I've been trying to work on the forsaken history project since 1 pm and I've only gotten 2 or 3 slides done, and I need at least 12. Whenever I try to focus, my ADD kicks in and I get distracted (like right now, I spent 30 minutes typing this rant). I try listening to music to help me focus, but more often than not, I end up just listening to the music instead of listening while working. I'm not even motivated to work on it anymore, because at this rate I'll never get it done on time. And since it's an optional project, there's no way I'll be able to turn it in late. I cried at least 3 times today over this stupid project, and I literally haven't cried in months. This mental breakdown is SO NOT WORTH potentially getting my semester grade up to an A.

I would've had a perfectly fine weekend if not for this project. I wouldn't have stressed so much over rushing to finish my math homework so I could rush to finish an entire project by myself. I could've finished my math homework and the last few assignments for the year and just cruise past the last days of school. But no, this goddamn project had to ruin everything. (Sorry for the bad language.)

I don't think I've ever been this stressed out about school work, let alone an optional project.

Oh, and I went on the school homework website to see when the project rubric was first posted. It was posted last Tuesday. Did my teacher think that anyone could finish this in less than a week? I understand that this is meant to be a group project, but it's still a huge assignment, especially when you aren't face to face with your group. Also the rubric said to get into groups of no bigger than 5, but the biggest group I saw on the sign-up sheet was a group of 3. And keep in mind, this sign up sheet was for 3 class periods and hardly anyone signed up.

One last part to this rant: I emailed my teacher on Friday to sign up for this project. So I basically had just a weekend to work on this project BY MYSELF that other people had almost a week to work on IN GROUPS. Hahahahaha I love this! Thank you American history teacher! (It wouldn't have killed you to not make me do as much work on this project considering my circumstances, but that's ok, I don't like you either)
