Tired Days and Sleepless Nights

Pretty much make up my life

3 hours of sleep is expected at most,

Though often I get less

Then those sleepless nights,

During which I lie awake

Turn into the blinding light

Of a tired day

I usually last till noon,

before my systems start to shut down

My eyes droop, and my smile turns a frown

The light is bright, evrywhere I go,

It burns my tender eyes,

And I'm trying not to show

That my muscles always ache,

That my eyes are always sore,

That my head always hurts

That I can't eat much anymore

My mind stretches thin to pay attention

In every class I'm in

And it fights to keep me awake

Just like it fights to keep my fears within

And just like it fights

To put the nightmares away

The nightmares that huant me,

That pull me screaming out of sleep

The nightmares full, of those promises you didn't keep

They claw at me, bite me, pull my hope away

They remind me I'm so stupid, for thinking you would stay

For thinking you might actually care

But you don't

Becuase during all those sleepless nights

You were never there
