I was on Instagram and saw a photo where the girl looked good, but kept a straight face. Her caption was something like 'I promise I was happy in this photo'.

Now, you do you. I don't care, but I'd rather have a less than model like photo of me on Instagram that shows me smiling brightly, than one that gets 10000s of likes.

I don't post on Instagram to impress other people. I post photos to put some of my favourite memories out there. Every photo has a story and not one was really planned (except the photoshoots before dances).

My best friend chooses a picture with so much care, it becomes work.

Of course I'll check that I don't look like a troll doll, but I'm not that bothered about it. My smile is what matters.

Am I happy?

Like I said, you do you...but in my opinion, I'll take that less than perfect picture any day.
