Unsaid
I picked out fresh roses
That I've chosen
Your favorite
I look up at the gust of wind
That knotted my hair and face
And looked at the deceiving sky
Like the day you died
I wished I told
You long ago
Back in the good ol' days
How much you were worth
More than gold and diamonds
That I found
Something made you different
From all the other boys.
Like from first glance
I fell into your trance
You were tough of tough
Rough of rough
But when I was with you
You were soft of soft
We led extraordinary adventures
Just you and me
From big adventures
Where we ran for our lives
To small hunts
Where we caught a small prize
When you held my hand
I gazed into your eyes
Such passion and love
Were all I saw
I felt my lips smash into yours
Our breaths
Mingled as one
I closed my eyes
As we took a look and smiled
You told me you loved me
But I hadn't said anything back
One deceiving night
We yelled and fought
You left me in the room
As I teared and wept
I couldn't help it
I packed my stuff
And ran for the hills
Where no one could find me
I heard a gunshot
Not far from me
From there you laid
Peacefully on the floor
I laid my head
And wept my heart out
Why did we fight?
Why haven't I told you my love?
My screams still haunt me,
As I turned old and grey
I wiped my tears from my eyes
As I kissed your grave
I fell asleep on the grave
As I wanted to move no more
Until I tell you
How much you meant to me
And that I love you
I should have told you
But it has been unsaid
------------------------------------------------------
Some things should never be unsaid. Whether it's like a crush or a sin so mortal, we should say something. Never let it say undone. It can come back, leave horrible memories, or any after effect. It is no fun. Yes the truth and past may hurt but we can run from it, or learn from it.
