Firmest in truth, purest in creed
The best of companions, the first to believe.

The one most loved by the beloved of Allah,
As Siddeeq was his title, given by rasulullah.

He was with the prophet through every glee and pain,
Standing a strong guard, seeking no wordly gain.

The first caliph, with a heart most generous
The kindest soul, a man most fabulous.

Strong in belief, gentle as rain
Allah addressed him as thani yathnain.

It was enough for this man to boost up his zeal,
When the prophet said 'i'd have taken abu bakr as my khaleel"

When the sahabas compared who among them was best,
Without doubt, al ateeq had a degree over the rest.
