Author's Note
I hope you enjoyed these Haiku poems. These non-rhyming poems first emerged in Japanese literature in the 17th century, but were not known as Haiku until the 19th century.
When we think of seasons, we typically think of the seasons of the year.
But take a moment to re-read the poems above in the context of the seasons of your life. Ahh, interesting, isn't it?
It's true. Our lives really are seasons of experiences that can stretch over a period of days, weeks, months, and even years. With those experiences come emotions - some positive and some negative.
It's so important to cultivate these experiences so we can truly cherish life. So we can grow. So we can live our fullest lives. So we can become our best selves.
Can you see the seasons of life you've lived already?
More importantly, what beautiful seasons await?
