Seriously. I'm not exaggerating. I don't have very many friends but they are super close. If I continually work with someone/people then I consider them a friend (sorta). I'm naturally quiet and shy. You can imagine that won't lead to making many friends. Also I make friends based on interests- and a lot o the people my age aren't interested in anything I like. So that's more salt in the wound. I don't come off as stern or awkward (at least I don't think so) but I guess I come off as antisocial, quiet, nerd.

I'm telling you, the entire second semester of my biology class I didn't speak to anyone. My only friend in the class dropped to standard biology so I was alone. Everyone already established their friends and so I was just there. An outsider. No one acknowledged my existence. It was hard. (I'm actually crying a little bit writing this.) And to that one friend, this isn't your fault. Don't feel bad.

One day in class some people were creating a big class group chat. I asked someone to add me in, hoping to make some friends. Unfortunately no one really texted in it other than quizlets for the tests. But there is this one gem-
