Lies and Truths
I was looking at this world through a looking glass.
But let not your human eyes be deceived,
I was a eight year old girl,
I wasn't ready for this world.
But now as an older woman this world better be ready for me,
because now I'm more than ready for it.
If you stand against that,
then you have another thing coming,
a fight with me.
Drop you shell of a skin
and play everything back to me.
Tell me what you see through the water, that bends and twist what you see.
Seek the truth and nothing else will matter,
because between the bend is the truth.
In the water lays lies, and truths that tell on themselves.
It only matters to what you have tuned your ears too.
Is it the voice of the frogs or what the voices of the Earth speak?
Look deeper through this watery devotion,
then tell me what you see.
Now who do you stand with is it me or the opposing army.
I'll pick up my knife,
now do you do the same, or do you pick up your gun?
But remember those bullets will run away,
but even when my knife becomes rusty, she can still stay,
She'll be a even better weapon that way.
But without ammo you don't have anything.
With a knife I'll always have a blade,
even when she's dull, she'll still be mine.
But when your gun is covered in mud he'll no longer fight.
So tell me again,
who do you choose?
Your suit of armor, or a false protection that one day want be able to save you.
Lies and truths they die the same,
but they don't pay the same,
and sometimes that's with a deeper grave.
