Flourish and Blotts

Severus stepped inside the crowded full wizarding book shop. Ignoring the calls of greeting from colleges and the hopeful gazes of the many women in the shop he made his way to the owner. A short man with wrinkles on his face and greying black hair smiled at him in greeting, "Professor, good to see you. What can I do you for?" Severus merely nodded back and his onyx eyes scanned over the many witches and wizards. "I would like to speak to you in private.." The owner of the shop gave him a curious look and nodded leading him to a door behind a large shelf of book, "Would this be alright?" Severus inspected the room then glanced back at the crowd. "Yes. It will be imperative that we are not interrupted or heard."
He closed the door and cast a silencing charm as well as one that would keep everyone out of the room. "Now, what is this all about?" The owner asked. "You may have heard that Miss Hermione Granger disappeared not so long ago." The owner had a look of understanding dawn on his face and was about to say something but was cut off by a silencing look from Severus.
"The night before last Miss Granger somehow sent me a clue." He took the book from his cloak and opened to the page with the clue showing it to the owner. "I was hoping you would know if where or who this house belongs to." The owner took out his glasses and looked closely at the picture, "Hm..well I don't know who that house belongs to but I can tell you how to find out where it is."
Severus eagerly leaned forward as the owner cleared his throat. "I heard that before she disappeared Miss Granger went to see Mr. Weasley. You know? The red headed jokester, I think he was once one of your students right?" Severus sighed in extreme annoyance snatching the book back. "Thank you for your help."  He swiftly turned and stalked out of the shop his cape swishing behind him.

The trio sat at a table in front of a restaurant across Flourish and Blotts hiding behind menus. They each took a turn glancing up to see if Severus had left yet. Ron sighed and grumbled, "When is that blasted git going to come out?" Harry thumped him causing him to yelp in pain. "I've told you to stop calling him that and be patient!" Ginny shushed them smacking them both with her menu.
"Quiet, both of you! He's coming out." Ron and Harry quickly grabbed their menus and hid behind them watching Severus walks out and into the joke shop. "Why is he going in there? Obviously to not by anything." Ron muttered. Harry and Ginny rolled their eyes as they got up and made their way to the George's joke shop. They saw Severus talk to a girl at the cash register; she seemed to nod and disappeared in the back.
"Come on, hurry!" Ginny took both of their hands and dragged them to the back of the shop where a door resided. She knocked and and whisper shouted, "George! It's Ginny, Harry, and Ron. Please, let us in!" They heard footsteps then the door opened revealing an older George with fiery red hair almost below his ears.
"Well hello sis! It's been too long!" He playfully winked and pulled them inside giving them all a tight squeeze. "What brings you all to my humble joke abode?" Ginny, Ron, and Harry all shared a look before handing him the newspaper showing Hermione's missing add. "Mione went missing about a week after summer started and no one's seen her since." Ron started glancing at Harry to continue. "Snape has already started to search for her and McGonagall has asked us to follow him in secret. We followed him here and we're certain he's going to ask for you to give information." Ginny cleared her throat and leaned over, "We're asking you to tell us quickly if Hermione came to see you before she disappeared."
George started at them in surprise his jaw dropped in shock the newspaper limp in his hands. "She- She's gone? How? Who?" He got himself together and ran a hand through his red hair. "Yes, she did come to see me. She looked kind of distressed honestly, she said she had the feeling something was going to happen that someone was watching her." They all listened intently as George talked watching him with interested eyes. "I asked her what I could do to help and she said that I couldn't tell anyone unless they came to me asking specifically. She gave me this.." He dug around in the desk in the corner of the room eventually pulling out an old looking notebook and a dusty quill.
"What is that?" Harry asked gently taking the notebook in his hands while Ron took the quill. George shrugged, "I don't remember her saying anything when she gave it to me, she was in quite a hurry it seemed like." Suddenly someone knocked on the door and a female voice spoke. "Mr. Weasley, there's a man named Professor Snape here to see you. He says it's important." George glanced at them and sighed shouting back. "Thank you Peggy! I'll be there in a moment!" (If you get that reference I applaud you) "That's probably old Snape." The trio stood up and smiled softly in thanks making their way to the door but they were stopped by George. "Wait! I remember she said something else." Ron looked at him brother impatiently, "Well?"
George swallowed nervously. "Hermione said, 'Give these to Snape.' " He left and the trio looked dumbfounded in his wake.
