Why do I do this to myself

I spent over an hour shading the FISHNET part in my drawing and you can barely tell there's any shading. I had to erase all of the shaded part except for what would be over the tiny outlines. In my defense, I thought it would show up more. Oh well, I wasted an hour poring over insignificant details, nothing new. (That's why this is taking so long to finish- I get very detail-oriented. Which is why I like to point out small details in my drawings, because that's where a lot of the effort goes.

Another WIP, because I feel like it.

So far I've shaded the chest, arms, face and neck, tattoo, and the fishnet shirt (which you can barely tell). I still have to do the pants, microphone, choker, bracelet, chains, eyes, mouth, and the h a i r, as well as adding the glowing effect on all the edges. I've got a long way to go...

Can I just say that I don't normally use such dark shadows but I felt like making this drawing more dramatic than it already (somewhat) was. I had to make the shadows under the fishnet patterns much darker than I would normally do so you could try to see them. Also look at this:

This might sound weird but those are the best collar bones I've ever shaded
Look at this too:

I got so extra with the cheek bone. Idk I saw it like that in a drawing and figured I'd try to do it and then I liked how it turned out so yeah, d r a m a t i c.

Ok that's enough talking about insignificant details, it's almost 1 in the morning and I should sleep.
