Truth was written on his heart and tongue,

He was most ardent in Allah's religion.

The Satan flee from the street,

Where, The mighty sahaba, 'umar he'd meet.

The prophet titled him Al farooq,

For he distinguished between the truth and crook.

To the righteous companions, he was so dearer

Cos Allah granted him Islam through prophet's prayer.

The strong caliph, with a heart of gold

Stern in rule, in speech he was bold.

Yet his heart was so soft and tender

As he'd cry remembering Allah and His messenger.

The just ruler, a blessing upon Islam

Second to Abu bakr, in the heights of Iman.

The Love of Allah, was the life for this man

He was stabbed to death while standing as an imam.

He was the caliph of the caliph of rasulullah,

Who had the honour of dying in salah.
