A thousand different leaves on different trees

There's a new flavor to this air darling
Can you taste it like I can?

You take flight with open wings

Scared of the silhouettes that chase you under the sun

Let the winds carry you far, my dear

And let the trees offer their branches like stairs into the sky

And let the moon be selfless as she'll give you a home

A home where I know you'll be safe, love

Safe to cry so that everyone on Earth will feel your tears like rain

Safe go bounds into the stars to say hello to your favorite constellations

Safe to creep into the clouds and merely lay down to escape your youth

I feel you my wanderlust friend

Your own butterfly is trapped inside your ribcage

Willing to leave , but you

Very much hesitant

I can take you to the clouds and up and up

Until maybe we're a little out of breath

And this time I won't let you fall

My ladder into the sky.
