What if we meet ten years down the line
And got to one knee and said. "Marry me, please"
Would wear that ring proudly
or discard it along with me

Could I hope that one day you love me the way I love you
Is there any way you could love this man full of sin

What if I said, " I love you."
Could I hope for you to say it back and mean it to

But theirs this great divide
that blocks me out
How could I wish to be so near when we're so far

Im tired sitting here
Writing words that have so meaningful, when we aren't even the same room

Is it a sin for,
Wanting something you can't have, and instead gain something you have no need for
