~TEN MONTHS LATER~

KATSUKI BAKUGOU COULDN'T HAVE been more ready for anything in his life. He was coming to U.A., a prestigious school for talented heroes-in-training. He would be the best hero even besting All Might, the Number One Hero and ultimate Symbol of Peace.

He would utterly destroy all that stepped in his way just like he did with the little nerd Deku. Speaking of which, he hasn't seen him since the 'incident'. Ten months ago, Bakugou was captured by a sludge villain who held him against his will and used his powers to destroy a part of town. He didn't want to tell anyone but in those few moments, he was terrified, a feeling he had never experienced before then. All the heroes weren't even able to get to him and All Might was nowhere to be seen, all but a stupid, quirkless good for nothing Deku.

Yet that didn't stop him. He was still filled to the brim with anger and confusion at Deku's stupid yet selfless act to run and save him despite him never asking for help. What made him angry the most was being unable to fight back, he had never felt more useless in his life. As a hero, he couldn't be beaten by an easy villain like the sludge monster.

Bakugou kicked a rock walking to the entrance of U.A. where they would be hosting the Entrance Exam trying to get the image of Deku's teary face out of his mind. Other students walked towards the entrance in groups, Bakugou laughing at them for even trying. They would all cower before him once he showed his powers. No one was stronger than him, no one could ever defeat him either. He would be known throughout history as the best hero on Earth!

He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice that he bumped into someone.

The person stumbled before picking themselves up, Katsuki's eyes widened recognizing the bright curly green hair from behind. That obnoxious bed of hair belonging to only one person and staring back at him was Deku in the flesh. Bakugou's blood boiled, his face flushing a deep red of anger as he yelled out his name loudly; "Dekuuu!!!"

He turned around his shocked expression quickly changing to a smile as he waved kindly, "Hi Kacchan. I didn't think I would see you until inside." Bakugou grabbed him by the collar, bringing his face to his own as he exhaled deeply, steam pouring from his nostrils.

"Y-you can't be here! You're quirkless!" Deku's expression dropped a little as he tried to pry off Bakugou's hands from his collar that was now a wrinkled mess.

"Well you wouldn't believe it Kacchan but my quirk came really late." Bakugou dropped him unable to believe the words that left his mouth. That's not right, he's never heard of someone's quirk appearing years after the normal age time. After that is either you have a quirk or not which Deku surely didn't. Unable to fully comprehend the situation, he walked away in a huff trying to sort out his thoughts and question Deku later.

He was rejected, how just how? He couldn't have possibly been hiding his quirk all along could he? He stopped walking, people pushing past him, normally them feeling his wrath but he realized something. What if he had a quirk all along and never displayed it because it's better than mine and he pitied me? He fooled us all by acting weak and kind to everyone because he thought he was stronger than us? Bakugou' slight discomfort with the situation escalated to pure and undiluted hatred for Deku. First chance he had, Bakugou would punch Deku so hard he would forget his own stupid nickname.

The world was made for the weak to stay weak and the strong to prevail, and it has always been that and so shall it remain. Bakugou laughed, yeah he can't pass the exam, he thought entering the building.

Deku found himself in a quite uncomfortable situation facing Kacchan. 'Maybe it appeared later on' as if he or anyone else would believe that. He nervously fidgeted watching as students who were trying out, gathered outside in small cliches and groups as he pondered his strategy. Over the ten-month period, lots of things happened starting from him attempting to rescue Kacchan.

He had to admit that must have been one of the most stupidest things he had ever done. How could he, a quirkless teen, try to save someone like Kacchan who couldn't even save himself from that sticky situation. He still, to that day, couldn't explain why he raced up like that, even though his heart hammered in his chest and his eyes shed tears for his inevitable doom he went to go help the boy who was a childhood friend and his bully. Crazy was what he was.

But because of that stupid decision, it changed his life completely.

That day he met his childhood idol and the Symbol of Peace, All Might, who apparently isn't as invincible as everyone thought he was. He was actually, slowly losing what made him All Might; seriously injured by life scaring battle with a former enemy, limited his strength to only a few hours a day.

All Might noticed Deku's courage to stand up for what is right even if he knew he couldn't help that much, was something that made a hero, a hero. And you wouldn't believe this but- All Might said he could transfer his power to him! Caught up in the excitement Deku forgot how he recently got a quirk and said he was quirkless.

He doesn't know why he lied, maybe because he forgot the quirk he received from Torikkusutā or maybe for other selfish reasons but either way that day was one of the best days ever!

Since then, Deku has been training with All Might prepping his body for the mental and physical strain of a quirk. Alongside that, he also trained with Torikkusutā- whom he hasn't told about All Might. Who knew what they would ask him to do if they did.

Tomura still doesn't like him and Kirogiri has seemed to grow fond of him. Even though they're villains they aren't as bad as they seem- but of course, he would report them once he could use his quirk well enough. But again if he did do that, how does he know they don't have a whole army of villains? It would take time to recruit a lot of heroes and with that amount of heroes they'll know somethings up and once they did it'll lead back to him and once it did happen they would kill him and his mom will be all alone and-

Deku wasn't paying attention to his surroundings as he overthought, tripping over air as he began to fall to the ground.

So he didn't fall to the ground. He opened one eye, the ground looking a lot farther than usual, he looked at himself and his whole body was floating! How was this possible! Was this apart of his quirk? He was certain ALl Might didn't have the power to float.

"Are you okay?" A soft strained voice asked, Deku looked around and found a small girl, his age with short brunette hair, her hands pressed together and sweat lining her forehead.

"Um yes," Deku replied flustered by the sight of a cute girl. Girls never talked to him so he's quite awkward around them whether he likes them or not. She released her hands with a puff of air, Deku falling to the ground with a groan. He scratched his curly green hair looking up to see her hand extended. He took gladly, pulling himself up with a goofy look on his face, "I- um- sorry." He stuttered nervously.

She smiled kindly, wiping her forehead, "It's okay. I'm Ochaco Uraraka!" She waved politely.

"Izuku Midoriya," Deku introduced trying hard not to make any more of a fool of himself. Everyone seemed to start moving towards the building, looking as it's time for the Entrance Exam to start.

"Well, I guess we have to go. Hope to meet you again, Midoriya!" She adjusted her backpack straps before walking to the building.

"Ah! You too!" Deku said before racing past everyone into the building, as much as he was nervous he was also equally excited. This could make or break his whole life and possibly career as a hero. 

Who would have known that day was the beginning of the end for Midoriya Izuku.

Soo I've been gone for months hehe school sucks and so do AP classes. Anydabbles not so proud of this chapter since I didn't have enough time to review and its kind of short but I really wanted to update so here you go! (I'll hopefully go over this chapter again)
