An Nisa, a term too familiar,
Allah named a surah in their favour.

With her birth she brings tidings of paradise,
Beloved to mother, coolness of father's eyes.

Guarding her chastity, a pearl in its shell;
Seeking paradise and refuge from hell.

Modesty the key motto of her life,
Completes the deen of a man, as she becomes his wife.

With pain and love, she gives birth to children;
Under her feet lies their path to heaven.

The success of her children is the fruit of her vision,
To make them the inheritors of paradise, is her mission.

A woman surely is a blessing from Allah,
As she lives pleasing her Lord, performing salah.

But behold. she can be a form of wrath,
If she goes astray from the straight path.
