For interrupting your presentation

     to point out your shoes are better,

         and making someone step out

           because they responded to me

Even though you

probably don't

care

or

remember,

I still feel bad

Why?

Because you're black and I'm white

In fact,

you're the only black person in that class

I feel like I'm

racist

for doing that, and for

mentioning slavery once

and how it was bad

during religion

and I'll only talk to you

about your basketball season or tournament

Some of it is

we're not friends

and

most of it is

me overthinking

but today,

you said hi to me.

maybe it's not that huge of a deal
