A moment of joy, a moment of peace
Thousands of promises, hopes and glee.

A new beginning, miles ahead
A hundred tears of pure-bliss shed.

Leaving behind the comfortable cocoon
Of mamma's lap and your cozy room.

Not to mention the warm embrace of your dad,
The perfect cure when your day has been bad.

Giving yourself to a stranger man
As you step into a new degree of Iman.

Together living, seeking the pleasure of Allah,
Your goal Jannah - the eternal falah*

I pray to Allah to grant you Paradise
Grant you kids, the coolness of your eyes

Keep the 'rejected one' away from you
Shelter you in His mercy and love, for He is Al Wadud.
