our surroundings. I slowly opened my eyes to see a Pidgey and a Growlthe in front of me. Kneeling down, I reached out my hands. Both Pokémon brushed their heads against the palm of my hands.

'Hold out your Pokéballs.' Izuku said.

I grabbed two and held them out. The Pokémon both touched the Pokéballs, going inside. A few moments and they were captured.

'Come out, Growlthe and Pidgey!' I yelled, throwing the Pokéballs, allowing the Pokémon to come out.

'Go, Pidgiotto, Butterfree!' Shouto called out next to me, throwing two Pokéballs in which those two Pokémon came out.

'Great job!' Izuku smiled.

I also smiled, looking from my new Pokémon over to Shouto's.

'Now then. It's time to go back. We should train up some more while the sun is still out.' Izuku said, wlaking off.

'What about that Pokémon? You never really answered my question.' I said.

'It's a Zapdose. One of the members of the legendary bird trio,' Izuku replied. 'It's very strong, so, there's really no need to do anything about it.'

'What if someone comes by and captures it?' Shouto asked.

'Don't worry. Though, we should worry as the other two birds will be on their way here. You don't want to get caught up in their fight.' Izuku said, walking off.

We called our Pokémon back before following after him.

'Was that a fake smile?' I asked.

'I-I'm not so sure,' Shouto replied. 'All I know is that we need to finish training soon so we can go find Jirachi.'

'That's true. Well, let's get training!' I cheered.
