I saw her standing on a hill,

And I thought, What a mess

The sunset lit her hair on fire,

And she twirled in her sundress

I started up the hill,

but she made me pause in my advance

I could only watch in a stunned awe,

The way she and the wind danced

The clouds gathered around her,

And weeped upon her face

Her voice was one of sorrow

And cast shadows over the place

As I watched, the sun fell silent

So she sang her song to claim the night

The sky fell into darkness,

So her hands and face

Cast out a light

The stars fell just to catch a glimpse

Of the way her fingers brushed the skies

Even I, so far away,

Saw stardust falling from her eyes

Light puddled around her,

And she was swallowed by the stars

Even as I stumbled closer,

I felt so very far

She turned and saw me watching her,

As the world around her cried

She fell into my open arms,

And we danced into sunrise
