So in my Emerald playthrough, I finally made it to the elite 4. Here was my team:

I'm feeling good, since I finally got out of Victory Road (I was going in circles for hours). I heal my team, save first, then enter the first room. I'm bopping to the E4 theme, and Sidney threw out a Mightyena and it was level 46. My smile faded instantly. I somehow managed to beat him (his team really isn't that difficult), then I went on to Phoebe and lost halfway through her team. More grinding, and I got my team to level 45's and 46's.
