Sly Assassin
Shadows shift amongst the reeds
As fishermen tell tales of their deeds
Tales of dangerous tides
And tales of wonderful times.
A sailor was lost at sea today
Along with a cunning cast away
They say she tricked him to let her aboard
Then drowned him with some weights on a cord.
He's not the first and won't be the last
She's killed many in the past
Foolish men who were giddy with desire
Couldn't see through to the heart of a liar.
She's a slippery one, full of tricks
Some even think she may be a witch
They waste their lives in a foolish bet
Then find their payment to be death.
Sly assassin, tool for the rich
Can kill and never flinch
Emotionless, or so they say
You never get away.
