When the storms of life,

Shake and toss me around

The temptations hard and fierce,

Choose to surround

My unstable faith and pierce

Deep into my relationship with you...

I will sing.

When the trials come,

Not letting me have my peace

And the tables start to turn,

Despite my constant pleas

To you on my knees,

I will praise.

When it seems like I've lost

All my connections to you

And the wires of prayers that links us

Is cut in two,

Even in my darkest hour,

During times when I can barely whisper

A word of prayer or two

And the sorrows and pain,

Jab hard enough to gain -

My full attention,

Then when I'm done,

All the strength in my body gone,

And there is nothing else to do

But rely on you,

I will say, just like Job;

Though he slay me,

Yet will I trust in Him,

But I will maintain my own ways before him.

Then with head bowed low,

Eyes closed with tears dropping,

Knees on the ground,

And hands clasped hard,

I will say a simple prayer, then say AMEN!
