What if...

I have fallen into a world of what ifs...

What if we meet each other,
What if we become friends?
What if we grow closer?
Maybe more than friends...

What if you always have the ability,
To cause a smile on my face?
What if your eyes calm my inner storms?
I would want that to be the case...

What if you share my love for pretty skies,
What if watching them together becomes our thing?
I would show you the beauty of a Kruger sunrise,
And you would arrange a sunset picnic on the beach.

Would you ask me to come play golf with you,
Would you join me at the stables?
Would we watch the rugby together,
Because I prefer that to dancing on tables.

What if my thoughts have substance?
What if all this came true?
I would honestly be scared senseless,
Because I can imagine loving you.
