Slipping away in a second,
The life once lived,
Soon becomes a distant memory.
Those who've cherished you,
Those you've helped,
Will never forget you.

Even after you're gone.

Death is so sudden they say.
The only thing certain in this lifetime.
So use your time wisely.
Cherish all moments life has to offer you.

Forget the petty fights.
The wrongs and rights of those around you.
Focus on what you have in front of you, the priceless gift of life.

For it may all be taken from you in a blink of an eye.

This was inspired after I attended a couple of funerals in my family this year.
I hope it can bring you peace when you read it if you have lost a loved one.
